As for safety, I've only just arrived myself several days ago, but so far haven't encountered anything too terrifying. Everyone else here has stated that this place is mostly harmless, apart from being brought here to begin with.

This place seems to have a sense of mischief, as I understand it, and there are other little quirks of the place -- arenas where people choose to engage in combat, for example, though I believe that's done willingly.
