[Okay, as if suddenly showing up in an unfamiliar place that definitely wasn’t Vale wasn’t bad enough, there was a blizzard. It is made even worse by the fact that what he was wearing? Wasn’t something suited at all for this sort of weather. He’s pretty much discarded the pamphlet (but kept the money) he doubted it would have told him anything like “Blizzard ahead”.

He’s has to duck into the first building that he can reach, because its freaking cold out there for someone in a simple white shirt and a pair of pants. It is after that that he switches his communicator on to talk, his teeth are chattering and he hasn’t exactly warmed up yet.]

F-Funny. I-Instead of l-leaving me these little trinkets, w-whoever is responsible f-for me being here could have left a coat instead. [Because seriously, he feels like he is about to freeze his tail off.]

[Sun has no idea either. He doesn't know Yang nearly well enough to predict where her antics might lead. He uses the communicator to show the interior of the store that he is in.]

[Blake watches the video feed pan around, nodding after a moment.]

I know where that is.

[Still... if Yang's already on her way, there probably isn't any need for her to go as well. Maybe it would be better to wait here....

Oh, to heck with it.]

I'll try to find a coat and bring it to you. Just in case Yang didn't think of it.

[Sun knows he should probably tell her not to come and to stay in and out of the blizzard but..he didn't think she was likely to listen to him anyway if she did.]

If you are sure. You just grab one for yourself as well if you really want to come out into the mess for me.

Don't worry. After seeing the kind of weather this place seems to have, I made sure to get one.

[And a few minutes later, Blake is out in the storm after taking a shortcut over the high ground (because she's not sure what's going on in Yang's head, but she gets the feeling she should do her best to beat her to the punch), and weathering it as best she can. It's still a pretty miserable trip though, even bundled up in her long black coat, scarf and hat. The wind is blowing her hair out behind her, and pelting her with snow and the cold is already starting to cut through her cold weather gear.

So, she's a rather miserable sight by the time she gets to the shop Sun's taken shelter in and shoves her way inside with her arms wrapped around a bundle she'd grabbed from Jaune's apartment, bring along a gust of cold air and snow.]

[Sun had thought for sure that Yang would be the one to get there first. Since getting off the communicator with both of them, he took the time to properly warm himself up. Or at least as best as he could given that he didn’t have much that he could use to aid him in that.

The first sign that he got that someone had arrived was that blast of cold wind from the door as it was opened. That chilly air wasn’t something he missed. He was just sitting over at one of the tables inside the shop. He raised a hand up and waved to her, as if she’d have any difficulty spotting him in this place.]

Glad to see you made it safely.

[Be that as it may, he's still probably better off than she is right at the moment, having just come through it. She's brushing the snow off her coat and out of her hair (especially out of her hair, she wanted as much of that gone as possible before it melted and left her soaked) as she makes her way over to his table.]

Well, I've had a few weeks to get to know the area.

[In other words, she'd had time to figure out a shortcut or three that Yang might not know about. She takes a seat and hands over the coat, folding her arms and most certainly not shivering a little.]

We've all been here a while now.


[OOC: Talked it over with Yang's player. She's good with Yang getting there later and possibly wrecking up a moment]

You and the rest of your team? That’s weird. I know it hadn’t been nearly that long since I saw you in Vale. [He reaches out and takes the coat as she offers it to him and he starts to slip it on. Once he has it own, he zips it up too just for added protection from the cold. No more chest bearing for him until he got settled in some place or until the blizzard passed. Whichever came first.]

Thanks. Where did you get the coat anyway? Did you swing by a store and grab it? There was some old guy that was telling me about one near here.

I... borrowed it. [Sorry, Jaune.]

All of us except for Weiss. [But then something he says catches her attention and she looks up sharply.] Wait, we weren't missing? But we've been here for weeks.

I see. [And here Sun thought he was the only one with sticky fingers.]

