[Action] Don't diss the hair

[He did it! Takumi finally did it!

No, he didn't chill the hell out. Stop asking.

Takumi finally made it to Nova City! At long last, he can finally explore this futuristic city of the future, find the Holodeck and hopefully not make a complete mess of it with his shenanigans.

The younger Hoshidan Prince was awestruck as he looked around himself as he made his way through the city. The lights, the sounds, the flying cars and metal people. One may say he is experiencing culture shock.

However, evebtually something had to go wrong, because why not? One misstep and Takumi bumped into another fellow hard enough to cause enough discomfort to illicite a reaction.]

I-Apologies. I didn't mean to-

Why don't you learn how to walk, Pineapple-Head?

[And that did it. Takumi narrowed his eyes at the man.]

Excuse me? Care to repeat that?

I said your hair looks like a pineapple. Now why don't you get your tooty-fruity cupcake ass out of the way?

I tried to apologize, should I teach you some manners instead?

[Other pedestrians scurry out of the way as the two get ready for a throw down. Who will throw the first punch?! They both seem to be winding up for one. Someone stop them! Preferably Takumi since he still has Fujin Yumi on him.]

[You know who'd be great at breaking up potential brawls? The guy in charge of the security of the city.

Who just seems to drop down from the sky out of no where (thanks to the handy jet pack on his back) and lands to the side of the two men, slamming one heel on the ground so it made an echoing "CLACK" as he held his hands up behind his head and clapping twice.

... needless to say, he was making damn sure all the attention was on him.]

Now now, boys. This isn't a brawl waiting to happen in the streets of Nova City, now is it?

[He asks with a smile on his face, but those last two words seemed to be laced with a warning.]

[Aaaaaaand that came just at the perfect moment. Well, almost. The interruption made Takumi miss, but so did the other guy.]

Huff! No, sir. Just some ruffian in need to learn his place!

[Takumi turns his attention to Gale as he adjusts Fujin Yumi under his arm. That not!brawl made it slip some.]

It doesn't! All right? That's just the way my hair looks.

Both of you shut your mouths or I'll shut them for you.

[That's not a threat you want from a guy like Gale.]

Now why don't you two take a step away from each other and tell me how this started. Or will I have to drag you both to the Skyrise and write you up?

[It was a tense stand off before they both backed off from each other.

Takumi raised a hand to gesture to the other man when he started talking first, cutting Takumi off.]

This moron was stumbling around like a bumbling idiot when he walked into me!

That was an accident and I tried to apologize! Then he started insulting how my hair looks.

[Gale didn't even try to hide that eyeroll.]

... you're kiddin' me. That's it?

[He sighs dramatically before pointing at the man.]

You need to chill out and actually listen when you get an apology. It's a minor thing that you took too personally. Or maybe, y'know, walk around someone who isn't paying attention.

[He twirls on his heel in a flourish and points at Takumi then.]

And you need to get some thicker skin if you're that riled up over a comment about your hair. It's also not your place to "teach" anyone "manners" without showin' 'em yourself in all situations.

[He folds his arms and taps his foot.]

Now either you two chill the hell out, leave each other alone and go on with your lives, or you can test my patience by yelling at each other like two-year-olds. Which'll be, boys?

[The temptation to just send the punk flying with a shot from Fujin Yumi is tempting. But Takumi also doesn't feel like figuring out how a man fights in heels.]

...I'll be on my way if you point me in the right direction of a place called "Holodeck."

[The other guy clicked his tongue in annoyance before turning around and walking away. Not without dropping one last comment though.]

Damn tourists.

[Smart move to keep that bow lowered, Takumi. And the answer to how a man fights in heels is "very well."

When the other man walks away, Gale casually flips his middle figure before resting his hands on his hips and looks at Takumi. Christ, how old were these two man-children?]

Sayin' "please" works wonders on makin' friends, y'know.

[Be careful, Takumi. You're the right kind of person that Gale would take a liking to trolling the shit out of. In fact, the thought is already crossing his mind.]

You're a bit off in the direction, but it's a few blocks away.

[He brings up his device, getting the directions up and starts talking without looking at Takumi.]

Takumi, yeah? [Yeah, he remembers your name from before, buster. He doesn't wait for an answer before he sends the directions straight to the other man's device before pocketing his own again.] The directions are on your device. Follow 'em and you'll be there.

[Hands back on his hips and he leans forward towards Takumi. Probably... a little too close.]

Now what do we say~?

[Right, the device. The Prince still has some trouble with it, but following along with Gale's use of it was enough for him to get a proper map of the city. Yeah, this will help.

But now Takumi just slooooowly leans back away when Gale leans in.]

[See Gale? Takumi can be polite.]

[Marco is so used to being the only Pineapple Prince he reflexively kicks the complainer.]

