Four pancakes

I have come to a decision. I want to open my own place to sell pancakes. I enjoy making them and it is a pleasure to see others enjoy them as well. So I thought, why not? There would be different flavors, seasonal and not, as well as the opportunity to decide your own ingredients and mix flavors.

[He has several things planned. Just...]

I am, however, stuck with what I would name the place. What do you normally call a small restaurant that serves pancakes? I would love to hear your suggestions.

[A pause before he adds.]

Nora's Heaven is not a valid suggestion.

Normally those are called something like a Pancake House or Pancake Cafe or Pancake Restaurant [Sorry, can't hold back from saying that] ...Or then you make your own original name for it which is most likely a much better idea. Either in something in what seems to be the local language or in some other language like Japanese or Chinese or whatever you want to it to be.

If it can't be called Nora's Heaven, then I'm assuming you know someone called Nora and the real question is what types of pancakes does she enjoy the most? Or if there's anything else that you associate with that Nora, that also fits pancakes somehow.

*Faye is pinged by mention of pancakes. She smirks as she answers the question*

Genius. That's what I call it.

House of Flapjacks.

[And yes, this was a joke.]

But in all seriousness, isn't it best to base a name of something connected to you something that you think suits what you want to put across. Like while using pancakes would seem like the obvious choice, maybe think of a creative flair to it.

The Pancakery? Pancakes 'R Us? The Happy Flapjack? Or maybe 'Hi-Diddle Griddle' if you plan to branch out a bit from just pancakes.

Whatever you decide to call it though, I call it a good idea.

Sure is. And people will say, 'Huh, what's that Genius place?' And when they realise it's for pancakes, they'll totally get it.

It was a joke, really. But I am glad that you will be thinking about that approach. I'm sure if you did you'd find something that would really stand out.

I hope so too. There aren't enough good places for breakfast around here, and well, everybody likes pancakes.
