1st Curious Thought [Video]
[The image moves around a bit, focusing first on a very bright blue eye before it's pulled back to reveal... well a child, a little seven-year-old child. She frowns as she presses her lips together.]
I think it's on...
[She walks up closely to the camera again.]
I'm not sure... oh well, I'll shall have to simply hope it is and if not, I'll do it all over again.
[She pulled away and offered a curtsy to whomever may be watching.]
Oh ah, hello and how do you do? [Whoever is out there.] My name is Alice Liddell, it's a pleasure to meet you!
Oh um, well, wherever you may be, in any case, you see... I'm afraid I'm a bit lost. [She gestured to a part of the city that is the library and most definitely not Kusanagi and Haller Home for Children.] I was told to go to the home for children, but I'm afraid I must have taken quite a few wrong turns as I'm very much not where I should be... unless the home for children is a library?
... Well, I suppose we would never run out of things to do and lessons would be quite easy but I am rather sure it isn't. And if I'm rather sure, then that means I'm fairly certain, and if you're fairly certain, you can rest assured!
Would uh, would someone please be so kind as to help me get where I need to go? I'm afraid I've lost my way... Unless this is another part of the Looking Glass, I suppose, and then all ways are the queen's way... but I'm sure it isn't, it said it wasn't.
Thank you very much!
Oh! Also... is the Home for Children, is it a nice home? [She doesn't want to live somewhere nasty.] It's... It's not an orphanage, is it? Or a workhouse?

Seeing they were approaching the cafe, and that Alice had trouble with the idea of not trusting, Regina suggested, "You'll have to trust your own judgment, of course, but I hope you can promise me that if someone seems rude enough to eat you, steal from you or otherwise harm you, you won't lecture them? You'll just run."

At the request of a promise, Alice stopped. Promises, after all, were serious things, you didn't make them lightly and you didn't make them while walking. At the mention of someone wanting to eat, steal, or harm her and that she'd run, not lecture them, she gave a nod. That was very good advice... now she merely hoped she would be able to follow it.
Perhaps her hope of keeping a promise would outweigh the need to be polite? She gave a nod eventually and even held out her pinky.
"I promise, Miss Regina."

Fighting past a wave of longing for that sweet smile and his father's love (even if she had Neil now), she offered her own pinky to little Alice with her very serious face. "And I promise that if you're ever in trouble and call me, I will come help you."
[ooc: wrap this one?]

With the promise made, Alice smiled and was quick to take Regina's hand again before they both went into the cafe for a light meal, later to be followed with a walk to the children's home to get Alice situated.
