Question:
I know some people posted and shared their worlds and how it's different from others, so I'll be asking that. I want to hear stories from your world. What is normal? How is it different and/or the same as this place? Has anyone been to other worlds before coming here? What is discrimination? What are heroes? Does everyone gains some kind of power and/or ability? What is murder to you? Are laws here different from home?
For my world, it's Earth with seven continents in the late 1900s. The cellphones back home are small and text messages weren't introduced yet. Normal to me is people with no powers going about to work or school. There are holidays, which I mostly celebrate from France. And the teas are delicious. That's... normal for me.
[action;]
A.)[Flower Shop: Attleton]
[Kirika worked more at the flower shop since school was still out for the summer. Zangoose, her pokemon that was tall as her, was mostly at the front like some bouncer. Dedenne, the mouse pokemon rested on top of Kirika's head and Zorua was somewhere.... oh wait, there was another Kirika?! But this one seemed more quiet.]
B.)[Genessia sewers:]
[For anyone with good hearing may pick up the slightest hint of gun shots under their feet. Cities are quite noisy but not undetectable.
Kirika doesn't mind going to the shooting range once in a while, but there were times she rather be isolated from the world, so down the sewers she went. There was a white chalk circle across the water canal with a flashlight shining on it. There were a couple bullet holes there indicating it's been there. Kirika's feet are next to the flashlight as she aimed her pistol for some good rounds.]

... H-Hello? How are... huh?

Good afternoon, welcome.
[One Kirika, with the Dedenne, did a double take. It's that guy from the elevator. The other one grinned happily, letting out a happy yelp before she unexpectedly pounced on Eliot. Incoming!]

But hello. I'm one of those who traveled to other worlds before. Even so, I'm curious to learn about others' experiences.
Re: text
The last place I was in, it was Discedo. I was pulled there unexpectedly. Kinda like in here.

So the Genessia business model is well rehearsed, I take it. How unfortunate that you've experienced it twice.
Unless you're one of the people who likes it here.

It's a better experience here than the last place. At least here, you have more freedom and the unnatural events doesn't occur often.

At least in mine.
I'm a police officer from California, USA. 2014. I hope murder laws aren't different. Heroes are just people doing their best, no special powers. And discrimination is often skintone.
Re: Text
That sounds about normal.
Re: Text
Re: Text
[GREAT. She doesn't even know about her own world's history.]
Re: Text
[text]
Aah, but my world is so lush, green, so many colors, waters, mountains, even sand, no buildings whatsoever. There were so many tribes, clans, families, all of whom we protected. We, Draconics, protect our families within our area.
My family lived on the tallest of mountains. So tall that I swore that the clouds could be touchable without flying. This mountain looked over everything..even The Shadow's kingdom! This was their planet and they gave Mountain Draconics such a wonderful mountain to live.
I hope The Shadow is proud, and that the humans, the cats, the birds..even the other region Draconics are okay..
Re: [text]
It sounds very lovely, and I hope so too.

I'm not sure what you mean by normal. It's not like this place because, well this place is pretty peaceful for the most part. Most of Eos is at war with Niflheim so, yeah. I mean most people are normal like that, but everyone I know isn't very normal. I'm not normal either, for that matter.
Discrimination? Well, I mean if you want to know who's not liked, it's pretty much anyone from Niflheim because the government there is pretty terrible. People mostly say things, at least in the city they did.
Most people don't gain powers. Certain people do, like the king of Lucis, or the Oracle from Tenebrae. I think it's all granted by the crystal. But that's not something ordinary people can use.
If you intend to kill someone and it's not on the battlefield, it's murder.
The laws here are kind of the same as they were back home, generally, I think. Insomnia was pretty peaceful for most of my life.
Eos is dying a slow death, from the Starscourge. That's probably different. Hope that helps?
Re: [Text]
Normal, in a way what is conformable and standard to you. Everyone thinks of normal differently. And if I was comparing myself to my world, I wouldn't be normal either.
I see, so certain people are chosen for the roll of power and leadership.
Insomnia peaceful?
Will Eos get better?
[Text]
I've heard jokes about that forever, but yeah the name of the capital of Lucis was Insomnia. The Crown City. But it was peaceful until this last year, or almost two now. I've been here awhile.
It has to. We're working on it. It has to or we'll all die.
Re: [Text]
There are other cities like Hell and Heaven too. Yeah.
You'll die????
Re: [Text]
Well, if Eos dies, everyone will eventually. The starscourge brings daemons and soon enough people will be overrun and killed. I don't know how long that would take but...yeah we have to stop it.
Text
I have not traveled to other worlds before. Normalcy eludes me. I spent a significant amount of time in a military unit, isolated from general society.
There's discrimination based on class and/or family. The Ainu face discrimination from Japanese and Russians. There are laws restricting their way of life and culture. In Hokkaido, they're required to have Japanese names in a family registry.
People don't have powers, but there are superstitions.
Murder is intentional killing outside of self defense.
Heroes to one side are villains to the other side.

How have you adapted to waking up in a new world?

Re: [Text]
And cake sounds delicious. With tea.
[Text]
Perfect! You get the kettle on and I'll bring cake to the shop. Deal?
Re: [Text]
[Trouble! What trouble! She doesn't get it!]
Ah--Deal!
[Why not.]
[Text to Action?]
*And so, in a little while, Selphie goes to fetch a box of cupcakes from one of the local cake shops, and makes her way to the flower shop*
Helllooo!

Welcome.
[Small smile!]

Thank you! I brought cupcakes.
*She heads into the shop, obviously very comfortable and at home here, maybe more than she shoukd vr*
Lots of flavours so you can choose what flavours you like best.
*Selphie carries the box over to the till and opens the lid to reveal six very pretty cupcakes*
And if we feel nice enough then maybe we'll save one for Aya too!

Though I assume you mean the world we were born in, right?
Re: text;
If it's okay, I like to hear of any other worlds you've experienced.
text;
But the last world I would work at was kind of a place where pirates lived. I mean there were a lot of them. Was weird being law enforcement there as well they aren't necessarily the most lawful people.
[Was fun to cheat them out of money though.]
Re: text;
The last world I went to was a deserted world run by scientists who fled somewhere underground. It was survival, and the scientists had us fight their battle.