[Well! That was something. The belligerent punk goes staggering away only to fall flat and dazed in the street. It was enough even for Takumi to stop his throws midflight and reflect on what he just saw.]

...What was that? Some sort of war cry?

[Not even a 'thank you' from Takumi?]

[Why would Marco get thanked? He was standing up for his Prince Pineapple hair!!!]

[He doesn't even fully remember it anymore, something he gave up for his Pops' home island. He remembers that Zou might need to find him and he had to stay looking like a pineapple, and told Grell as much, but why....]

[Moving on. The guy over there is probably not fit to punch anymore now.]

[Looks around and shrugs, holding up his anklet to which he put his pendant on.] I'm a free bird. I wander.

Nova City, apparently. Though I'm settling in Fayren, currently. I'm here looking for a place called "Holodeck."

"Ohhhhh yeah, aye. I know where that is... just... gimme a bit to make sure where in Nova we are."

He held up a hand...

And then turned into a fiery blue bird and soared up into the sky sending sparkles raining down on Takumi.

Yeah, that just happened.

[ PREDICTABLE. There's a reason Kaze hasn't strayed all that far from the young Hoshidan prince since his arrival. He might not be his retainer, but Hinata and Oboro aren't here and he's trying to pick up the slack in their stead. They might not be super close - but anyone even remotely familiar with the royal family knows Takumi's temperament.

Tl;dr Kaze is neurotic and his gut instinct said to follow Takumi so here we are. When the back and forth between the prince and random insulting citizen escalates, Kaze jumps directly between them; a hand out to catch ~~THESE HANDS~~ the other man's fist before it can connect with Takumi's face. Whether or not the prince stops is really on him at this point, and Kaze will take whatever punch may or may not come. ]

[Whoops! Takumi noticed just a smidgeon too late as his fist, however his best reflex was, grazed against Kaze. Sure to leave a scratch or friction burn.

When Takumi recovered from reeling at this sudden ninja poof, he seems...just mildly kind of offended and annoyed.]

Kaze? Did Ryoma send you to watch over me?

[The punk is not sure why he can't get his fist out of Kaze's grip now.]

[ If Kaze feels it, he makes no indication as he holds steadfast in his position between Takumi and his aggressor. ]

[ he answers with a casual look over his shoulder, expression apologetic; mostly ignoring the man in front of him as he holds a firm grip on his closed fist. Yeah, super weird how he can't pull back, huh? He turns back to the punk after a moment. ]

You would do well not to speak unkindly, nor think to lay your hands on my lord ever again. [ He pushes the man away now, standing still otherwise unless Takumi really wants him to move, or the man is dumb enough to make another move. ] Are you alright, Lord Takumi?

[The man wasn't disciplined enough to not fall. Not only does he fall, he rolls backwards. He's getting ready to get the hell out of Dodge now.]

I'm unhurt, not like I couldn't have taken him.
Since you're here, Kaze, have you anything new to report?

[Yes, right here in public, Takumi. Just talk about all the juicy details that everyone already probably knows.]

[ Embarrassing. Kaze figures he doesn't need to worry about that anymore and turns to face Takumi properly, shaking his head slowly. ]

Nothing that would garner your interest, my lord. I do have to admit that those leads on your sisters were likely unfounded, however. I have not seen near heard from either of them.

[That is a disappointment.]

Damn... Well, if the Nohrians' claim are true, then surely they're safe... All things considered.

[That being Hinoka defeated and likely a prisoner, and Sakura a confirmed prisoner as of Takumi's timeline.]

Accompany me awhile longer, Kaze. We'll find this "Holodeck" place. If it is as magnificent as I hear, then it could be something we all can use.

[Winry had been considering a few things and going to Nova City was one way of helping her make a choice. However, the young woman did stop long enough to notice a small crowd.

Curious to know why Winry started to move through the crowd only to notice the potential fight.

She couldn't help but sigh slightly.]

[Nice timing! The two suddenly stopped when they heard a woman's voice. Rather than try to play it cool, they both faced her and pointed at each other and spoke in perfect unison like a couple of bickering children.]

[Winry couldn't help but frown slightly, giving off a slight sigh of annoyance. Well it was better her dealing with this than someone who might use violence to deal with it. Unless she got a little too annoyed, then it would be a case of hitting people around the head.

Let's start with this. What happened just before the argument?

[Before Takumi could get a word out, the other guy bumps him out of the way to cut him off.]

It was an ACCIDENT! I miss-stepped on this magic moving ground and then bumped into him.

Then it was an accident. Nothing to really argue about. [She folded her arms.]

