[The Bakugou who glares into the camera looks positively haggard. His hair is in a disarray, dark circles framing his eyes as the sunglasses slide down his nose. His shirt is wrinkled, and he ~~finally looks like Aizawa's kid~~ like he hasn't slept in days. For someone high maintenance like him, it's telling.]

Approximately sometime on Monday, September 24th, Orihime Inoue went missing. If you know her, you'll realize why that's out of character, because she isn't the type of person to do stupid shit, but if you don't know her look carefully.

[He holds up a picture of her and places it back down.]

The scumbag I think most likely to be responsible is the same rotten piece of garbage from my world who brought down the arcade, Shirataki Tofuka. Allow me to be so clear that even a cowardly speck of nothing who hides behind someone else's hand can understand this:

This mistake is going to cost you your life. You think you have the upper hand now? You're just making it worse for yourself once I find you. Withholding information makes you an accessory no better than him, and I'll slaughter every single person involved until I find her. If you have information, we can protect you. Otherwise, stay the fuck out of my way.

[Despite making the text anonymous to mask his location at least, he's not even going to bother hiding who he is.]

Let me make a few things clear. First, that's not even remotely my name. It's Shigaraki Tomura. Second, I don't know who this Orihime Inoue is, and trust me when I say if I wanted to get at you, you'd know damn well it was me.

That said, a piece of advice: hurry. If it were me? She'd already be dead.

[He grins, baring his teeth, his eyes wide and wild. He's trying to look as intimidating as possible to look brave, when the simple fact is even an anon text from the bastard makes his stomach drop.]

[There's a lot he wants to say, and warn against. The dangers of going after someone full-tilt, of stirring up the attention of someone like Shigaraki ~~and correcting him on the name~~, and especially the importance of pacing himself because Bakugou looks downright haggard.]

[So even though he doesn't really know what's going on, or who this girl is, it seems like this situation matters a lot to Katsuki. He can't sit on his hands and let him go it alone.]

[He has to be careful not to sound like he's trying to take command or tell Bakugou what he should do. The only way he'll likely let Midoriya help out is if he plays it as passively as possible.]

[Habit, made worse by no sleep, has his eyes flaring and his words screamed before he can register what Deku said. When he does, he grips his desk, scowling away, and calms down enough for the moment to reply sullenly.]

Sir Handsalot likes seedy looking places that most people avoid. But he knows me, and my quirk. He could cause a lot of destruction if he planned it correctly.

Start searching places that have unstable materials, like abandoned plants and shit like that. Especially if they're near the more densely populated areas. I already made a list so I don't have to listen to your useless mumbling about it.

[Lordy, where does she start with this? Satou stares at the video screen for a long time, not responding just yet. Her professional instinct is to scold him for ruining any search effort right out of the gate. Do they not teach kids how to get things done, or just how to punch at their problems?

People already think Satou babies Katsuki. Maybe she does, because she switches to private and decides to start as his friend. He probably won’t learn anything if he’s emotional anyway.]

I haven’t noticed any emotional disturbances in Everglade. If anything bad at happened to a pendent bearer, I would have found residue of it.

[He shouts, scoffing and ending the video to change. He arrives at the Bay some time later, wearing his hero costume. It should feel better getting to wear it again.]

[She didn't know when Orihime had first gone missing, but she'd gotten increasingly worried yesterday when her friend didn't show up when they had plans and hadn't called to cancel or even sent a message.]

Hey Katsuki-niichan.

[Orihime was the one who'd taught her the correct way to say big brother in Japanese. She's acutely aware of that right now.]

She more than likely wasn't taken from her apartment. I sniffed around the door and I looked through the window and there's no sign of a disturbance from what I could see looking in. I haven't sensed her ki when flying around Nova City.

Right, right. [She also hangs up, then prints off those maps so that she can meet him. Katsuki will now get to carry around a cute office clipboard and probably a cat-themed pen. You’re welcome.

She arrives and holds the stuff out to him.]

Okay. How do you normally conduct searches back home? Let’s get on the same page.

[He's plain and doesn't tend to stand out much, so outside of Everglade and Nova City he's not worried about blending in and scoping things out.]

[Besides, Bakugou's suggestions are good ones. Midoriya is aware that a missing girl could be due to any number of circumstances, but he's in agreement that the villain from their world, who's messed with Bakugou at least twice before now, is the most likely suspect.]

And Aizawa-sensei...is he...?

[He'd been pretty adamant about Midoriya never crossing paths with Shigaraki, he's pretty sure Bakugou's been told the same. But surely in this instance he'd help out, right? Or at least look the other way?]

Hey kid, you did notify the authorities at least for your missing girlfriend right? If not, please come down to the Genessia's Police station to give your statement at least so we can do our job as well.

[As far as she's concerned, if she's going to be a target, her interference with the arcade incident and standing up for Bakugou then would have already made her one. At this point, she's just trying to derail the conversation.]

We could take you to one of the cities that you don't feel is associated with Bakugou-kun. This arrangement would keep you safe, and you would be collaborating with your claim of innocence.

Unfortunately, not all of these cities have pendent bearing police departments. Not to belittle the natives, but they aren't equip for every power in Genessia. So we'll have to fill that role ourselves.

[Satou flips the pages on the clipboards, showing him the city maps.]

If I'm going to be tracking emotional residue from more than 24 hours ago, I'm going to have to concentrate. I won't be able to see properly and make good notes. So I need you to help me navigate, and make sure I don't walk into traffic. Can you do that, or do I need to call someone else?
