Action; All Cities Except Everglade
[He was starting to get his bearings at least, learning the areas that were best for his jobs, mostly the whole being an entertainer and gambler thing as his other job was solely within Genessia. It was what he was used to and his clowning around he always found fun, but rarely had found the time to do stuff with it except a few times in the last world.
He thought he was making a career out of it. Today as he was setting up in his spot, he was planning on doing something somewhat simple. Juggling. It wasn't that hard to do, but he was already planning on not using just balls one would normally do. Nope, he was planning to juggle with knives instead on top of a ball.
Might as well try something different and stand out, or at least try and stand out. When he was ready and the knives were safely attached to his belt he moved to stand on the ball, standing on one foot and keeping his balance before he attempts to even get anyone's attention.]
Ladies, Gentleman, children of all ages. I am Allen the Crowned Clown and today I will demonstrate to you my skills and abilities the likes of which you might have never seen before.
[One thing Allen knew well was how to get an audience. People gathered and it wasn't long before Allen removed the knives from his belt and started to juggle, the whole time moving his feet and making the ball move. He was focused on everything he could and as he as he caught the last knife he jumped off the ball and bowed to applause.]
Thank you. Thank you. Please if you enjoyed that little performance come back again in a few hours or if you can't please leave a tip with my friends over there. [He gestured toward Timcampy the golden golem and his little Pokemon companion who was more occupied with something else as Allen gave a bow and went to grab a towel.]

This might seem dumb, but as I am nearing the end of my month at the commons I need to decide about my living arrangements. I am aware there are three methods, but I want to hear from others about which they would think would be better? Living the life of a nomad which the pro of it is it's cheaper, con is that when it's cold that would be bad, living alone in an apartment which helps in cold weather but I would need to pay for rent and food by myself and with my eating habits that's easier said than done or find a roommate, which the downside is they would have to... deal with my eating habits.
[Speaking of eating habits, Allen did have another question.]
Speaking of food though, another question. Are there any all you can eat places? I have my reasons.

[ACTION! RUN!]
[He names himself Allen the Crowned Clown, and that confirms it. She didn't know he could do stuff like this. Pretty cool! She applauds enthusiastically with the rest of the people, even giving an enthusiastic 'YEAH!' to get people more pumped into giving him better patronage.]
[She waits her turn to do the same, placing some red bills, and stopping short when she sees the tiny flying gold ball.]
Well aren't you a cutie!
[Hopefully it doesn't bite, because she's totally giving it a single-finger chin scratch. ...Or whatever passes for a chin.]
[ACTION! RUN!]
While he was focused on that Timcanpy seemed happy enough getting some attention even going as far as to fly slightly to fly around the other for a moment before Allen was even paying attention by looking over.]
Ah! Hi there. Sorry I didn't notice you right away. I hope you weren't there for long?
[He would feel bad if she had really.]
no subject
[Especially with that strange mutated hand of his. That had been a shock; she hadn't noticed that when he'd contacted her earlier.]
I figured we might as well meet in person. Are you done for the day, or heading off to your next gig?
no subject
[Advantage of travelling with a performer, you learn a lot of skills one would need in this situation... sort of. He never really expected to ever use them. He lifted his finger as Tim happily landed on his for the time being.]
It depends, if I get decent enough tips, I'll end it for the day. But for now, just taking a break and if I have to think of the next performance.
no subject
[Minako might be a huge flirt, but she can also be a pretty good friend, and she can see that he's probably hot after doing all of that in the August sun. She dashes off.]
[Tick tock tick tock.]
[After finding a nearby vending machine, she returns with a can of lemonade and lychee juice, holding out both so he can choose the one he likes best. If he's amenable to sitting down, she'll share her pork buns too so they can eat and talk.]
Where'd you learn to do this kind of stuff? It must have taken years of practice.
no subject
[He pretty much was going to use that time to make sure everything really was packed away and that Tim was keeping guard of his items. After all, he had decided to travel while doing this, so he had no place to really keep his belongings.
