[Closed log: don't give kids a demon]
Who: Dante Sparda, Shota Aizawa, Katsuki Bakugou, and Augustine Gheorghe Vlad Tepes. [Special guest star: Demon Moth Vassago]
What: Demon hunting and giving Augustine a talk later
Where: Genessia - Park
When: After this and this.
Notes: Augustine gave Bakugou a demon. Worst decision ever!
After the talk with Dante, Aizawa geared up in his hero attire and left the complex. He even brought the goggles in case. The little kitten, Lord Destruction, still didn't left his hiding spot, but instead gave a soft meow as the teacher left. Aizawa didn't waste time, he jumped and scaled up the first building he saw to get a better view. He expected to follow a trail of explosions at least. Kid was smart, but he had his bursts.
Aizawa was thinking back before this event happened. A giant moth, that's the demon. The only person he could suspect was Augustine, the one who was persisted from Bakugou to teach him. Aizawa remembered well, he let that slide, even gave permission only cause he thought it would end in a fail, but it didn't. It was suppose to be some conversation to brush off the table, and it didn't. Augustine still went along with it, bastard. Aizawa was mentally kicking himself. There will be punishment tonight, on a couple of people.
First priority, finding Bakugou. Where else would a kid go after dark? Aizawa swung building to building, and ran on top of power lines until he found a nice perch to sit on top of. He perched there, scanning the area. Now, where are you kid?

Ducking into an alley, Bakugou sent a rapid text to Augustine.]
Got a place to crash?
[His heart was hammering. Fuck, he hated this. He started running again, vaulting over a fence and in front of a crowd.
"You okay kid?"
"You look like you've seen a demon."]
Get back. [He growled, but their stares bored into his soul. They were going to hurt someone. They were going to hurt his friend. Roaring, he sent an explosion into the wall as a warning, revealing his location.]
Did I fucking stutter?!
no subject
Listen to him. Get out of here and send any repair bills to the Attleton Guardian's office. I'm taking care of this.
[When he turns to Bakugou after dropping down from a nearby roof, he's holding a three-headed aquamarine flail connected to a ring.]
Bakugou if you can hear me over the whispers, do yourself a favor and tell your friend to stop using a kid as a meat shield and get his cowardly ass out here to take his lumps like a respectable demon.
no subject
Dante was the hunter, Aizawa was the hero. His main priority was saving, Bakugou. For now, he was on stand by.]
no subject
Whatever. Nothing new.
Staring at Dante with a mix of fear and spite, Bakugou started to slump, poofy spikes hiding his face. Something was gnawing at him, it was cold, and he had to destroy the fucking source of it. It was him, wasn't it? That smug, lazy bastard.]
I'll kill you. [He growled, his voice so low it sounded like gravel. His head snapping up, he reached out to keep Dante away. He was trusting Vassago.]
DIE!!! [Instead of his normal explosives, there was a resounding boom as he shot a tornado of fire straight for his path. Even Bakugou was caught off guard, and he stood there in shock.]
no subject
I know you can hear me, you demon fuck. And I know you know I'm half demon. Hiding behind the kid isn't going to get you anywhere. So you have two choices right now. Come out here and try to kill me to protect your host, or come out here to try and possess me.
I mean, I'd be a far better vessel anyway. And because I know you know I'm half demon, I'm pretty sure you also know that one human kid's life isn't all that important to me. I'm a hunter. I always get my prey one way or another, and I will carve my name into your goddamn soul if you make me wait any more.
[Hopefully Aizawa would catch on to Dante's bluff regarding Bakugou's well-being. That said, he was prepared to rough the kid up enough to scare the demon out of hiding if necessary. Hopefully however this demon was either dumb enough to try and possess him, or arrogant enough to protect its host... But he was kind of flying blind at the moment.]
no subject
He also remembered Dante talking one day they need to fight this out, which was why Aizawa didn't make a move, yet. Dante countered that well, and it was hard not to counter. Then there was Dante's bluff, he caught it fast. So he continued to wait.]
no subject
[Bakugou was seething. Or he thought he was. He needed to get rid of that obnoxious flail so he could finally shut Dante up.]
Why do you think he listens to me? I was stronger than him, and now he belongs to me. No one wants your wrinkled, senile ass.
[But that bluff was all that was needed to put him over the edge. Bakugou tensed up, the fear in his eyes betraying him, before he looked down. In the remaining dim streetlight, the mothlike shadow seemed to grow. So he was going to try to kill him, huh? Aizawa had sent Dante to kill him.
