So I'm going with Everglade PD. If they'll have me. But I'm stocking up on specialized bullets, just in case. And taking a bounty. -- Which is really weird to say. Don't worry, I'm not going Dog the Bounty Hunter, if anyone knows who that is.

Anyway, I'm taking recommendations on firearms, and specifically, anti-magic bullets. What is there that combats superpowers? Anything? And what's the normal defense against such things?

Oh annnnnd to all the Doctors and healers that helped first day, tha-- [Wow he can't even get the word out. WHY IS IT SO HARD?]

Oh, welcome to the force, sir~! I'm Detective Satou Kuroneko! Sounds like we'll be working together~.

I'm able to produce hand guns and bullets, if you need them. As for anti-magic bullets, I wouldn't say there's any such thing that you can rely on. Magic is different for everyone and there's never going to be a cover-all approach to nullifying it.

Is there a particular threat or resident that concerns you?

But err... no. I just heard that there was a cult killing magic users in Fayren, and even if it hasn't spread, I was trying to figure out the next move that would be needed to protect people here.

Back home, my partner used a modified rifle to shoot ki-based bullets. Or close enough to it to be effective, if not actual ki bursts. Not sure if they have something similar hear, but considering it's basically a burst of energy it should be a good basic type of round for you against most things. I'll ask Mai, or my mother--she's invented things like that before.

Also check with Torchwood, although they're not big on guns. We've been trying to more maintain good relations and peaceful coexistance between various beings--but some beings don't always play nice, and there are a lot of us working there with various skill sets who could help. I can ask and look into it, if you don't want to go there yourself.

Vampire ones, huh? According to myth, silver works for that... But silver is pretty expensive. Is it a daytime vampire problem, or something after hours here..?

As for a cult such as that one... Hmm. I carry my guns for those situations, or pre-load spells into cartridges so they can't be nullified as easily. The best we can do to protect everyone is to be diligent...

Ah, so you're new to this? No worries! I think you'll catch on quickly. Honestly, the criminals here are all similar in that some good force and effort can take 'em out.

[Then again, Satou is trained for speedy and clean takedowns. Everglade and its variety of criminals are right in her element.]

I could loan you some pre-loaded spells. They fire from guns and are activated by gun powder. The recoil may feel different from what you're used to, since the spell activation will affect the physical force.

The bullets with spells in them will dissolve and become harmless, which generally lessens the amount of force required for them to exit the barrel of the gun. It'll feel a bit strange, but many of the spells will absorb some of the force for spellcasting. On the other hand, a few spells will activate and unleash extra force. It depends on the magic you're firing.

You're welcome to practice with some of my bullets in a firing range and see how they feel to you.

My partner and I figured we'd take on the vampire bounty so we aren't rusty. She can do magic sort of, but I can't.

I'm not an expert on vampires myself. What I've gathered from the books around here if a correlation between blood and power... Since it's Everglade, it might help to bring them in unharmed so that the vampire civilians don't feel uncomfortable with the case.

I'm sure your magic user friend will have that end covered. I can make you some spells as a precaution, too.

Yeah. There's all sorts of magic and powers and weird stuff round here. And it's bullshit having to sit by and let the people with the 'special skills' deal with it.

Apparently there are magic bullets, but not anti-magic bullets, everything has to be tailored. Makes sense. I don't know what the anti-magic cult uses though.

PD stands for Police Department. Bounty hunters go after bad guys too, but usually more violently and for a price. I don't usually like them much.