When she had returned though, Allen had been currently balancing with one hand on the ball just to check that he could actually do it. Turned out, he could. When he spotted her, he was quick to jump off, landing on his feet before making sure to sit with her before answering the question.]
Mana. He was a travelling performer himself, so I learned everything from him. [He just couldn't help but give a smile as he said it.] Still never expected it to be of actual use until the last place I was in and of course here.
no subject
[She smiles and cracks open her can, but doesn't drink yet. She just holds it on her lap for now.]
So this Mana guy raised you? What about your parents? ...If it's all right to ask.
[Now she sips, just in case she asked a question that's way too personal.]
no subject
I... don't even know who my parents are actually.
[He didn't really let it get to him, for all he knew his parents were the ones who put him in that circus in the first place. But as soon as he looked over he wasn't as solemn as he was a moment ago. Instead, he was looking at the can he was holding before opening it.]
I don't let it bother me though. I just keep going, that's what I've been taught. To keep walking.
no subject
Your parents don't always define you. This Mana guy seems like a good teacher, and a great person to have around.
[The paper bag crinkles as she takes out a pork bun and offers it to him.]
Thanks for answering, by the way. I didn't mean to get too nosy, but I'd like to get to know you better.
no subject
[He paused, but he was quick to take up a subject change, happily taking the pork bun with a smile.]
Thank you. You're very kind to offer. [He moved to take a bite for a moment.] It's fine, really. There are certain subjects that I can talk about at least. [Once he was finished with the sentence he had finished the pork bun.]
But what about you. Tell me a bit about yourself?
no subject
[She adjusts herself, crossing her ankles (and surreptitiously scooting just a little closer) as she holds her juice can in both hands.]
Minako Aino, fifteen years old. My hobbies include sports, video games, and singing. I have one cat, but no siblings, and my dream is to be a famous idol someday!
[Minako grins. It's not likely that dream will come to pass, but she can have fun thinking about it just the same.]
I've been here for several months now, but I guess it's not the first time. I don't have any memories of being here before, but the other me opened an arcade and love matching business, which sounded like a great job to me! Obviously, hee hee!
[Her shoulders shake with a giggle.]
So it's my job to help people find love and happiness! If you're interested, I can sign you up~
no subject
[So people can come here more than once. He had to admit, that was not exactly an occurrence that happened in the last world often. At least one he was aware of was one girl, in particular, a friend of his was close to, but nothing else came to the top of his head.]
Guess returning is something that seems to happen in any world. [he took a sip of his drink, still sitting firmly in place, legs crossed for the moment. His smile soon changed to one much softer and gentle.]
But it's nice that you have a dream like that.
no subject
[She smiles widely. It's an invitation to share, if he likes! She's not about to complain about the reality of her situation, that her responsibilities have to come first before she can even consider being an idol. But who knows what the future holds?]
So what was this other world? I didn't even know places like this existed. And what was this other version of me doing?
[It's unsettling to think about, but she's still curious.]
no subject
[He assumed that was it. But he knew what exactly to say.]
That's because my dream, I guess... can't exactly be done here. That's all. I can only do that at home. [Well there was one hope he had, but he had yet to figure out that one can pretty much be true while he is here. Once he course he figures it out.]
How do I put it...the last world I was at we were told our home was taken over by darkness... but what was around were worlds like a world of pirates called Port Royal...That's where I worked. You had one world where you got turned into a toy as well... That one was...strange.
[He only went there once as he could recall really.]
As for you...Well... I know the you there was involved in setting up a... [He turned his head away slightly.]
Dating auction.
no subject
[She's not about to let him give up on his unspecified dream, that's for sure!]
[Her expression seems mildly surprised at his response, just before she giggles. No blushing. No shame.]
That sounds like something I'd do.
[And already did.]
It was a big success too! Of course, some people complained about not getting bid on, but that's their own fault.
[She would have offered extra help if they weren't so bitter and accusatory about it!]
no subject
[And that was pretty much proof really. He paused as he listened and... yep. She seemed to prove that yes, it really would have been something she would have done.]
