ATTLETON ACADEMIES
With the start of school quickly approaching and a fresh new classroom to furnish, Theodora once again will find herself in her classroom, balancing precariously atop desks and flitting about the room with arms laden with colorful decorations as she does her best to prepare the space for students. She’s worked hard the last few weeks, pouring over curriculum and studying the materials intended for her kiddos. It’s nothing too much, but she’s fascinated by the way some of it is compiled. Colors, shapes, numbers… Everything her little kindergarteners will need to know in the upcoming year.

DOWNTOWN MARKET/CAFE (ATTLETON)
When she’s not working on her classroom inside the school, Theodora can be found enjoying a nice muffin and a drink outside of one of the cafes featured in Attleton’s Downtown Market, pouring over either a small stack of children’s books she’s somehow procured from the school library or local home listings.

When she’s not reading silly rhymes and fairytales in her downtime, she can be caught exploring the area, picking up things here and there, be they for dinner that evening or small gifts for Zaveid or Libra.

HOUSE HUNTING (ATTLETON)
While her best friend’s hospitality toward her and Zaveid is more than she could ever ask for, she can’t help but feel a little guilty about taking up so much of his space and disturbing his routines… She had grown so happily accustomed to her own little home, and now seemed to be a fairly safe opportunity to search for another one.

So don’t mind her if the breeze suddenly picks up a little in one of the neighborhoods and she steps out of it from nowhere. She’s just exploring the area. It seems safe enough, and there aren’t mountains looming overhead to remind them all of… that. The calm might do them all some good…

SINGING MEADOWS (FAYREN)
Despite the demanding presence of the mountains in the distance, Theodora can’t help but wander back to Fayren when she catches wind of the Singing Meadows. Her natural curiosity has her wandering that way, and her delight in the sounds her winds can make over the reeds when she arrives has her there for what feels like hours, toying with the breeze and contentedly relaxing at the center of the field. It’s gentle, the ‘song’ she’s weaving, nothing like the vicious tornado her dragon-self had brought upon the mountains so many weeks ago. Much more fitting for the sweet Wind Seraph. Her mind may be elsewhere and her gaze distant, but at least it’s peaceful.

NOVA CITY
…She’s probably never looked so confused in her life. Her eyes are wide and bright as she takes everything in and wanders through the city, map in hand and…not at all useful, it seems. She’s much too distracted by the flying cars and metal people that seem to be so common, startled even, when she realizes she’s moving without walking or falling into the wind. Moving sidewalks?? Why???

She does have to laugh to herself, though. How on earth does Zaveid work here?

EVERYWHERE ELSE
Theodora is a wind seraph, so it's not too strange for her to travel by wind. Don't be too alarmed if it's just breezy and suddenly a tall silver haired woman appears! She's very friendly, especially toward kids, and didn't mean to startle you!

[Now that Hana knew about the mountains, she was exploring such territory with little free time she had and in between her job of gathering things. Flying in her own dragon form, she caught a strong wind-like sniff.

Gasping, the white feathered dragon followed it quickly until reaching the meadows. Hana told herself to at least before falling head-first into another dragon with her nose. That was no way to greet another no matter what! So she looked down and..

...a person? No..! Wait. They could disguise themselves too?? This might be..! She might be from home..!

While pondering this, anyone could see a dragon hovering over them. That's kind of spooky and awkward there, Hana. She was just so excited and cautious and excited..!]

[Sayaka was definitely enjoying her day off, but she was thinking about also doing another job? Who knows. Lifeguarding was great and all, but she wanted to do something more fun! Not just sit around and do nothing!

Glancing over, she spotted how lost this girl was, smiled, and approached]

Hey, there, you doing alright, miss? Need some help?

[please, Sayaka did not want to admit or show she was bored]

These days, Noah had been keeping to herself for a bit, watching over the few rabbits that had come under her care. But realizing that she was still restless, the bunny girl sought to explore a bit more of her world, starting with the singing meadows. It wasn't too far from her home base.

When she came to the meadows, however, she saw nothing but empty expanse. A field, sure, but nothing but the plants and the wind and the earth. Noah felt it was alright, but...

One of her bunny ears twitched as she heard a faint melody. Was it the meadows themselves singing? Kinda cheesy, but...

...most of all, the wind was awfully persistent, if gentle. She could tell its source was more magical, more focused than something from the earth. Noah closed her eyes. "Nice melody. Care to show yourself?"

[Ted was milling around the central hub of the world, engaged on another Beacon odd job. This one was finding a lost cat for a particularly wealthy noble. Ted had no real hope of finding it, but it was a nice excuse to wander about like he always does.