No. If you were missing, I would have searched the city for you. [Her friend Weiss would have helped too, if Blake's last disappearance was any indication.]

[She'll return it, or at least pay him back for it. ... It was an emergency, it doesn't count.]

[And that revelation is more than a little troubling. How could they still be there? Had something been sent back in their place? Still... it was at least a small comfort to know that if she were missing, somebody would be looking for her.]

I shouldn't be surprised. Nothing about this place makes any sense.

Well, you would know better than me. [He'd just arrived at this place and everything, so he had no idea about how it worked or why they had been brought here. Though, he can only imagine what other weirdness this place held if some sort of time displacement thing wasn't weird.]

How are you doing, by the way?

[She blinks. She hadn't had much time to worry about herself with everything that had been going on, with finding her way around, weird weather, monsters and what had happened to Ruby only a few days ago. She'd have to tell him that too.]

Well enough, all things considered. This place is... peaceful, for the most part.

[There were monsters here but they stayed where they belonged, for the most part. Of course, recent events had proven that monsters weren't the only dangers this world had to offer.]

[Peaceful. He was still going to stay on his guard. Especially after the old guy was talking about taking over this place.]

And this weather. [He said motioning to the door.] A common thing?

[She follows his gesture toward the door, shaking her head a bit.]

No, that just started this week.

Um. What about you? How have you been?

[Yeah, he just said he saw her and the others not long ago but it's been longer for her. Humor her a little.]

Aside from coming here in the middle of a blizzard, I've been fine. Still learning the layout of Vale. [And he's gotten more than one fruit vendor mad at him during that time.]

So nothing really to complain about.

[Of that, she has no doubt. Well, now he had a whole new set of fruit vendors to terrorize just as long as he avoided drawing the ire of that new City Guardian.]

That's good to hear.

[And she glances to the side for a moment, one hand coming up to tuck some of her dark hair behind her ear.]

I'm sorry you had to get dragged into this. Especially today.

[He'd have them all angry at him in no time. But he wasn't really going to take any more than he actually needed.]

You don't need to apologize for anything. You know, it's not like you dragged me here or anything. [Timing really could have been better, though.]

Plus, I'm in pretty good company with you.

[If only there were some way to make an honest living out of stowing away and thieving.]

[Another blink and she looks up at him for a second before she smiles faintly.]

So, you're saying you'll keep following me around everywhere I go?

[At least he isn't anywhere near as bad as the White Fang. He gives her a smile.]

Someone has to look after you to make sure you don't get into too much trouble, don't they? [Not that she didn't have her team for that, though but..It's different.]

[Too soon. She rolls her eyes a little, but her smile is still there.]

I could say the same to you.

[Okay, maybe not. She had dragged him into a pretty big mess when they'd first met. She had her team now, true, but... Sun had stuck by her when she wasn't sure she had, even though he'd had every reason not to. She wasn't about to forget that.

It is different.]

[He didn't get involved in anything that he wasn't willing to get involved in. Big mess or not, stopping that criminal activity and trying to get through to their people was the right thing to do.]

I guess me and you are just kind of stuck looking after eachother, then. [Not that he'll complain.]

[And important to her. She was still trying not to think too much about how she might never know what they're doing now, or be able to do anything about it.]

I guess we are.

[She can live with that.]

.. It's good to see you again, Sun. [Circumstances aside.]

It's good to see you as well. [He assumes they will be seeing a lot more of each other thanks to being here in this place.]

[Well, there were still plenty of apartments free on their floor. If he wanted to live around people he knows.]

We should probably get back. There's still a lot to go over.

[She glances out towards the door. She's warmed up and that weather wasn't going anywhere, better to get this over with, as much as she wouldn't mind hiding out in here for awhile longer.]

[Sun gave a little nod and he stood up and waited for her to stand as well.]

Going back the same route that you used in getting here? [Sun would be able to keep up easily enough if they were.]