I'm...admittedly glad I wasn't here at the time. The one where I was at, I only ended up there because Bakanda was a jerk and signed me up. [Though to be perfectly honest... he did sign the other up first.] My friend Lenalee had to bid to get me out of it.
[He paused for a moment.]
So... people complained about not being bid on. So they actually were looking for a date... That's kind of sad if that is the case. Must have been painful to go in with that hope only for no one to bite.
no subject
[She doesn't want to accept that fact, though, because it would mean her world was devoured by darkness, right? Otherwise why else would a different version of her be there? Suddenly she snaps her fingers.]
I know! Why don't you check on it at the Dream Docks? A lot of people use that to check up on their home worlds. Then you'd know for sure!
[She waves her hand.]
If they really wanted to go on a date, they could have bid on someone, even if they didn't get a bid themselves. One girl was mad because she didn't think she got a big enough bid, but she still got a date, so I guess it was an ego thing. I even gave one of them advice on how to make an interesting and exciting introduction, but she just gave the bare minimum of information so no one went for it.
[Minako sighs and rests her chin in her hand.]
One of these days they'll listen to my advice, but if they don't, there isn't anything I can do for them. Anyway, did you go on a date with this Lenalee person?
no subject
[That sounds more like going to sleep more than anything. Plus, he really was not sure if he wanted to check on his world for the reason of what happened when he left... and it had been months since then. People would be maaaaaaad.
He frowned however at the question.]
It was a friendly get together, but yes.
no subject
[Maybe he prefers guys. Tsk, what a waste!]
no subject
[And family is important to him.]
no subject
Then...what's your type? What kind of girl do you find romantically attractive?
[She sips at her drink, feigning nonchalance and casual interest.]
no subject
[He has never thought about this in his life. Honestly, he doesn't even notice when people like him. But he paused for a moment to actually think.]
I guess if I had to pick... I guess someone who's a good cook. I guess. I don't really think about that type of thing. But I do know I enjoy food, so it's the first thing I could think of. [Most helpful.]
no subject
That...that's not really so important, is it? I mean with all the good restaurants around, you could still find someone completely wonderful who maybe isn't all that good in the kitchen...eh heh heh...
no subject
[Meaning he puts other things before things like that. Mostly working and helping if he is able to.]
Is that weird or something?
no subject
[There's a pause instead for a few seconds before she looks back to the streets.]
...Not really. You were forced to fight and protect the people you care about. There's not really much room in your heart or head to consider dating in a time of crisis.
[She exhales a little. Maybe that means she missed an opportunity, but she has some personal experience with similar issues.]
Anyway, that might change now that you have a chance to stop and catch your breath for a while, and maybe have a shot at living a pretty normal life. It's up to you!
no subject
But she knew she was in part very accurate. He couldn't help but smile for a moment. He still wasn't sure that he would since he was sure he would keep wanting to fight if there was a chance, but at the same time he knew he couldn't always say never really.]
Depends on what you mean by normal? What I would consider normal might not be the same.
no subject
You'll figure it out for yourself in time. I think you'll like it.
[She smiles, and waves her hand.]
I'd better head back to the office. I'll see you around, Allen!
no subject
[As he said that Timcampy was flying and tugging on him slightly. Yep that was definitely a sign so Allen smiled and waved at her before going to gather his things, thinking about where he was planning on heading to next.]
[She empathizes with this SO much.]
[Allen couldn't look any happier even if he tried.]
[She takes a picture of her list, which comes complete with addresses and hours of operation. When you have a saiyan appetite, this kind of information is useful to keep track of.]
You should see my family's grocery bill.
[Because he knows around about how much he has to spend on eating alone. A whole family if they all have a huge appetite was enough to make him wonder how they weren't in debt.]
But thank you for the picture.
[And when in doubt, Bulla will visit an all you can eat buffet, because it's much cheaper than buying groceries.]
You're welcome. So...is your appetite because of powers, too?
Yeah. In my world those with the type of weapon I have use a lot more energy, so we eat more.
[It also shortens their lifespan, but that's a different matter.]