Aizawa wanted to kill him.]
Just die. [He mumbled, barely audible, and went flying at Dante in a surge of wind and fire as he started trying to assault the threat with tornado after tornado, each one more powerful than the last.]
Die, die die die die die die die JUST FUCKING DIE!!!
no subject
Wrong move, bug boy. Should've shown your face and fought, at least then you'd have a fighting chance than hiding behind a human kid. But, I guess that's Jackpot for me, baby.
[His thumb pulls back the hammer of the gun. Here's hoping the demon wouldn't call his bluff...]
no subject
He's going to die here. He's just going to fucking die... His teacher hates him, which means everyone else does. He didn't care about the disapproval, but now it was costing him his life. But he had amounted to nothing to begin with, hadn't he? He was just the powerless kid who kept needing to be saved.
Fuck that.
The air at his feet began to swirl, building up speed as it grew. It surrounded them both, Bakugou clutching his pendant with a hot, glowing palm.]
I'm no one's shield.
no subject
[In just mere seconds, a bright golden light erupts all around Bakugou in the form of a mock barrier between Dante and the kid. Despite it being comprised of light, the barrier itself is hard like stone. The shield remains around Bakugou as the odd pendant upon the boy's chest glows menacingly.]
Your quarrels are with me, hunter! Not with the boy.
[Suddenly the blood stone at the end of the pendant shatters and several golden glyphs appear under Bakugou's feet.]
Forgive me for the intrusion, young master.
[Demon's voice is booming within Katsuki's mind but the others can hear it as well. The demon in question doesn't quite sound like one would expect a demon to sound like. It sounds youthful, almost childlike with a hint of an old world flair in the terms of its thick accent.]
But this isn't your fight.
[Suddenly, the boy is yanked aside as something large, fuzzy and definitely buzzing soars out of the summon glyph and straight at Dante. Vassago is much larger now than earlier when Bakugou fought him. Instead of it being the same size as the blond brat, the demon is quite taller than Dante and twice as viscous despite how pretty those colorful moth-like wings are.
The enormous bug thrusts its massive long stinger at Dante in quick succession much like a rapier. It keeps doing so while all the while taunting the hunter with a maddening laugh.]
En garde!
no subject
AIZAWA, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! Get him out of here!
[Once he's said that, he turns his attention back to the demon, still holding onto the stinger still firmly planted in his chest.]
You done goofed, bug face. Never sleep on the son of a legendary Dark Knight!
no subject
It was irrational to call him out like that. Dante was reckless, maybe worst than a certain hero, and don't get him started with the bluffs. Still, he has some hell of a few quirks.
The hero heard Dante well while perched up on a side of a building. He didn't waste time when Dante called him out, he dropped down. The scarfs wrapped around his neck rose and spread out, as if commanded by the Eraserhead himself. Once a foot landed on the ground, Aizawa sprung forward, top speed, as he glided a couple inches off the ground towards Bakugou and the glowing sphere. Behind the goggles, his eyes open wide, sending his hair up, his eyes locked on all of them, erasing anyone's abilities in sight. He apologized to Dante in his mind, he would had to endure no quirks just for a moment until he was no longer in sight.]
Sorry! But you're in my line of sight!
[An apology towards Dante. Now for the serious matter. He called out to Bakugou, he was here the whole time!]
Bakugou!
[The sphere around Bakugou shattered by his Erasures, canceling it out completely. Once Bakugou was in close range, Aizawa lowered himself down enough to scoop the kid over his shoulder and holding him with one arm. He used his other hand to grab a scarf and tossed it to a pole near by, and hoist the two up and swung away from the scene. Aizawa remained on the ground only cause it was a flying type. If he tried to take the boy up higher, chances were the demon would follow and that would prove troublesome. For now, it was best to get far away from them.
Once Aizawa felt he was far enough, and out of sight, he finally set Bakugou down in front of him. The fight could still be heard. But first, Aizawa checked on Bakugou, both hands rested on the boy's shoulders. The scarves that once danced around his neck settled quietly as his hair dropped from the air. His quirk was no longer active, for now.]
Hey, you okay?
[He spoke calmly, yet a hint of worry in his tone.]
You're fine now.
no subject
MOTH WINGS!!! DON'T KILL HIM! HE'S MINE!
[He manages to choke out, stepping forward, his hand twitching and ready.
Nothing happens.
His head snaps up when he hears his teacher's voice, putting two and two together. The world spins, and he starts to struggle.]
