[ Action; Genessia Commonspace Hallways ]

[ Sorry were you expecting a normal trip back to your room or perhaps your friend's room? Because right in the middle of the hall is a girl with brightly colored hair having herself a nice hot cup of tea. Instead of saving up her money she apparently decided that buying a teapot and a matching cup was far more important to her. Anyone who comes near her, she tips her hat off to them with a bright smile. ]

Would you like a cup of tea~?

[ Action; Genessia City ]

[ After realizing that she not only "fell down" the wrong rabbit hole and ended up in this place, and realizing that getting back home wasn't going to be simple... at all, instead of getting upset about it all and causing a fuss, Maddie was all for exploring the city. To get a better look at the world and all the people who live here, what better way was there than to get a new view!

The world would look a lot different upside down, which was why Maddie decided to roam around walking on her hands.

A moment of time if you will~ I have an important question that just needs answering!

[ She clears her throat a little. ]

Why did the teapot wear a cozy?

[ Yep, extremely important. ]

Yeah. Same as everyone else then. Welcome to being stuck here. Unless whatever force brought us here gets bored and then poof; right back you go.
watcheddog: (You were saying?)

It has its moments.

I like it better than my homeworld. But then, i didn't really like my homeworld.

[Waves a hand.] I'm not used to enjoying much outside of work.

You liked your home though?

And you find that... good?

[Well, he can't judge TOO much. He wanted to find ToonTown as a kid so...] Have you met Cheshire here yet?

I guess.

Okay. Not that you'd automatically know each other. You might not even be from the same Wonderland.
watcheddog: (What do you want?)

[Shrugs.] I'm just as glad to be the only San Franciscan here. From any time period really.

San Francisco. It's a city. In the state of California. In the country of the United States, on planet Earth, 2014.

[He is NEVER going to figure out how to describe it. Until here... everyone already KNEW. Or thought they knew. Or had enough of their own impression they didn't care about his.]

It's on the ocean. San Francisco Bay. The Golden Gate bridge is its famous landmark, all the world knows of it, even though it's red and rusty, not gold.

They try too hard to keep it historical, so the rents' too high, and it creates an overflow into Oakland which is famous for not having enough cops. Mostly because San Francisco itself started off as a scenic nothing town, but got quickly overpopulated and turned into a city pretty much overnight during a gold rush.

It's... bigger than what you're used to, I expect.

It's not quite a million people, unless you count Oakland, and then it is. All crammed into area roughly the size of Genessia, the one city of five here. If you go to Nova, it's not that severe. And 2014 is before robo-police outside of fiction in my world, but it's still pretty loud. I've been living in a lot smaller and quieter places for the last few years, and I still can't get used to it. My daughter couldn't get over how small the last place I was before here; Gracepoint was in comparison.

No magic. Some tea shops, but it's America, everyone drinks coffee, not tea.

Hah. Not a fan?

As far as I can tell, it's coffee here too, so good luck with that.

Maybe the British. Or Japanese. There's a lot of them around here for some reason.