He was, unfortunately, very startled indeed to see a woman materialize out of literally thin air. Not the first time Genessia pulled something, or someone, like this, but it's still very shocking.

Give him a few seconds.]

Er, ah, heh, hello, Ms! Good morning. How are...things?

[Azure had chosen a somewhat abandoned place, cobblestones beneath her feet as she didn't want to catch anything on fire accidentally while she practiced. She started with her sword, doing what appeared to be a slow dance as she moved into different sets before fire flickered around her. Dancing around her sword and body and she pushed and reigned in her magic to do different effects. While practicing it wasn't hard to tell that the wind had picked up, pausing mid-move to see what was going on as spirits whispered excitedly around her.]

Who's here? You seem to bring some excitement with you.

[Theodora is too distracted at first to notice the dragon's approach, focused solely on the sounds of her winds moving through the reeds. She was no musician, but it was somehow fascinating, and it was so pretty to listen to...

When Hana appears over her head, though, she leaps back with a gasp and a suddenly very pale, very scared face as she loses her footing and falls back. Of course she'd be caught with one alone, and a full on dragon at that! She hadn't really been planning on fighting anything today....]

[Theodora's pulled from her wide-eyed wonder at the sound of the girl's voice, though it takes her a moment to realize that it's herself that's being spoken to. With a bright (albeit still somewhat bewildered) smile, the woman turns to her and laughs softly.]

Oh, I'm sure I look terribly lost.... [she muses aloud, shaking her head.] I'm just exploring really, but this city... it's just so different from home and the other cities in this world!

There's a soft laugh that carried on the wind when the girl called her out, and in the next moment, Theodora appeared, stepping out of the wind nearby and letting her breezes wander freely instead.

"Hello there," she laughed, pushing her hair back to fix it from it's breezy mess.

[Oh!

She blinks at him, almost as startled to see him startled as he seems startled, then offers a somewhat shy smile as she makes her way a little closer for conversation.]

Hello... Things are good, I think! Just exploring the cities. Did I frighten you?

[While Theodora had been exploring and lazily taking in her surroundings as she moved along on the breeze, she stops immediately at the feeling of the fire at its edges and takes her human form, pulling her winds a bit closer to herself as she watches.

She's absolutely mesmerized by the girl's control, both over her movements and the flames that dance about her. When she's finally called out, however, she peeks more properly around the corner and gives a little wave, her breezes free to move about once the fire has gone.]

I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. It's just been a while since I've seen someone control fire like that, [she explains with a sheepish smile, pulling her fluffy mess of hair back and over her shoulder.]

[Sheathing her sword, she gave the woman a smile and bowed her head in greeting.]

It's hardly an interruption and more of an honor. Thank you for the complement.

[She motioned to the space between them with her hand in invitation.

If you like, I can keep practicing or you can join me. I'd love to see what you're capable of.

Noah stared. She really did embody the wind... not unlike a certain girl back at home, except far more noticeable.

"Hello yourself." Noah greeted back. "You sound familiar. Have we talked before?" She was sure that was the case, but just wanted to be sure.

Eheh, startled, certainly. Really took the wind out of my sails.

[badumpsh!]

Well, I'm Ted. What's your name? And how'd you manage a trick like that, eh?

She laughed again, this time raising her fingers to her chin. "I believe we talked the evening I arrived. I'm Theodora," she offered, as gentle as can be.

Is it? Ah, glad you're exploring it then, there's plenty to find out here.

[pauses and holds her tongue]

...What kind of world are you used to? I'll first ask that before I spoil haha!

O-oh! Oh no, are you okay? I'm sorry if I scared you, oh dear..!

[Hana exclaimed with a gasp. She landed to the ground lightly, turned into her human self, and rushed to help the other]

It's just-you smelled like my kind, I was really excited, but if you're not, it's okay, just..aaah...be okay..

[she fretted, holding a hand out towards the other in concern]

"Noah." She introduced herself, short and to the point. "I guess you're not bad for a wind user." That was also the best compliment she could give to a relative stranger that she only met once.

She had no interest in showing off though, so she continued. "What brings you out here?"

[She blinks, still tense as she keeps control on her winds about her... but then relaxes into full confusion instead as the dragon transforms into a human. It takes a moment or two, but she does accept the help back to her feet.]

Ah, no no, I'm fine.... You just took me by surprise, [she admits a little breathlessly, still staring at the woman in shock.] Dragons in my world don't um... usually regain their usual selves.

Well, I wouldn't want the day to go to waste, and everything here is so...wonderfully different. Exploring like this isn't an opportunity that I would have had back home.

[Granted... considering the timeline that's been explained to her... she didn't have much time for opportunity left back home.

She smiles delicately and looks back toward the way she came.]

