intro: steve rogers, voice and action

[Steve Rogers is a man who would like to think he’s gotten better at learning how to use technology. It’s been a few years since he has been out of the ice. When needed, he can fly the quinjet. He’d even been able to work a phone and a computer. He still wonders how Howard Stark felt about the modern world as it changed around him. He, at least, wasn’t thrown into it like Steve was. He’d helped to make it. So, the pamphlets were a little unnecessary as he toyed with the small device in his hands. His only real hesitation is to reach out to someone he doesn’t know.

He has no clue who he knows here and who he doesn’t. Being kidnapped and brought into a strange new world was also, sadly, something he was quite used to. His shoulders slump a little and a small sigh can be heard as he stares into the screen. He’s seen better days. Sporting a scraggy beard and some dark circles under his eyes, Steve forces an awkward smile.]

Hello. I’m Steve. I am new here, so it seems. I just spoke to the woman in white. And I went where I was supposed to go to get answers. Didn’t…” [He frowned.] Didn’t really get the answers I was looking for, but it’s a good start. I… I’ve been told what comes next. [And yet, there’s a sadness in his eyes. He doesn’t want to be here. He needs to get back home to Sam, Nat and the others. So many were depending on it. On him.]

[Being new in town, Steve really isn’t sure where to go. So, he opts to just wander aimlessly. As long he careful and did not interact with anyone specifically, he should be fine. Right? He needed information and walking around just seemed like the best course of action for him. After all, not many would speak to him because he was new. Or, perhaps he was imagining it.

Either way, Steve is walking down the street. Your street? He wants to try to meet some people and try to find a way home. He understands finding a job and trying to settle in. Still, it has to be off putting for others here. Doesn’t it? One hand reached up, running though his hair as he glances around. At least, eve n in this place, people watching and letting them move around him was slightly fascinating.

He doesn’t know where he is. While Steve had the power to knock people off their feet, he didn’t use his gifted powers for anything bad. He wondered, sadly, if he was stuck here forever. Bucky, he thought to himself…. Would he ever see his oldest, dearest friend again either?]

Her speech leaves something to be desired, doesn't it?

[ There's a blonde girl on screen, working in a cafe somewhere that serves crepes and teas and other such things. Her hair is tied back and off her face and while she sounds friendly? There's a wariness to how she addresses Steve. ]

She probably meets so many people? [He's trying, but it's really hard.] It's a bit off putting. This place is fine, but it's not home.

[In Genessia - probably not far from the arrival Bay - this strange being is striding along. Possibly reminding Steve of Ultron in that it is a large robotic creature. Grievous pauses and tilts his head to observe Steve for a moment, not recognising him. Perhaps another newcomer. Grievous often comes out here to check on new arrivals.]

[Steve blinks, staring at Grievous. And yes, Ultron is exactly what he thought. His shoulders tense and his eyes narrow as he stops, staring at Grievous. Having just arrived, he wasn't sure what was going on. Was this something normal? Were there multiple robots here?]

[No, he can't say he has. He tries to smile, a bit awkwardly, as he looks at the unicorn. He's struggling not to stare.]

[Lily sees him awkwardly smiling and....staring. Not an uncommon occurrence with what she was but still becoming quite annoying. Really, she couldn't wait to figure out how to take human form again, but for now, she merely stopped and looked back at the man staring at her.]

[Natasha has been in Genessia for a month and it still feels like she arrived yesterday. It helped that Bruce was there too, but it left Nat wondering about all those people that weren't in the City.

She was standing outside the common center, reading a newspaper, smirking at some of what was written there. She glanced up, a smile coming across her face slowly. ]

[He'd been walking, feeling like he was in a daze, trying to get his bearings in this new place. He sure didn't feel like he was in Kansas anymore. And there was no Toto beside him. He sighed, about to turn when he heard that voice.

[Steve turned, the corners of his lips turning up in a wide smile.]

[There's an understanding smile on the face in the video. Friendly and open expression too. But those eyes--that sadness in them...that's familiar.]

You spoke to Weiss herself, or the hologram?

[Reaching up, rubbing at the back of his neck awkwardly.]

About the only good thing is that a lot of the beings in Genessia and its cities are familiar with people showing up suddenly. A video like this is good, as it helps you find people--especially anyone here who you know, or might know you.

Casual I can do, and try and help answer some questions. I was lucky, in a way---first, I didn't arrive alone, and second--I had family here to help explain.

The short version is yes, pretty much everyone who has a pendent is a kidnapee and not native to any of the 5 cities. Keep your pendent on you as it allows travel between the gates and cities. We're brought from every where and when, no matter what sense that might make or not. We don't have control over it, and no known way home for sure.
