(Video)

[It's the fresh face of a young girl. Brilliant red eyes looking nervously into the camera, and large yellow wings hang behind her. It's a fair good moment before she finally speaks.]

...I'm Myrrh. I listened to this woman in white. Is it true, then? Is this no longer Magvel?

Is there...a forest, at least, that I can go to?

(Action)

[Myrrh can be seen wandering alnost aimless and alone, much of her dress obscured by the large dragon-like wings that protrude from her back. She looks almost like a small gargoyle, if they looked like timid young human girls. Her reason to wander is to get out of this human settlement and find a nice, quiet forest to hide in.

She stops at one corner though, watching. She sees someone who stands out from the rest of these people. Probably doing someone important. Myrrh can probably ask for their help. Though she tries, each time your gaze comes in her direction, she shies away and hides.

Kind of hard to hide with a dragon wing sticking out, though.]

[Hello, Myrrh, here's a small, genuine dragon peeking into the video feed.]

Hello...Fayren has some nice forests. Better than the other cities, I think...

[And Myrrh isn't a genuine dragon?! But that's beside the point.]

And... Are there other dragons here as well?

There are other dragons, but...the ones native to this world like to keep to themselves, so I live separately from them...

[ The healer was first aware that someone was following her when she heard a pattern of a single flap of wings. Birds with wingspans that big rarely got close to her.

She was on her way to work at Fayren, but the first glimpse at her follower wound up being mildly distracting. It was... a girl with wings? Dragon wings apparently.

And very shy to boot. ]

Excuse me! [ Konoka called as gently as she could. ] Are you lost?

[Who? Her? Myrrh peeks out from her hiding spot to confirm if she was being spoken to.

It seems so. She comes out into the opening and approached, kind of.]

...I'm looking for the forest. I heard there's one in... "Fayren?"

I see...

[Not too different from home.]

...Is it far to Fayren? I'm in a human town named... "Genessia?" If it helps any.

Yes, you are in Fayren.

However, the forests are out a little further than this.

[ Now if Myrrh had kept going, she'd eventually stumble upon said forest, but Konoka had felt the girl follow her for a while now. At the same time though... ]

Why did you want to go into the forest?

[Myrrh doesn't speak a response, only nodding twice while her wings flex a bit in anticipation. Yes, she does want to go to the forest.

Finally, she does speak up again]

The forest is this way? [A long pause...] ...Will you go with me?

Well I can, but...

[ Does this girl need an escort? Maybe someone stronger would suit much better... but Konoka mentally shook herself. She was a deputy after all. Protecting others was in her job description. ]

Ah, nevermind that, I'll be happy to take you over there.

[There's a tiny smile. An escort is fine, she doesn't like being alone, despite her painful shyness.]

Thank you... Though, you don't look happy. Is my request conflicting...?

[She's accepted going on alone if she has to. She just wanted to ask first anyway.]

The forest isn't especially dangerous, but I'm better suited at healing than fighting.

That being said though, I'm a deputy! Protecting people is in my job description!

[ Konoka looked especially pumped now. ]

Fighting...?

[Oopsie. Myrrh should probably explain her intentions.]

I'm not...going to the forest to fight... I'm going there to live.

[She needs a home if she's going to be stuck here.]

Ohhhh, okay.

[ Konoka nodded thoughtfully. ]

I think there's a good place or two where you can settle, and we can take a path that isn't fraught with trouble.

[Myrrh nods. Less trouble is best.]

I'll follow you, then.

[And while they do head towards the path to follow, she just has one simple question.]

Are...are there dangerous creatures lurking close to the town?

It shouldn't be too far. The cities are all connected by archways that will lead you from one city to another. The pendant you got on your arrival is what allows us to pass through these archways.

No, not really.

There are beasts out here that can get dangerous if you mess with them, but they are further out in the woods. I went camping out here once!

[ It got her thinking. ]

Do you feel at home in the woods?

[Myrrh nods.]

Yes... I was born in Darkling Woods, where my father protected the nearby town. I figure the forest here will...be like my home.

[She does plan to carry on Morva's legacy here, at least until she finds a way back to Magvel.]

Pendant...? This?

[She holds up the trinket. It's pretty.]

Who gave us these things? For what reason?

The spirits...the ones who brought us here...I think these pendants came from them. Other than allowing us to travel between the cities, I don't know any other purpose. No one really knows why we were brought here either...

I see...

[Her overall business is done, but her friends though. She glanced away thoughtfully for a moment.]

Has...anyone else arrived here from Magvel?

Oh, I see.

[ It's really about time they got acquainted. They'd been walking together for quite some time, and they still didn't know each other's names! ]

My name is Konoka Konoe. I'm a deputy of Fayren, serving as its chief healer. What's your name?

My name is Myrrh. To the people of Caer Pelyn, I was known as the Great Dragon. It's a pleasure to keet you, Konoka.

What is a deputy? Are you like a guardian?

Oh, so your a dragon? Those wings make sense then!

[ She didn't expect such a little girl would be such a strong dragon. It's kinda cute! ]

A deputy is like an assistant to a Guardian! They help protect people in times of crisis or general issues! Our current Guardian is Mavis Vermillion. She's a smaller woman who's really magically powerful.

[Technically it was her father who is the true "Great Dragon." She's just trying to get used to a title she inherited.

Myrrh stretched her wings a bit to show they are, in fact, real. If there was any doubt. The mentioning of someone magically powerful, though, reminded her of Saleh and it got her attention.]

...M-May I meet her? This Mavis... I have questions for her.

[Mavis is in the forest, training her Pokemons. Right now, Floette and Mawile are out.

Mavis is crouching in front of Mawile, scolding her gently.] I know you want to try your Mega Evolution. But I told you that already: you can't use it in the forest, nor in a friendly spar and especially not against Floette. I explained to you why. You remember, right?

[Mawile lowers her red eyes to stare at the botton of her dress and nods slowly. She looks a bit disappointed but she won't disobey her trainer. Though, Myrrh staring at them suddenly catches her attention. As she shies away and hides, Mawile keeps pointing in her direction with one of her hands.

Mavis turns to look and sees... a bush with dragon wings. She stands back up and calls out for whoever is hiding there.]

Who's there? Come on out, we won't hurt you.