Fayren, I believe, is the closest to what home was like. This... technology is entirely foreign.

[Hana took in a sigh of relief] Okay good..

[just to make sure, she did look at the other, no scratches or anything, until perking up]

Hm? They..don't? Ah-then..perhaps you're not from my world. ...But! That's okay! You're a dragon too, and that's marvelous! Wonderful to meet you, I'm Hana~

Ooooooh, yeah no I can see that. This place is a lot considering if your home is like Fayren.

[Looking around, she looked at all the stores] So I can gather that stores aren't familiar to you...what were you good at at home? Or I can show you to everything you want and let you ask all the questions.

[She laughs sheepishly and pushes back the big fluff of curly hair behind her ear.]/small>

Ah... well. Sort of. I was just turned back not long ago. [She smiles brightly and offers her hand for a shake.] I'm Theodora. It's a pleasure to meet you, Hana!

So... are you a dragon always?

[Ah, yes, now she's a little more sheepish, but it's always amusing the way humans react. The ones that can see her, anyway.

Her grin brightens at the joke. She's always been fond of punny things.]

I'm Theodora. It's nice to meet you, Ted, [she smiles, offering her hand for a shake. She's rather cool to the touch... obviously not human.] I'm a wind... seraph. [The last word is still odd to her, but 'malak' seems to be out of fashion these days, or at least, so she's been told.]

She nods, then raises a brow. "I take it you've met a few you didn't get along with, then?" Oops. She's second-handedly embarrassed on behalf of her other wind-users.

"Just enjoying the breezes, really... It's so nice out here."

[Oh good, she doesn't seem upset! Theodora relaxes a little and accepts the handshake with a smile. Her hand, oddly enough, is cool to the touch. She's definitely not human.]

You're very welcome. I've met quite a few fire malaks in my day, but I don't believe I've met one that uses a sword to guide it.

[She becomes a little more sheepish at the offer, though.] Oh, I'd love to keep watching, but I'm afraid fire and I don't mesh very well. My winds wouldn't stand a chance. [...maybe she's being a little too modest.]

"Hm."

Noah looked out into the distance. Though her sense of feeling was limited, she could still at least 'sense' the wind. It's perhaps a bit sad that if she wants to experience something like a living person would, she still has to expend mana to do so.

"So... do you live nearby?" Noah's not quite the best at conversation, not like she used to be.

[ooc: it's fine for your average gettin' to know ya. ;D]

Theodora! Now that's a familiar name.

[Since his own is, y'know, short for Theodore.]

And a seraph too? Goodness, wonders never cease. How'd you get a break from cycling the throne and singing "Holy, holy, holy"?

[Just to see if she's that kind of seraph.]

[Oooh! A handshake! Okay, Hana had been practicing this..aaand..!

..She clasped Theo's hand in both of Hana's two hands to cover both sides for optimum handshake. She overachieved..!]

You too Theodora~ -And yes. I just can turn into a human and many other things too! But at the core, I will always be a Draconic. Aah..I need to practice turning into other things though..we have a talent of disguise just like the Foxes.

[Hana was curious though]

..Just turned back..?

[She giggles softly at Hana's enthusiasm, clasping both hands in return.] So you're truly a shapeshifter, but with dragons blood? [She's not entirely sure she's getting it straight. Either way-] What an amazing power!

Oh, well...It's more of a curse than a talent, in my world, I'm afraid [she explained sheepishly.] We don't really have much control over it when it starts.

[She grins widely.] I take it 'Ted' is short for Theodore? [It's not too uncommon a name, thankfully, even from her world. She's met odder named people in her short time here.

His question confuses her, though, and it shows clearly in her face.] I'm sorry... I think you might have me confused with another type of 'Seraph', though I'm not entirely sure what else has come of the phrase since my time... Originally, we were called 'Malaks'. [A shrug. It's been a few thousand years in her world since her death.] And I'm not the only one around. [That sets a little smile to her lips.]

[Conversely, Ted blushes slightly. The full version is a bit theatrical and embarrassing for him.]

Aheh, yes, you've figured it exactly.

[Thank goodness for the change of topic. He composes himself in record time.]

Huh. Does "Malak" mean something in particular, in your tongue? Who's the other?

[Hana shook her head] All Dragon~ At..least for my kind. That is strange you cannot Huh..

[She gazed at the other curiously] That's no good it's a curse. Is there a way to stop such a curse? It must hurt, and that's not safe...

[Azure nodded and smiled.]

As you wish, though, usually my embers get blown out when I am against those who use the element of wind.

[With a sheepish smile, the woman started her steps from the beginning, presenting her arms before slowly swinging her sword downwards with a trail of flames flickering in an arc behind the tip and blade.]