So long as a sorry is said now from both sides because it was an accident and I think he is sorry about it. You can just accept it or not and move on. [She paused, but she wasn't happy. her attention on the other. takumi seemed pretty much off the hook.] But you also didn't need to be a jerk about it by name calling and don't think I didn't notice that bumping him out of the way mister. So you definitely need to say you're sorry.

He doesn't like even really look like a pineapple, though. Are you like blind or something? Like how many pineapples with a long tail have you like ever seen?

[This pedestrian isn't going to scurry out of the way, instead she's actually going to walk to stand in the middle of the two. Making sure that her officer badge is visible for both.]

Now, like I know this badge is from the Everglade PD, so technically I can't like arrest you guys if you like decide to try to brawl it away. But I sure can do it if I like drag your asses through the portal and arrest you there.

So how about you just like go on with your days and this way like no one will have trouble?

[Elise decided that she couldn't resist her curiosity about Nova City any longer. She's been slowly exploring all the other cities, but but off the futuristic city because she a bit nervous about getting in over her head.]

[She brought along her staff, even though she didn't think she would need to heal anyone. It made her more comfortable to have it nearby. Which was good, because she was incredibly out of her depth here. There was just. So. Much.]

[She was playing with a magic moving sidewalk when she saw Takumi and someone else looking like they were about to fight. That wouldn't do at all! She hopped off the sidewalk and ran over to them. She held her staff in between them to act as a barrier and gave her best stern look (probably falling short of her goal) at both of them.]

Alright boys, time out! You don't need to fight here. Someone could get hurt. Now. Do either of you want to talk it out first or can we be friends right away?

[The last thing they expected as a staff appearing right in front of them. The source being Nohr's youngest princess.

The short-tempered punk ~~not Takumi~~ took a step back, but Takumi only glanced once at Elise before back to the other.]

[No hesitation at all. Takumi weaved past Elise's staff and gave the guy his best kick to the gut.]

[That's done. Takumi adjusted Fujin Yumi as he turned to Elise again.]

Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your siblings?

[Elise gasped when her staff barrier didn't work. Who would've thought?]

Hey! Didn't I just say not to fight?

[At the question Elise puffed out her cheeks.]

I can go places without my siblings, I'm not a kid!

Besides, I was curious what Nova was like. It's pretty cool, isn't it? The sidewalks are magic!

It looks like the punk is down for the count. Takumi managed to get him pretty good. With a annoyed sigh, he lets it go.]

Hoshido, a fertile land blessed with fair, sunny weather, resulting in plentiful food supplies. So much so that there is more than enough food from crop harvests to feed the combined populations of both Hoshido and Nohr. This bounty means almost no one in Hoshido wants for anything, and crime is rare.

Along with cherry blossom trees decorating the country... I may be a little biased to call it a paradise.

[A pause for a moment to think about his siblings.]

And Ryoma, tall and just. He's just as calm as he steadfast. Much like the tallest mountain or the sturdiest tree. And Hinoka, ever the tomboy she is. She's always been more comfortable flying through the skies than being in court. Then there's Sakura. She's very shy, but can be very stubborn when she decides on something. She has a surprising amount of strength hiding away.

That...It sounds like paradise. [Elise smiled too, but it seemed a bit sad. If only Nohr had a bit of that paradise...] Can I see it when you make your room? Pretty please?

Your siblings sound like good people! I hope I can get to know them all that way too. Not that mine aren't! We all came from different mothers but we're still really close!

Xander's really strong! He tries really hard to be a good crown prince, aaand he looks after the rest of us. Camilla is like what I figure a mom should actually be like. She's can be kind and caring and supportive. I know that may be hard to believe if you've only seen her on the battlefield, but it's true. And then Leo is incredibly smart! Whenever I have a question about something, he always seems to know the answer, and is patient with me when I don't understand right away. Which...is a lot of the time heehee~ And of course you've already met Corrin!

What do I do...?
Well, I take some time to make sure Fujin Yumi is in good shape. I'll go on walks around town with my retainers or my siblings. Talk to the people. Some training.

...And...sometimes, maybe just a little bit of cooking.

[Elise immediately honed in on the most interesting bit of his hobbies.]

You cook!? [She was in fact imagining him cooking would be like. Considering her own knowledge of what people who cooked looked like were limited to Jakob and Felicia and the like, she was struggling not to laugh. Eventually, she got herself to settle down.]

Is it fun? I've always wondered.

I wouldn't call myself a master chef, but I do make a great miso soup.
Have you never tried cooking?

Nope. Back in Nohr I was supposed to leave the cooking to the servants, and I tended to get admonished when I sneaked into the kitchens.

I've been thinking about trying though. I don't have a job or anything, and I want to do something nice for everyone. But some of the cookbooks I've looked at use words like saute and stuff, and I'm not sure what they all mean.

I've been thinking about practicing while everyone is out though. So don't tell them, ok?
