What: Nikola  hired Jenny as his bodyguard to protect his work space from a certain Doctor

Call it Nikola perhaps being slightly greedy with Jenny's time when he hired her to protect his works space. Or perhaps, partially out of a slight necessity despite having peace and quiet for some time now. Whatever the reason, he was paying her to hang around his works space and play interference  just in case someone decided to come interrupt him.

To be fair, he was running a slight experiment with his shadows and the latest batch of wine that he just created. Something he definitely didn't want someone to randomly walk in on so perhaps, his security precautions were necessary. At least in his mind....

On the other side of the door, Jenny leaned against the wall beside it. She took her job seriously, and if Nikola had hired her to do the job of keeping her father and others out of his workspace, then so be it. She'd turn any of her fathers away if they came by seeing as that was her job as his bodyguard. Normally it was proper to stay closer, but for the meantime she was giving him privacy to work on his project.

As usual, The Tardis materializes in The Doctor's office, after booting up his chemistry lab, walks out of his office away from Nikola's office with a Rose clinging onto him like a koala bear and puts Rose in her office and then walks back past his office on his way to the elevator so he can go to the restaurant to see where they are on the blood dispenser in the Alternate Eats Resturant -when The Doctor stops in his tracks and exclaims in delight.

"Jenny! What are you doing here?"

Jenny can't help but grin back at his surprise and excitement. "Working. One of the company's new clients hired me." She answered. She didn't mind talking with him as long as he stayed out of Nikola's office. Distracting him was part of the job too it seemed.

You're gonna get a Doctor hug; he doesn't seem to care that either of them are working.

Then after a moment or two; does notice who's office she's guarding the entrance too.

"Well - I suppose I can't say wanting personal space is needed sometimes." Not that Mr. Rude and Not Ginger didn't just walk in before - nope.

"Do you think you could stop by at some point so I can show you what I do here?

Well, at least she's not going to deny him the hug.

"I can once I'm done work if you want, yeah. Haven't really seen much around here other then the entrance and then Nikola's office."

"When is that? And how do you know Nikola?"

"A few more hours or so I think. Depends on when he's done honestly. Though at this rate, I'll be getting paid overtime." She said with a laugh.

"Sorry," Rose brought Jenny a cup of tea to be nice. "What are you here for?" a small laugh. "Not complaining, but tryin' ta figure out the books so that someone other than me can do 'em." So someone being hired by anyone other than Rose who hired like 50 people without thinking about it still somehow threw her off. PLEASED HER, because it meant people were taking initiative and being SMART, so she was thrilled, but baffled.

Jenny accepted the tea well enough with a smile. "Working. I'm a bodyguard, but I'd say I'm more like a glorified security guard for Nikola's office at the moment." She said with a laugh.

"I didn't know you worked for Torchwood. We've spoken before I think, yeah?"

Rose giggled. "Well, you've got your work cut out for you. The Doctor, Koishi, and Cheshire have NO concept of out of bounds. Explains it though, I told him he could take any measures he wanted as long as it didn't get severe enough to drag me into it."

Another laugh, and Rose winked, "I run it, not to brag! Well, I say that, but mostly it just means trying to keep the Doctor actually doing something that can be marketed, and channel everyone's creativity out of the theoretical realm and into practical reality. So I'm basically a glorified babysitter," that's a lie, but it's a funny one.

Jenny laughed at that. That was one way to describe her dad, though she wasn't worried about those that might pop in other then said father. He's who she was really hired to deal with.

"I had no idea you ran it, but then again, we haven't talked a lot, have we, and yeah, dad needs one of those. Have to admit, he's the main reason I'm here guarding the office." Jenny told her with another laugh. She found it somewhat amusing that she was trying to keep her dad out of something.

"Yeah," Another laugh, and then head tilt, "Dad? Nikola???"

Jenny's answer was immediate and adamant. "Oh no. Hell no! The Doctor."

Rose's head swam like the first time she'd heard about Jenny existing, and the general aggravation about his other wives, time travel was one thing but --

"Oh... OH! Oh... Oh wow. Oh, okay... you're..." She rested a hand to the back of her forehead. Blonde, and Ten said she -- Jenny, his daughter -- did gymnastics, like Rose. "His daughter... Right! Yeah. Okay. Ahhhh... does he know you're here yet? How did you and Nikola come to this arrangement? Does he know you're related?" Everyone but Rose did after all, so why not.

[Eventually, Nikola pokes his head out of his work space to walk to Jenny, smiling slightly in excitement.]

I think the experiment is getting rather close. Come taste this, it's only slightly off but, I think it's getting rather close to how Umbra Vino is supposed to taste with the help of that device you built for me.

She laughed at his excitement. "I shouldn't be leaving my post you know, but if you want me to try it you can hand some out here. If I go inside, I'm liable to miss distracting the reason you hired me."

[He chuckled, knowing she had a point and within a few moments there was a shadow dispersing and revealing a glass of a dark colored wine so red it was nearly black as he handed it to her.]

Sip it slowly and let it roll over your tongue. It should have a smoky floral note to it.

[She accepted the wine and took a sip of it, doing as he'd told her too, and even closing her eyes for a moment to savor the taste.]

Mmm, it's good. I don't think I've ever had anything like it. You said it's only close though, right?

[He was watching her savor the taste and smiling. Honestly, it wasn't hard to see he was fond of her.]

Yes, I think aging it another five or ten years might to the trick. The floral notes should be slightly more pronounced underneath the smoky taste. However, this is where the aging becomes tricky as to not unbalance the two flavors. Otherwise, it would be too strong one way or another and that would completely ruin it.

Just make sure to age it only a little at a time perhaps then. I look forward to tasting it when it's finished.

[She hands the glass back to him after her taste. She wasn't supposed to be drinking on the job after all.]

Whut sort of device did Jenny build for you?

[Oh look, the person she's guarding his work against. Nikola pauses and glances towards ten for a moment.]

...A device to age the wine to where I wish it to be.

I found the components in Nova, and it took quite some trial and error.

Then I'll still be around to try your finest wine.

How wonderful. Then it looks like I won't get the joy of waiting to see if you're still around in another hundred years.

[Sarcasm? slightly. ]

It needs a few more tweaks and then it should be ready in say.. an hour or so I think.