Fucking-! Let go! Old bastard's going to- he's going to- MOTH WINGS!!! DON'T LET HIM KILL YOU OR I'LL KILL YOU MYSELF!!!
[He hits Aizawa's back, he kicks, squirms and screams. Once he puts him down, he looks up at him, smiling grimly.]
You going to stop being a coward and kill me yourself?
Then fucking do it.
no subject
Treacherous swine! [The overgrown moth-wasp lets out a shrill shriek loud enough to ring throughout the entire park. It's angry. Very angry.] I don't give a damn if you're the Son of God, you geriatric albino!
[It seems that the archfiend read some of Bakugou's thoughts earlier regarding Dante. That's...moderately hilarious.
Vassago tries to free its stinger by firmly yanking at it while attempting to gnaw on the demon hunter's head. Say "goodbye" to a few strands of hair, Dante. It's chomping away with those oversize mandibles.]
I'm biting your head clean off!
[The damn monster tries to make good with that threat but Bakugou's yell distracts it. Vassago peeks over behind the hunter and spots the child being held hostage by some weirdo wearing a stupid scarf and sunglasses.]
Master!?
[The creature turns to Dante as its wings start to glow vibrantly and a whole slew of colors.] BACK OFF!
[When it beats its wings, a powerful gust of wind slams forward with enough force to knock over the trees nearby. This annoying wind demon is trying its best to shake the hunter off his stinger by any means. Its summoner is in peril!]
no subject
Hey, eyes on me, fuck face. I'm your opponent, not him.
[To accentuate the comment, he swings Cerberus at a wing, the two flail heads chilling the air around it to ludicrous degrees as they travel.]
no subject
Idiot.
[He waited for a moment to let that sink into Bakugou. Standing on the side line back there, he had to watch all this, again. He was powerless, like back in UA where he had to play the media part, he hated it, but it was the logical thing to do, to rely on other heroes and get a plan. Like now.. that's what he had to do.
He then just pulled Bakugou close to him with his other hand and wrapped that arm around the kid, embraced him, with the other arm following.]
Stop being so reckless and I won't have to.
no subject
Shut up! Shut up.
[He keeps repeating it, hoping it conceals the fucking tremors. If he stays angry, then he won't cry. The fear and paranoia still lingers, but with the distance between himself and his demon, his mind begins to clear. Enough to realize the reality of the situation. Reaching up, his curls his fist into a weird deathgrip/hug, screaming in anger.]
no subject
Meanwhile, the creature itself seems to be losing its hold over Bakugou along with his tether to this realm. Vassago's body is starting to fade slowly and surely into a golden ash. Without its master near and under its enthrall, the archfiend is having difficulties staying in this realm of reality.]
Give him back! Give him back!
[The bug eventually lands upon the ground once its left wings gives out.]
Curse you!
[It quickly attempts to take flight again but instead it can only glide short distances.]
no subject
You're not going anywhere, fucker.
[With another strike of Cerberus, Dante breaks off the stinger, and slams it through the bugs thorax into the ground. He walks around, getting in the demon's face.]
You're telling me what the anchor is that holds you to the kid. Whether this is quick and simple or if I torture it out of you is up to you, Mothra.
no subject
no subject
Don't act like a fucking bitch and give up now, Moth Wings.
no subject
Vassago was barely given time to recover until the accursed hunter stabs its own stinger right through its gut. The overgrown wasp lets out a terrifying screech worthy of fright. If half the neighborhood wasn't already woken up, that certainly would've jolted everyone awake.
It wheezes something out in what sounds like Latin at the hunter, clearly cursing the very day he was born and then some. While some of its body is still fading into dust the butterfly wasp decides to heed its master's words and spits something likened to acid at Dante.]
I don't fear you! [It says defiantly with a hint of arrogance in its voice.]
Do your damnest. That boy belongs to me.
no subject
See this? This is what's called a Vital Star in my world. It's a handy little bit of candy. Alchemically created, crystalized life energy. Guaranteed to pull even the most injured of humans from the brink of death.
[He balls his fist around the stone before forcing open the moth's mouth or whatever passes for it, and jamming it as far in as possible.]
I'm not letting you die until you tell me what your anchor is. [He stands, going over to the stinger impaling the bug and twists the stinger.]
Now talk, and I'll let you out of this, otherwise I get to do this all night.
no subject
Come on, let's hurry and get you home.
[Better that than letting a kid watch how a hunter does his job, he thought. And... he needed to take care of something later too.]
no subject
It refuses to talk.
