001 - Houston, I have so many problems...
[ Waking up in a stuffy pod clad in her power armor together with her pet sheltie puppy, who was lucky enough to be small or else it would have suffocated on the pod, was not the kind of rest and recreation she was expecting. After being given a leave back home that she planned on using to go on a road trip, she didn't think the kind of travels she'll be doing is involuntary and interdimensional. Like any new arrival she got out of the Bay, she listened to the hologram, then went to the Welcoming Center and got briefed of her current situation. But somehow none of it really soothed her discomfort. From then on, Andrea can be found in different parts of Genessia City, armor-clad from the neck down with a handgun on her side and a tiny puppy in her arm: ]
A - Genessia Garden Park
[ For the most part, she's confused and annoyed as she reads the words on the pamphlet. The puppy, named Jimi, is still too young, curious, and untrained - so it found a way to jump from the bench and onto the sidewalk where it almost managed to escape Andy ]
Hey! Where are you goin'? Damn it, Jimi!
[ Andy yelled toward the dog, leaning and lunging forward to grab the puppy with her hand and onto her side. She accidentally lets go of the pamphlet, letting it get blown be the wind caused by the passing car. She tried to follow it, but it just got lost to the wind and ran over by another car. Throwing her hand in the air, she sighs and scratches her head. She looks at the puppy with a pout as it enjoys the comfort of being held in her hands. ]
You and I need to work on our communication.
B - Hunk's Hamburger Hoedown
[ With her craving for hamburgers and a name like that, it was bound to at least make Andrea curious as to what this place is like. Only it's under construction. So naturally, Andrea looks disappointed upon arriving. ]
Aw, hell... Now this world juuuust keeps on disappointing!
[ She's still salty about her vacation plans being ruined and how the Commonspace don't allow pets. Now this too? ]
C - Wildcard
[ After the disappointment in not finding a place to get some burgers, Andrea keeps on exploring. She memorizes the city streets in her head as she walks, using stores and unique locations as landmarks to make it easier to remember. She can be seen in front of: the archways, apartment buildings, Amagi Inn, Bright Sky Diner, Cake Town, Cat's Eye Cafe, Firing Range, General Hospital, Hamete Strip Mall, Pan's Grocery, Sand Gym, and Hangar Queen. So if you're one of those people who don't mind saying hello to a strange, armored woman who seem to be scoping these places out, don't hesitate to say hello. Otherwise, Jimi would just bark at your character. ]

Hangar Queen;
Bar hopping with your friend? I can't say we have much in the way of drinks for dogs.
no subject
That's fine, Jimi here is underage anyway.
[ "Only tepid water for you~" she utters at the puppy, tapping his nose. Being only 8-weeks old and the runt of the litter, Jimi almost looks more like a slightly larger bunny. ]
Say, you know who the owner is? Never ever have I thought about an air-force themed bar slash nightclub bein' a thing. Figured they might be from my world.
[ With the F-14s, Andrea assumes the owner might be a US Air Force airman. She's new to the Archons and hasn't been given enough clearance levels to go traveling to other worlds yet ]
no subject
Jimi's adorable. I think he's got better things to do than get a taste of alcohol.
[He doesn't mind pets showing up with their owners, so long as they're well behaved and supervised. And as long as they don't give Mareep trouble. She's just doing her job as mascot.]
The owner, eh? You're talkin' to him, actually. Name's Gale Reinhardt.
no subject
[ Andrea was quick to warm up to Gale, extending a hand out of courtesy. She observes him carefully out of curiosity. Being from a futuristic world, she isn't so surprised to see people who look different. ]
I'm diggin' the decor. That Tomcat really drew my eyes it almost popped out of my skull. You were in the Air Force?
no subject
Air Force? Nah. I was a mercenary pilot. Spent most of my career in a Tomcat. I guess you could say the mercenary faction I was in were technically extensions of the local country's ASDF.
[Doing shit for Klistea was annoying, but when Koenig let the organization operate in his country, it seemed only fair.]
