[video/action] ~ 1 ~
[At first, there's a flicker of an image of a young man's face, chin propped against his fist from an angle below him, an image blotted out by his fingertip coming down on the medallion as he drums it. Otherwise, the silver-haired youth seems to be concentrating on something else--or reading.
It doesn't take him long to notice this idle gesture has done the solving for him, as far as figuring out how to activate the video function is concerned.]
--Easier than I thought.
[Climbing to his feet, the video catches a glimpse of how his rumpled jeans are still damp to the knees, before the sight is obliterated by presumably the palm of his hand as he retrieves it.
A moment later has him peering down into it with interest. He waves a rolled-up pamphlet near shoulder-height a moment as he says:]
Can anyone believe this stuff? Says here a guy named Dresden wrote it.
[Would it kill you to introduce yourself, Riku? Really? Must still be groggy.]
[ooc: Threads can be action if you want to run into Riku around Genessia City.]

[She pauses nervously. Her voice still soft and sweet but it slowly gains strength as she continues.]
Sorry again about before... but... I really like your hair.
[Is that something that people say? It sounds alright to Terra but she is never sure.]
no subject
There should be a rule somewhere against calling a guy's name 'pretty'.
And remarking on their hair WHY--]
So anyway-- [QUICK, CHANGE THE SUBJECT] Do you have any friends here? Someone you don't know who seems to recognize you?
no subject
Yes but I don't see him often... [and he's scary. Her tone shifts from it's sweet tone to a nervous one. All of her feelings are unsure about her uncle and the war that has taken her home but all she has is her own unsure feelings. It isn't enough to dispute the facts presented to her.]

[He's not exactly gifted with the sort of perceptive intuition of a certain red-haired best friend, but he's certainly more keen than the brown-haired one, and it helps that Terra is something of an open book, it seems.]
no subject
[Terra is an open book but she doesn't realize it or seem to mind. She fears the secrets she can't remember.]
It's just a weird feeling... [Her Uncle, a man who feels like darkness and evil, but Terra has no bases of comparison. She shakes her head and looks up at Riku.]
I'm sorry for disturbing you.

[Granted, their islands were small, and the population minute compared with the worlds he's seen, but he hadn't known anyone there who didn't get along with their uncle.
Of course, he's also been to worlds where those close relatives could also be a person's darkest influence in their lives...]
Hey, it's nothing. Do you think this uncle of yours poses a threat? If not, then don't sweat it. Trust your instincts. If they tell you to keep away, I'd listen to your heart.

[The idea sounds like it would work but she doesn't even know what her own heart is telling her. Her hand moves tentatively to her chest and her confusion is evident on her features.
Isn't there a way you were suppose to feel? A way that Terra doesn't?
Her mind turns over the ideas carefully as she looks up at Riku. Her green eyes shining with hope.]
no subject
[Here, he thumps a fist to his chest, nodding affirmatively.]
That little voice inside.
[There's something about that sentiment in her eyes that makes Riku feel less foolish about the unwarranted pep talk, a little warm in that way that maybe, just maybe, helping someone a little bit does.]

I will. Thank you.
