[It's been hard to address in words the disastrous call that ended up with Azura at his apartment. Uai puts on a show of being calm, collected, and thoughtful, but he is none of these things. Not to the degree he'd like to be, anyway. So after childishly letting the event go unaddressed for weeks, Uai owes it to Azura to say something.

He intended to keep it private. Like a stupid nerd, he's rehearsed his words many times so that he won't mess up. But while his words are finalized, Uai is still a clumsy idiot when it comes to his emotions. Enough so that, in his fluster, he's switched the video from private to public.]

Uh, Azura? Sorry about the other night. I didn't mean for you to be at my place so late, or for things to escalate like that. Could I buy you an  apology... something? Dinner, or a drink...? Do you like accessories? 

[And now, finally realizing that he's made this public... Uai goes silent as it sinks in that he's embarrassed them both. ]

I should have just texted... Anyway! [acting like this was public on purpose:] Sounds like Fayren is a lot of trouble right now. Are magicks that backfire and corrupt people very common? Sounds like more risk than reward.  [hypocrite.]

I wonder what the consensus for dealing with that mage will be? Is it her fault for going crazy, or do we blame the magic?

[action - Fayren]
[After all of that humiliation, Uai can be found wandering around Fayren. He's trying to gather information on that nature mage from the newspaper, particularly about her corruption. He can be found popping in various magic stores and poking around to learn more about the magical artifacts in Fayren. He's also trying to find artifacts for undoing the spell and helping the spellcaster.

If he sees any pendent bearers, he's surprisingly quick to address them. Also, very quick to step out of their way in a paranoid attempt to avoid contact.]

Ah, sorry. I'm in your way. [He'll take a few steps back and hold his hands behind his back.] Are you shopping in Fayren because you're curious, or do you practice this type of magic?

You sound upset. (She is quiet, her voice almost sleepy.)

[Not at all who he wants hearing him so flustered! Or hearing about him being an indecent person. Oh dear.

He is sincerely trying to keep his voice calm and level with his reply:]

Yes, well, perhaps... Briefly. Don't worry about me.

Are you doing well? I'm not sure if you read the paper, but the forests of Fayren may be unsafe for some time.

(She considers his tone, smiling ever so faintly. Perhaps she has something that will brighten his day?)

I can protect myself now. (She switches to video, using her human fingers to do so. Then that young mortal face transforms, brilliant light shrouding her form. Hands and feet become cloven hooves; her neck and face lengthen.

"She did not look anything like a horned horse, as unicorns are often pictured, being smaller and cloven-hoofed, and possessing that oldest, wildest grace that horses have never had, that deer have only in a shy, thin imitation and goats in dancing mockery."

She steps back far enough for him to see her fully. She shines like moonlight on the snow and her ears swivel in her curiosity.)

Can you see me?

[Uai wasn't sure what he expected, but it wasn't this. He had almost given up hope on the idea of Amalthea ever returning to her true form. So despite knowing her secret, it's a sincere surprise to see a unicorn on screen.

Predictably, he does brighten up. Quite a bit, actually: Uai is almost uncharacteristically happy, and secretly very relieved.]

You're back! How wonderful! How did this happen? Did the magic wear off? How are you feeling?

[Have a face that looks pleasant enough... aside from the urge to murder in her eyes.]

...And just what do you need to apologize to my darling sister for?

A pair of Magicians helped me. I can be a woman or a Unicorn as I wish. (Which is highly useful for fitting in wherever she needs to go.) The spell can be controlled by me.

(She is a creature of legend. Of course she has some control of magic and now she has no need to fear mortality - though she will never forget its touch.

Laying down in the grass, she tugs her communicator closer with her mouth.)

I am like no Unicorn that has ever existed before. But it feels good to be this way.

[Oh goodness. Azura isn't certain how to answer at first, flustered as she may be. ]

Uai, you don't need to worry. My visit was voluntary, you owe me nothing...

[But, she does admit she would like to see him in person again, so she considers.] I would hope spending more time with me wouldn't be out of obligation or something you felt you owed me.

