[Have a moderately stiff, slightly uncomfortable-looking Japanese woman trying to adjust the feed so that it's centered well. Someone is definitely not comfortable with this but trying to pull off a stoic demeanor.]
My name is Tomoe Himura, I am seeking some form of employment. I freely admit that I am at a disadvantage with most technology here as it does not exist where I come from. I learn quickly and believe I can pick up on most things provided I am shown how to use them.
I have been taught basic skills from the samurai class including the traditional tea ceremony and flower arrangement if there is such a need. I have nearly ten years experience with childcare, am considered a moderately good cook and have worked as both waitstaff and housekeeping. Lastly, I have had six months experience in assisting an apothecary [*cough*fake apothecary*cough*] though I cannot claim any medical knowledge in and of itself, simply preparatory knowledge. [She has become a wiz with that mortar and pestle.]
[She bows a little awkwardly considering she's bowing to a gadget instead of a person]
Douzo yoroshiku onegaishemasu.
[Action around Fayren, Attleton and Genessia (Nova City is just a bit too much and she's gathered Everglade is prooooooobably not a good idea for her...]
From what she had gathered, the fact that her pendent was predominately green meant that the powers that be felt that Fayren was the best match for her--and for the most part they seemed to be right as far as she could tell, at least where the lesser amount of brain-breaking technology was concerned. She had a much easier time wrapping her mind around concepts of magic and sorcery than science and technology. Truth be told, however, now that the initial panic had subsided there was a part of her that wanted to learn more about the available technology for the simple fact that she was irritated by her own ignorance. That said, she hadn't yet found anywhere that seemed to have the right sort of employment for her either, unless she wanted to face off with drunkards on a regular basis at the Drunken Monkey... which she hadn't entirely counted out, at least not yet.
So it was going to be a day of exploration now that she wasn't having a heart attack every time a vehicle passed her or odd-looking person or creature passed her. Even if she didn't find something in Fayren, from what she could tell Attleton and Genessia itself were promising enough, or at least not so technologically advanced that she had no hope of adapting at all. After all, if she could figure out how to use the communication device with relatively few errors she could surely manage one of those automated cash registers, right? Or a modern stove... If she was really lucky she'd find something that didn't involve technology at all, though that was probably wishful thinking.
She paused outside of another business, considered a moment and then approached the entrance.

[Action, Fayren]
Currently, she's been searching around Fayren for her missing friend. She has a photo of Orihime in hand.
Watch out, Tomoe. Instead of walking, the blue haired girl is flying and touches down by the entrance seemingly out of nowhere. The landing jostles a few of the things in her purse, announcing her presence. Bulla holds out a picture of her friend.]
Excuse me, miss, but have you seen this girl?
1/2 [Action, Fayren] sadly Tomoe doesn't have hilarious faces like Kenshin...
[BRB, HAVING A HEART ATTACK]
[Action, Fayren]
[She stares slightly wild-eyed at the girl, hands clenched in the front of her kimono, heart pounding in her ears.]
[It takes her a moment to focus on what the girl actually said, and likewise on the image. She blinks at the image, noting the red hair before anything else. Is the color really so common here???]
[Then again, the girl asking the question has blue hair, so is this really so surprising?]
...
I have not.
[Action, Fayren]
I'm sorry for startling you. I'm trying to find my friend. She's been missing for days now.
[She fidgets. She knows going around asking strangers is a longshot, but it's more productive than just doing nothing.]
[Action, Fayren]
It's alright. I am still... adjusting.
[She looks at the picture again.]
I am sorry about your friend. What is her name?
[Action, Fayren]
[Not that it's terribly common in her own, but it has been seen at highly public events like the annual world tournament.]
Orihime Inoue. She's a very sweet person.
[Action, Fayren]
[Though some might think Kenshin can fly--he's just really fast...]
If I see her I'll contact you. [She frowns a little] At least I think I know how to do so...
[She pauses and retrieves her device from where it's tucked in her obi before offering it to Bulla. Help a 19th century girl out?]