You a pilot yourself or an aficionado?
no subject
[ She asks, smirking and crossing her arms. She's finding Gale more interesting as her focus gets drawn more and more towards him, making it easier to drown out the noise and ignore anything else around them ]
Flew an Eagle for a bit and then a Raptor for the rest, fightin' for the good ol' U.S. of A.
[ Obvious pride shows in her voice and demeanor, although the mention of a mercenary pilot and ASDF were not lost on her. She's wearing her flight jacket underneath her armor. She's show it to him later, but for now the armor stays. Just in case something weird pops up. Gotta always be ready for trouble when one is new to a place ]
Gotta say, never heard of an ASDF or even contractors having fighter jets. Gonna hazard a guess that you're one of those folks who are not from Earth? I heard that's the case here from the Welcoming Center.
[ Her eyes narrow, tilting her head in a skeptical expression. ]

I'm from a world called Celveryia. The whole "other worlds" shit sounds farfetched at first, but ya get used to it pretty quick. Take it from a guy who's been 'round here for three years.
[Or, well. Almost three. But he may as well say three at this point. He's only a month off for that... and only a month off from hitting 30. Christ, where does the time go in this place?]
Eagles and Raptors are good machines. Where I come from, though, Raptors are the elite babies of one country. Only a handful of 'em exist, and an even fewer amount of pilots for 'em.
[He gestures towards the bar.]
Care for a drink? The first drink for new folk is free.
no subject
[ She chuckles feeling Jimi's breath on her chin as it gnaws in the air, eager to bite at anything. Thinking about how Raptors are in Celveryia, Andrea's train of thought was distracted by Gale's offer for a drink. She didn't want to drink any alcohol just yet. So she picks an all-American choice of drink! ]
You have some Coca-Cola in this place? I am feelin' mighty parched now that you mentioned it.
no subject
[He scoots out of the booth seat he was in and picked his laptop from the table. He set it on the bar counter while he swung around behind it, grabbing a glass in one swift motion and got her the cola she wanted from the fountain. He set it on the counter nearest to her before leaning against the bar top.]
And yeah, it's confusing as shit when ya start out. I think I've heard mentions of "Earth" a lot, so ya might got a number of others that may be familiar with where you're from. Maybe not the specifically same point in time, but ya won't run into folk like me the whole time. There may be a couple subarchways for you to check out too. One guy from Earth took me to "Tokyo" once.
[He's thinking there was another Earth city somewhere, but he couldn't think of it off the top of his head.]
So, what's your name, kid?
no subject
Kid? Darling, I'm 30. But I appreciate it if you think I look young.
[ She winks at him, resting her chin on her hand. Her short stature helps, but her physical augmentations did help in making her look younger. ]
But I heard about those subarchways from the Welcoming Center. It's a crazy thing to be able to make perfect copies of entire cities. Really wondering what this Tokyo is like now. Sure hope it's as good as I remember it from back home, I spent some time in the air base near there.
A.
When Andi has caught up with her dog, he stops following and gives them both a curious look.]
... Communicating with animals is going to be difficult. A proper leash would be a better solution, wouldn't it?
no subject
[ A leash is definitely a good idea, and now that she is reminded of it, that's definitely something she should buy today. ]
Definitely gonna end up getting one later, but figured I should find a place to live first, y'know? That Commonspace ain't as welcoming as advertised.
B
I do not understand the theme of this place or why people like it so much.
no subject
Well it sells burgers, that alone oughta be a hook for many. 'least where I'm from, that's how it is.
no subject
[It's not a theme he's really had to work with much, or at all really. he crossed his arms over his chest as he looked over slightly.]
I get sometimes a place needs a theme, but I always wonder why certain themes work.
no subject
Never really put any thought on it before. Guessin' movies played a role in making cowboys and the wild west theme popular in this world too. Not that I'd know much, I just got here.
no subject
[He unfolded his arms if only for a moment.]
Sorry for asking questions, but they really help.
no subject
[ Andrea answers him with a smirk ]
Some trippy shit, really. Still getting my head around this "other worlds" business. That Welcoming Center earlier today helped a tad but still something to get used to.
