01: Emissary of the Daleks
[Action]
[A strange and macabre figure moves though the streets of Nova City, taking in the scenery of his new home. Seated in some kind of futuristic chair that glides along the ground without wheels of an kind, is the gaunt figure of what appears to be a man dressed all in black, with only one arm ending in a silver metallic hand. And the face!
The blacked lips, The sagging brown skin filled with deep scarlines, The dark sunken pools where eyes had once been replaced by the glowing blue light of the electronic eye in the middle of the forehead. It was to those who had the misfortune of encountering him, the impression of a mummified corpse of one who was horribly burned a thousand years ago, who should be dead yet was still kept alive by the technology wired to him.
The voice that comes from the man as he talks to himself is soft, intelligent and contemplative yet is filled with a harsh electronically distorted staccato that unnerves. ]
So this is a parallel universe... Absolutely fascinating. The technology levels here are most encouraging. Superior even to the conditions I had on Skaro. Yes, much is possible in a place like this... Much. But I will have to take up old methods in order to gain such possibilities. The mantle of The Great Healer again may need to be take up again.... Still no great undertaking has ever been accomplished with only minimum effort. Wait for me, my children...
[Have that horrid face gazing out from your screens in vivid detail, even as the voice that comes from it remains level and conversational.]
People of this most unusual world of Genessia, do not be alarmed by my appearance. My name is Davros, head of the Kaled Scientific Elite on the planet Skaro and it is my greatest desire to be of service to all of you if you will allow me that honor. I have solved wars and famines on a galactic scale in the past. Tell me of the pressing issues that you face in this reality not our own and I will overcome them in a matter of weeks. Give me a laboratory to conduct my research in and I shall create for you technological marvels of which would be the envy of most stellar civilizations. Yes, I can raise you all to the heights of greatness itself. All I ask is that you extend a hand of friendship to one who has lost much, including half of his body and his people...

video
That's a big package you're selling. What were your magical solutions to those galactic problems, if you don't mind me asking?

[She TOTALLY remembers you Davros. Well, how could she forget?]
You can't have a lab though. And no experimenting on people either. [alskdjalskdjas Well, the Doctor experiments on people -- no no no, it's not the same, right?]
Also you can't claim to solve wars and famines when your idea of that is unmaking reality.
[Action for Rose]
Rose... Thar's three of me here. Please - don't start a witch hunt. Alright?

[Any softness in the electronic voice fades into grave seriousness and the wrinkled features seem to harden upon the slight on her on his screen.]
If you are, then I suppose that the Doctor can't be far behind. Tell me, is it hospitality to immediately smear an old man who wishes only to grant the fruits of his knowledge in aid of others in the twilight of his life? Is it kindness to call up a mob to attack an invalid? Ask for bring up the past... What should I tell of the numerous crimes of the Time Lords against the whole of creation?
Should the people here know of the Doctor's bloody deeds as the Oncoming Storm and Destroyer of Worlds?

[In other words, he's heard things like that before and has a definite distrust for them, but then again, what do you expect from someone who grew up in politics and had to deal with corruption regularly.]
Re: [Video]
[He is not one to argue the point. Words and promises can indeed be hollow and cheap.]
Re: [Video]
[video];
That's really fucked up. I'm just fine, thanks.
Re: [video];
[The sensors built into his electronic eye can pick up the sighs however slight.]
That said - for the moment. Ten is going to play dumb to see if he can sniff when you are]
I'm so glad a great and powerful leader have finally arrived at this place. We were in need of one of those.
Re: [Video]
[There is only the fainest sarcasm. Since Miss Taylor had show herself to him, Davros has already expecting a call from his greatest enemy sooner or later. Still he keeps the fury at having plans for this world now made infinitely more difficult from erupt out in a Dalek-like manner suppressed deep.]
And just what do the citizens here know of the Time Lords? Because I'd be happy to enlighten them on the subject matter.
[That answer that question for Ten. The game is already up.]

I'm intrigued by your offer. You want a lab? I'll take you up on those technological marvels.
[Her big red lips stretch into a wide smile, wrinkled brow furrowing as her yellow eyes narrow.]
Mother Brain welcomes you to Genessia with open tentacles!
Re: [Video - Locked]
A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Mother Brain. I will humbly accept you as my first patron. Where shall I meet you to discuss these matter more closely?

[Action]
Hallo.
[There's also sympathetically in his voice]
I don't suppose you'd mind if you could tell me how you ended up like this.
Re: [Action]
Chemical bombardment of my laboratory by the Thals. Only this chair I created keeps me alive.
[He will say no more on the subject.]
Re: [Action]

What a generous offer. Tell me, what solutions have you used to solve the wars and famines of the past? They must have been magnificently planned to do so much.
no subject
They were. I created an army that always wins decisively and humanely. And I found ways to process organic matter past its prime into new and healthy produce. Everything I plan must have that level of detail and care put into it.

[It's with a cool, dry smile that the Doctor comes on camera, eyes narrowed with a penetrating gaze. He figures odds are good that Davros knows who he is thanks to the Daleks--or failing that, that he'd work it out quickly anyway--but it's worth playing the game, anyway. If nothing else, it'll be worth seeing Davros surprised.]
Not always that interested in the heights of greatness, mind you, not always their top priority, depends on what it'd cost them. 'course, you do know something about paying a high price, I s'pose, don't you, loss of your people and all. Shame about that, love to hear how it happened, got a bit of an int'rest in history, you could say.
Re: [video]
[The incarnation of the Doctor that he missed due to having to heal from the damage caused the debacle at the Crucible in the care of the New Paradigm Daleks. There had been a reason for his being on death's door when Twelve confronts beyond it being a trap after all]
Perhaps if you are willing to share the history of the Time War with the public, I might...

Can you build me a floating house, mister? Then I won't have to pay rent because it's not on any land.
Re: [Video]
And just what would you use it for, my boy besides saving money?
[He might as well humor the lad.]

[Kii did not hold back, rude, but they clear their throat]
There we go. Got that out. You said that you solved famines, and solved wars? Can you tell all of us-actually---
no. Just me.
How the flying hell can I get out of here? Solve that and maybe we can be...acquaintances.
Re: [Video]
Breakthroughs are not made in a day. You will have to give me time on that query.
Re: [Video]
video (and super late)
Looking just like a cryptid as usual. What are you doing with yourself these days?