[Action, Fayren]
[Most people didn't have enough ki for it to be viable to use, but there's no need to get into all of the details.
Bulla takes the device, demonstrating where to find the contact list, and then her name.]
My name is Bulla. If you could also contact the Genessia Guardians' office if you find her, that would be very helpful. Orihime works there.
[Action, Fayren]
I will.
[Action, Fayren]
[She's going to assume it's 'miss' if only because Tomoe doesn't look that much older than Bulla is.]
[Action, Fayren]
Himura Tomoe...
[Action, Fayren]
[It's possible that there was a network post that Bulla missed. She's been neglecting the network lately and some people rarely use it. But it doesn't hurt to ask. Given that pause, she decides perhaps volunteering a bit of information may make this reserved girl a little more comfortable.]
I've been here a few months. Not long enough to know everything about this place, but long enough to have gotten used to things and make some friends.
[Action, Fayren]
[Eh, only one public one that she's actually aware of. Otherwise the super reserved private lady has discovered the anonymous function! AND IT'S AMAZING! :3]
: [Action, Fayren]
[She can't guarantee she'll have all the answers, but she does try to be helpful to people when she can.]
[Action, Fayren]
...
Might you have any suggestions for employment? That is... for someone unfamiliar with technology as a whole.
[Action, Fayren]
[To put it mildly, but that's good for some. Bulla on the other hand embraces technology and the comforts it offers.]
Let's see...there's the Drunken Monkey. I think they're looking for waitstaff and a barkeep. Or if you're interested in working for a bookshop, I know the owner of a bookshop named Scribes and Scripts. Her name is Mavis Vermillion and you can tell her that Bulla sent you.
[Mainly she comes to Fayren to train at Fairy Haven and spend time with friends who live there, but she has explored the town somewhat.]
[Action, Fayren]
Scribes and Scripts...? Where is this located? [This could be promising, if it paid enough that is...]
[Action, Fayren]
Okay, we're here...and the way you want to go is over this way.
[She traces her finger along the route slowly until she taps on where Scribes and Scripts is.]
This is it here.
[Action, Fayren]
That way?
[Action, Fayren]
Not quite. A little more to the left.
[One of several advantages to being able to fly is getting a good overhead view of what one's looking for. It makes it easier to follow maps.]
Re: [Action, Fayren]
You cook, too? Maybe we should exchange recipes or something.
Hello Emiya-san.
[She gives him a nod.]
I do. [She tilts her head just a bit.] Is that not normal...?
[Ah... gender roles... @_@
wait for the mind fuck that will be your husband my dear...]Re: [Video]
[Shirou doesn't know how she got that idea, so he might as well apologize. Even if he's not sure what he did or said wrong.]
What I meant to say is that I cook, too. I know both Japanese and Western dishes, but I'm slightly better at cooking Japanese food.
I see. I have never prepared Western food--though until arriving here I had also never eaten it either.
[And what she has eaten has been few and far between because she's cooking for herself when she can.]
Re: [Video]
[It's OK for him to admit that Sakura's skill at cooking Western food has surpassed his. It's not OK for anyone else to say it, though.]
It would be a good skill to learn.
...
If it would not be an imposition... Would Emiya-san be be kind enough to show me how to use some of the modern appliances? I have been hesitant to use them.
[Because she might burn the building down... Ironic considering she's more used to dealing with open flame which would be more likely to burn a building down buuuuuuut...]
Re: [Video]
[So now that that's squared away...]
You can come to our apartment for it. We have a small kitchen with modern appliances.
I would greatly appreciate it.
Re: [Video]
[Though she might charge her for lessons.]
Anyway, when would you be able to come over?
might come in handy if her adult brother ever shows up *sobbing forever*]In the morning or early afternoon. What would be convenient for you, Emiya-san?
Re: [Video]
[He took a job that has him working through lunch and dinner, so mornings would be super tight and afternoons aren't doable at all.]
My next day off is Thursday. Does that work?
Re: [Video]
[she would kill for that considering where she was working now... Too many drunken oafs for her taste...]