So after being forced to choke down the Vital Star, the demon hisses at Dante again as it tries desperately to break free. It flutters his wings wildly pelting the demon hunter with a barrage of powerful gusts. When Dante makes good with his threat, the creature howls in absolute agony. It keeps trying to break free with little avail.
Vassago is in agony.]
My lips are sealed, hunter.
[It says defiantly as more of its body fades into golden ash.]
Unlike you, I know where my loyalites lie, Son of Sparda.
no subject
Whatever, he'll follow Aizawa in the meantime.]
no subject
Bad choice of words, bug breath. [Dante takes a hold of the stinger and just rotates it, making the curve of the stinger do a complete 180. Afterward he walks around to the demon's head, and forces it to watch Bakugou leave the scene.]
Your loyalties lie with a summoner who doesn't seem to care about your plight now that you're not whispering in his ear. Besides, if you know who my old man is, you know that I'd be far better suited to handling your power. Tell me what the anchor is, and you can roll with me instead. Sound like a deal?
no subject
As they moved, their back would be against the fight. Just a little more and they can be out of sight.]
Late Evening
[Augustine grumbles as he strolls down the street while fishing around within his suit pocket. He's tired. Very tired. After spending the entire day stuck within various meetings at work, Augustine was looking forward to just getting some sleep. It's been a busy day but unfortunately, it's not over just yet.]
Of course I stuck it in here. [He mutters once he found his phone within his bag.] At least it's not at the office.
[The dhampir mutters quietly as he scrolls through the notifications. It's then that he stumbles upon the message Bakugou sent to him earlier. A strange sense of dread washes over him briefly once he sees the timestamp.
This was an hour ago.]
Bakugou? [He attempts to call the boy but no one is picking up.] Katsuki?
[It just keeps ringing and ringing...]
no subject
His eyes activated, hair flared up when he set his sight on Augustine. Augustine was now quirkless. Aizawa jumped in from behind Augustine, Augustine probably felt a soft eerie breeze, like a prowler hunting for their prey.]
He's safe.
[Aizawa plainly said, with a low tone close to Augustine's ear. Someone was pissed. Augustine would find scarfs envelop around him, barely touching his body yet. It was when Aizawa stepped forward, he pulled the scarf and binding the vampire mage completely. But it wasn't over yet, as he pulled harder on the scarf, Augustine would not only find himself tied, his arms were bind behind him, together, and then hoisted up in the air. The lamp post held him up there.
The time Aizawa finished this, he was crouched down, his hair dropped. He held the other end of the scarf.]
No thanks to you.
no subject
Y'know, it's funny. Demon magic is a tricky thing. Especially when it's summoning and binding a massive wasp butterfly fire demon thing to a teenager. One that has - I'm fairly certain at least - has had no magical training in his world.
[He stops right in front of where Aizawa had Augustine pinned, squatting down to get more on Augustine's level.]
Got any idea how that happened? I mean it couldn't have been you, right? You're not stupid enough to make that sort of stupid choice, are you?
no subject
[It happened all too fast.
One moment Augustine was eyeing the text upon his phone, the next he was binded by what seemed to be some kind of cloth. The mage was just seconds away from summoning his demon but something was wrong. Very wrong. It's like an invisible hand was metaphorically choking him. The odd chill that runs down his spine heralds the insanity to come. He stands there quiet in complete shock until he's suddenly hoisted into the air.]
Ahh?! [The shock finally wears off once he's dangling up high.] Unhand me!
[He struggles in his bonds briefly but even with his vampiric strength, he simply can't break free. An angry hiss escapes Augustine once Dante comes into view.]
The hell is the meaning of this, Guardian Sparda? [There's such malice in his tone.] I've done nothing wrong!
The boy asked for my tutelage and I was given permission to do so by his bloody guardian!
[He sure hopes Aizawa can hear the beast-like snarl that escapes him. He's pissed. Thoroughly so.]
Put me down!
no subject
That's the best excuse you got? You still haven't grown. [Aizawa's tone fell low as he growled. He's holding the cloth scarf tight, keeping Augustine at bind, tightening it if needed. He plants one foot on the lumbar region on his back.]
I didn't give you permission just so he can bring a demon home. 'Give it a shot, and get it over with'. But I guess it was hard for you to read between the lines.
no subject
[Of course as he says it, Dante walks over to where Augustine hit the ground and proceeds to sit on him. Not gently either. Oh, also he has Ebony drawn, just twirling it on his finger.]
