[he's standing on his office desk, sunglasses on and holding his guitar]
For anyone that knew her, and even those who don't, Professor River Song went home. Wherever that may be.
[uploaded into a library, he knows. But for now. Only for now]
We've lost a great mind and a good heart.
[then he mutters, almost as if to himself:]
And fare thee well, my bright eyed love.
And fare thee well awhile!
And I will come again, my love,
Though it were ten billion miles
[and he plays a fitting tribute]

Re: [Action]
[ As she moves to step inside, she continues ] How long ago is 'just'? And...is it rude to ask what you gave up to get her?
[Action]
Anyway, isn't she gorgeous? Totally updated. A little grounded in her present point of time but always beautiful. [he strokes the console fondly] With a new pool room I'm pretty sure. I think I saw a sauna anyway. Though she keeps hiding my pool noodles for some reason.
Re: [Action]
[ Martha grins at him and then twirls around the console room in sheer delight. She loves the TARDIS. All three of them. And she's glad he has her if he doesn't have River. ]
But she is, yeah. She's brilliant. [ She eyes him with mock suspicion. ] What did you do with the last set of pool noodles, oi?
[Action]
Fancy a bit of a look round, Doctor Jones?
Re: [Action]
I can't imagine anything I'd like better, Doctor.
[ Her lips quirk then, bright and a bit sassy. ] Maybe we'll find your pool noodles.
[Action]
How has this place been treating you?
Re: [Action]
[ Martha grins and sends a psychic wink at the TARDIS. Maybe this version of her won't be narky about her special relationship with Jack. She picks a direction and just lets the TARDIS open up the space before them, but she's curious whether her old room is here somewhere. ]
Genessia's all right, yeah? I'm almost used to there not being Toclafane every time I turn around. Still a bit jumpy, though.
: [Action]
It'll pass. Not that Genessia doesn't have things that will kill you. [but fewer and far between. They pass something like a cinema which is playing a rebooted version of Casablanca with anthromorphized cat people and into a corridor with feathery plants that seem to want to pet Martha as she passes]
I think she's bored.
Re: : [Action]
We should take her on an adventure. She is bored.
[ A frond pats her cheek and tugs on a lock of her hair. She grins and strokes the frond with her fingertip. ]
Show us something cracking great, yeah?
[Action]
I can show you a collection room. I've a few of those around. [some he's even lost count of] A gallery or two, though one of them is not necessarily safe for work.
Re: [Action]
[ The TARDIS is no different than other beings Martha's met in her travels. She wants to be seen and heard, she wants to matter, and she loves her Doctor.
Martha squeezes the Doctor's fingers. ]
You don't mind, yeah? Show us what you want to see.
: [Action]
Did you explore the TARDiS when you were in her? When you were with Twiggy?
[he squeezes her fingers in return]
I'm not sure if I've ever properly apologized for that, by the way.
Re: : [Action]
[ She's about to elaborate when he says what he does. Her chin lifts and her gaze turns toward him, expression bemused. ]
Apologized for what?
[Action]
I didn't appreciate what I had when I had it, I think. And you deserved so much more. so much better. But sometimes it's hard to see beyond my own nose.
Re: [Action]
It takes her a moment to gather herself to say ]
Losing someone you love is like that. I'e always been glad I was there to help. Maybe I wanted... [ a shrug ] Things to be different. But they were good, yeah? Whatever you think I deserved, I don't regret what I have.
