Because right in the middle of the hall is a girl with brightly colored hair having herself a nice hot cup of tea. Instead of saving up her money she apparently decided that buying a teapot and a matching cup was far more important to her. Anyone who comes near her, she tips her hat off to them with a bright smile. ]

[ After realizing that she not only "fell down" the wrong rabbit hole and ended up in this place, and realizing that getting back home wasn't going to be simple... at all, instead of getting upset about it all and causing a fuss, Maddie was all for exploring the city. To get a better look at the world and all the people who live here, what better way was there than to get a new view!

I had a really good one I bought at a yard sale for twenty cents, but I lost it and haven't been able to find a copy since. I read it so much, it was falling to pieces.

I can't think of anything better to spend your money on than a good book of riddles!... except maybe a good cup of tea to go along with.

I may have to agree with you there. I like tea more than coffee. It's not as intense and harsh a flavor, you know?

[ She scrunches her face at the mention of coffee. She was raised on tea, so coffee was just out of the question! ]

That's right! And you can get any sort of flavor in a tea as long as you think it up!

What's your favorite flavor of tea?

That's a difficult question. I suppose it depends on my mood and the time of day! Right now I think I'm feeling on the fruitier side of teas.

Those are good for iced teas. For something warm, I lean towards Earl Grey or something floral.

Do you know if there are any tea shops in the city?

I have no idea. I only just got here a couple weeks ago, jumped right into finding a job. I should probably give myself more time to explore the place, huh?