[ Andrea is confident in her ability to adapt. She's trained to survive and has the will to do so, she shouldn't have a problem adapting. It would just take her some time. ]
How long you been in here?
no subject
[So really for him, whose world really didn't have much in terms of magic. It was a huge thing to come here where a lot of people have abilities like in stories, video games and other media.]
It depends on what our world was like though, if you are used to magic and such it might be a lot easier for you.
no subject
[ Andrea looks like her hopes and dreams have been shattered by that reveal. Groaning and scratching her head, she answers with a sigh ]
And hell, come on, magic? I miss the thought of aliens being the weirdest thing I've ever encountered.
no subject
[He couldn't help but be surprised. Aliens?]
Yes, magic. it's strange but... um... Aliens? really?
no subject
[ She says it so casually as if they're as normal as dogs and cats ]
Guessin' none have invaded your planet yet, huh? Don't worry, I had the same expression when I found out about them the first time.
[ She says with a slight chuckle, patting Kaoru's shoulder ]
no subject
[She shook his head slightly. Considering what he just said, it was obvious.]
But as far as I am aware, no.
Bright Sky Diner
[Allen had just come in for his job. His current placement of home was pretty much smack bang next to it so that Timcampy and Link Jr were aware of where he was should they need him and didn't need to travel that far. So he was currently standing just outside the door wearing his uniform that suited the diner setting.]
Are you wanting to come in or... Just... going to stare?
no subject
Well that depends, do they allow pets inside? No way in hell I'm leaving this puppy outside. It might run off.
no subject
[As he pointed out the tent that was close by Timcapmpy was quick to fly on over and land happily on his head for the moment. His pokemon Link Jr was staying inside the ten, mostly because there was a mess in there he was determined to clean first.]
I don't think there are many places that allow it.
no subject
Same where I was from, then. Oh well...
[ Andy sighs, rolling her shoulders ]
Know any place that does? I'm a greenhorn here in Genessia. Name's Andrea, but you can call me Andy.
no subject
[Not that he had ever been to them himself really. he had only just heard of them.]
no subject
[ She shrugs, nodding upwards to him ]
You didn't give me your name.
no subject
[He smiled slightly.]
My name is Allen. Allen Walker.
no subject
Well it's finally nice to meet ya, Allen Allen Walker.
[ She winks, teasing him slightly, leaning back and standing tall with a hand on her hips ]
Just about done roaming around this "Genessia", know a good place for a hotel or something? The ones that allow pets.
no subject
No... hotel wise I've never stayed at any. I went from the commons to where I live currently. But there are low end motels that I believe might.
no subject
[ Andrea sighs, but at least she wasn't as frustrated and confused as before ]
Didn't want to have to spend that money "they" gave us in that totally-not-weird folder so soon, but at least I'm used to low-end motels.
[ For road trips and having grown up in a rural place where those are common ]
Guess I'll see ya around, Allen. Juuust gonna have to come back here later when I'm not carrying a dog and I'm better dressed. It'd be nice to see you're cute face again.
[ She clicks her tongue and finger guns him as she starts to walk away. She'll only stop and turn around if he has anything to say. If not, then off she goes ]
B - Action
[Ryoma gazed a the other, and her puppy, knowing that she was definitely having a bad day.]
no subject
Really?
[ She asks him, petting the dog with her other hand like a villain, but she's doing this kind of intentionally now as she studies Ryoma from head to toe. ]
Where is this other option then?
no subject
Indeed. It's just down some blocks, I can show you the way. I am Ryoma by the by.
[He was getting better at the current lingo here. No Princes, no 'of Hoshido'...see? He can adjust]
no subject
[ She spares a hand to offer it for a handshake, aware that the custom may be alien to Ryoma, but at least they can talk about how that is a normal thing where she's from ]
It's nice to meet'cha Ryoma. How long have you been here?
no subject
You too, Miss Andrea. I have been here for a short while myself. I think it has been..a month, maybe? Just enough time to learn a thing or two about this place, though.
Come.
[Ryoma smiled, leading her to the cafe, but was wary to not be to leading, rather walking by her] You'll a lot while you're here. From the looks of it, it looks like you're from a future era, am I correct to assume?