Also, I fail to see how "training" a kid that can make things explode and is very physically minded, translates into binding a demon to.
Call me old fashioned but, giving a kid a demon pet is a bad idea.
no subject
Is the origins of that odd power coming from Aizawa's eyes? That has to be the case since that strange power is still suffocating him. If he had his hands free, Augustine would've easily blocked that sloppy strike but Aizawa is a coward.
A coward who hits like a truck.
Augustine let's out a pained gasp once that bastard hits him. A thin trickle of blood flows down from his bottom lip, a result of both the fall and punch. His powers are completely subjugated. He's damn near human right now.]
What was there to read?! [ He manages to shout in between gasps.] You doubted him! You thought it wasn't possible but he proved you wrong!
He managed to prove us all wrong. You didn't seem perturbed at the thought and if you were, you should've said it--oof!
[Augustine let out a pained gasp once that bastard Sparda sits on him. That son of a bitch is heavy, especially now. He's starting to have trouble breathing. Aizawa's damn quirk is reaping havoc on him.]
I had my reservations too but I was his age when I first trained in the Dark Arts.
[He let's out a defeated sigh. Neither one of these idiots are listening and Dante is far too triggered happy to care.]
Vassago wasn't going to hurt him. Despite Bakugou gaining control of it, I'm still his true master.
no subject
The one thing that fools the enemy about his quirk, they think his quirk is still active or their powers are subdued while he's present. Augustine probably had that set in mind, which made it easier for his capture. And the way Augustine continued to flap his mouth more and honestly it was coming close for another punch. He sighed as he added some eye drops to his eyes before he crossed his arms. For now, he was waiting for his quirk to recharge in case it was needed.]
It still fucked him up.
[Flat said it.]
And made a mess earlier involving civilians. Did you ever thought the consequences that might had? And not only to him?
no subject
Yeah, and you turned out SO good. Look at you now. Binding demons to kids, letting the demon whisper in their ear and nearly torch some civilians.
[That last pat might not be as much condescending as much whacking Augustine rather sharply.]
Got any other excuses?
no subject
Or rather, that's what was supposed to happen.]
Quit it! [Augustine tries in vain to shrug off the hunter but he can't. Oh, there will be hell to pay for all this---] You're telling me that Vassago was whispering that into Bakugou's mind?
[The shock lingers. Usually, Vassago is nothing more than a cheeky pest at best but the demon was telling Bakugou to hurt others? That's...not what he expected. Demons only prey after those who possess a weak mind---Oh.
Silence claims Augustine now. No, he doesn't have any excuses but he has a clear understanding of what happened. Even if he was Bakugou's age when he first started practicing the arcane arts, Augustine isn't human.]
...Did you kill the archfiend? [He asks suddenly.] Is the boy well?
I can only assume that the archfiend's thrall will only linger for a day or so.
[He pauses for a moment and let's out a heavy sigh.]
I'm....I apologize.
no subject
Aizawa didn't want to answer anymore to this guy, there was only rage and frustration in his mind, and he isn't in the right mind to make any rational decisions. So he kept quiet, let Dante take care of this.
And of course, he apologizes in the end, finally.]
no subject
[Dante's just going to continue to mess with Augustine's hair mainly because he knows it bothers the vampire.]
Yeah, he's fine. He'll be fine too. Because you're going to fix this. I've got plans, bucko. Plans you're not going to like, but you're going to go with if you value your freedom.
no subject
[Okay. No matter how good his hair looks tousled, Augustine doesn't like being patronized like this. He growls quietly much like an angry feline until Dante mentions something.]
Fine, fine. Just get off me already!
no subject
[Dante gets up, and motions for Aizawa to release Augustine.]
Next week, you're going to film a series of shitty PSA's on the dangers of demon summoning.
no subject
If we're done here, I'm leaving.
no subject
That and Astaroth at this point since the demon is free from its bindings. An enormous black wolf emerges from his shadow, one wearing the skull of an elk upon its head. The archfiend says nothing as it approaches.
It merely stands obediently before its master keeping Dante and Aizawa both at bay.]
PSA?
[Augustine arches his brow at that while petting the demon. He's discreetly trying to calm himself down lest Astaroth will strike on his behalf.]
I doubt there's other summoners like me here in this realm. [A pause.] At least not anymore.
[The only other summoner he knew was a child, ironically enough.]
Aizawa. [He turns his gaze back to the human looking just a tad calmer but barely.] Tell Bakugou that I'm sorry.
no subject
Apologize yourself.
[He said flatly.]
