Between all of the death, destruction, politics, competitions, and general lack of anything resembling a decent day of relaxation, I've decided that I'm going to host a party. Not a big one, not for any particular occasion, but it's just going to be a bunch of people coming together to have a good time, recover, and if any of you have anything you would like to add that falls under the category of relaxing and letting go of some stress, let me know so we can plan it out appropriately. A live band would be especially desired.

[ A paper copy of the invitations will be delivered to everyone's mailbox in a fashion that breaks no windows whatsoever and is probably quite refreshing. On the back of the paper copy are directions to the block between Oak & 8th and Nettle & 8th. ]

Locked to Team RWBY, JNPR, and Sun
As you may have noticed, there are currently two candidates for City Guardian. I wouldn't exactly endorse either of them, but one of them I do want to make sure each of you know something about. If it ever comes to fighting against her, and I'm not saying it will but if it does, don't use anything based in fire or electricity unless you want her to win.

I don't know that it'll come to that and don't tell her I said anything either. Professor Ozpin said not to judge either of them based on their pasts, so I'm not, but I'm just saying! If one of them tries to burn down the city, I'd rather we at least have how not to get killed straight away.

Also, I need to speak to each of you about your roles in my party.
[ Yes, she is entirely volunteering anyone in her team to help with this. ]

This looks like it could be some fun. But I'm wondering if there would be anyway we could have something like volleyball be a thing? It's a good way to relieve stress and is fun.

For live band.... Would singing birds count?

Question. Would it be okay to bring little kids? I mean she would be under my supervision, but I felt like I should double check?

This looks like fun and I think it's a great thing to do, especially after what happened. I think everyone needs that relaxation.

Don't worry about gathering a lot of kindling. I'll take care of the bonfire. I can keep it going for as long as you need it to.

It wouldn't. I can do it. I can't guarantee it'll be anything worthy of Ember Island's stages, but I can at least do a firebending demonstration. I'll bring my swords.

[ it'll be night, so he'll be drawing on his chi in the absence of the sun, but he'll be fine. even if he feels tired and spent at the end of it, he'll be recharged again once the sun rises. ]

Since it mentioned bringing ones own food, would sweet things like dessert be better?

[Mostly because she tends to microwave things for reasons. Though she is thinking of slowly doing some actual cooking.]

Oh, I'll make sure to look out for her since I know she's my responsibility.

[Being her future daughter and all, you know you need to be the adult.]

But would there be anything you'd like me to bring food wise that doesn't have to be cooked?

Yes, but I can train birds to tweet music. They rather enjoy it themselves and they give off a lovely tone.

I can show you now, if you're not busy. A couple of the firebending drills we're taught as kids are pretty artsy looking, and I can throw in some of the more complicated stuff for show.

I can get access to at least the balls and I'm sure could find a net somewhere if I look.

Garden Park? I just need to grab my swords first.

Plenty of time.

[ twenty-seven minutes later, zuko walks into one of the open areas of the park. his sheathed twin doa are in one hand, a strip of fabric he ripped from a piece of clothing that was burned beyond recognition in the attack to be anything more than scraps in the other. the swords laid down in the grass at his feet, and he holds that scrap of fabric between his teeth while he gathers hair up and back, twisting it into a top knot. he uses the cloth to secure it in place, showcasing for the first time since he got here just how much of his face is actually burned. the comet-shaped scar rises up into his hairline in jagged points, and there's barely anything left of that ear. it's a miracle he can hear out of it, honestly. ]

First rule of firebending: Don't set your own hair on fire.