[That look does not go unnoticed. Uai expected this kind of reaction, but he is no less shaken to see it actually happen.]

Ahhh, well. It’s complicated. She was being quite kind and I may have asked too much.

[He asked for nothing, but Uai always sees himself as a guilty party.]

Huh? N-No, or... [He is about to insist he doesn’t deserve her company, but remembers all of the times she has corrected that. Look at him: Learning!]

... It’s an excuse to spend time together. Owing you favors is. So what?

Trust me, boy it's in your best interest to tell me exactly what happened. I'll be the judge of what is 'asking too much'.

Isn't that even more splendid? You're a unique unicorn. [He's amused to see her adapt so quickly. Then again, being human was probably the bigger challenge for Amalthea. The way she moves the communicator just cements the fact that this is her real form.]

Then I will retract some of my concern. Still, I don't want you being troubled by this out of control mage. It sounds annoying, if nothing else.

[On one hand: Uai is a reckless idiot who frequently invites trouble. He might withhold the story simply 'because,' and have no fear for the safety of his human illusion.

But this is one of Azura's sisters. She probably won't be a one-time encounter and it's in his best interest to be nice to her... For Azura's sake, more than his own.

All that said: How does he explain this without talking about his true form?]

I got sick and she came over to look after me. And spent the night, I guess? I didn't hurt her!

(She tucks her slender legs beneath her, the tip of her horn shining like a star. This is much easier for her - he is correct. Being a human had been painful and awkward. She had battered herself against the doors of her cage and they never budged. Until now.)

They will have a hard time catching me. If I don't want to be seen, I won't be. (She can enter the forest and become practically invisible. Especially to human eyes.)

Hmm? If you can become unseen when you want, should I worry about never seeing you again?

[He's teasing. He hopes. Uai is awkward in his new releationships around Genessia, and it often shows.]

You mentioned before that unicorns and dragons are natural enemies? I hope the dragons of Fayren don't give you any grief. [Also showing: How much and how needlessly he worries.]

I came to you. (Which says a lot. She doesn't even always go to virginal princesses! But Uai has become a friend.)

If they do not hurt anyone, I have no reason to harm them. (They must abide by their natures, yet there is something human in the way she thinks now.) Are you alright? I don't know how to help.

[And then, oops. The conversation has turned back to his embarrassing video post... and also, some hidden happiness that she isn't going to hide away from him.]

It's... nothing to worry about, really. My conversation with Azura isn't, at least. I am still trying to figure out how to approach the issue of that magic user. Hana enjoys that forest too and I can't let someone put her in danger.

[Please don't be a part of this hugely extended family that Corrin implied because Uai isn't ready to meet the fam yet.]

Goodness, you don't need an excuse of course. You're always welcome to visit. But I suppose if you truly need one, I'll accept lunch, or dinner if you'd let me cook.

[She's going to hide the way that makes her stomach flipflop with a laugh and some light teasing apparently.]

She's lived with us in Hoshido for a long time. She's like a sister to us.

[Technically a prisoner in Hoshido, but she earned a great deal of freedom. Even being considered a Princess of Hoshido.]

[The fact she agrees to spend time with him is not surprising, but he doesn't know how else to describe why it caught him off guard. Especially when she offers to cook.]

Only if I can help? Unless that's too forward? [He has to doublecheck, because making supper did count as a date with Hana. Uai isn't sure if it's too intimate to cook together.]

I think that name sounds familiar... [Only 'like a sister?' No blood relation, then, or any official documentation?

Oh well. The conversation is playing out in a civil fashion, so Uai lets himself relax. If this is another member of Azura's extended family, then he has to play nice.]

Hm. What's your name? I'm Uai.

That would be wonderful! [it's not a date unless it's SUPPOSED to be a date, in her mind. Besides, she's just glad for the opportunity. Uai, she's noticed, can sometimes be rather squirrely when it comes to things like this.]

Why would it be too forward? [she tilts her head to the side a little, the hair in her face swishing to the side with the movement.] Oh! Are you worried it's a date?
