[Waking up in strange places is not something Sumia would say she's used to doing. In fact, she can say for certain that she had fallen asleep in her tent back at camp.

Oh, I hope I'm doing this right and didn't just break it somehow. [Muttering out of the way...] Um, hello! I'm Sumia, and perhaps there's someone who can help out with something. Does "Ylisse" sound familiar to anyone here? O-or maybe the Shep-oof!
[There's a clatter, as things have been dropped and scattered as she was not paying attention to her surroundings. Honestly, that rock just jumped up out of nowhere.
An audible "Oh, horse plop." can be heard before the sound of everything being picked back up, until she eventually comes back into frame for a brief second as Sumia's now turning the phone every which way to make sure it didn't break somehow.
When she's sure it isn't broken...]
Sorry about that! Now, where was I again...? [Pause to think.] Oh, right! While I'm hoping the others didn't get placed here as well, I'm just curious if there's any familiar faces here. Or if there's anyone who happens to know someone who's familiar with Ylisse or the Shepherds. Any kind of help would be most appreciated.

I'm sorry! I really should have learned to pay attention to where I was going after what happened earlier. [And a brief pause as she realizes something.] I didn't break anything, did I? I'll find some way to replace it if I did!

Oh no no, I should have paid more attention! I was kinda blockin' the way too...
[ Andrea didn't hesitate to help Sumia pick her things up from the ground, though she held on to them until Sumia's hands are free ]
Luckily you didn't break anything, so no worries here. New guy, I'm guessin'? You're kinda a long way from the Commonspace if you're here.
[ Not really guessing, given these are starter stuff that every new arrival gets, but words ]
no subject
I mean, waking up in a new place, you kind of have to get the idea of where you're at, right? Especially if it's all foreign to you in almost every way.
[And a double check to make sure nothing was overlooked in the pickup. Be her luck that something was.]
Thanks for the help, by the way, Miss...?
no subject
[ She smiles, extending her arm for a handshake out of habit. Even though a lot of people here don't know what a handshake is ]
But I get'cha, though. I did the same when I got here not too long ago. So... welcome, I guess. I got the lay of the land pretty much already, so if you're heading somewhere I can take you there! Just doing my daily running but I got time to kill.
no subject
[Thankfully, she knows handshakes, reaching out her own to take Andrea's.]
I was heading towards the Commonspace- well, eventually, I mean- but if there's any other key points or places I should keep in mind, the help would be appreciated.

[ She gives Sumia's a firm grip and shake before letting go ]
Your phone has a map of each city, actually. But it can still get hard to navigate things especially in places like Nova. Genessia's easy.
[ Andrea is wearing some running gear, but thankfully she's a fan of pockets so she gets to bring her device. She demonstrates its use to Sumia in case the other woman is more of a visual learner like she is. She walks beside Sumia so the other woman can get a better view of how the device works ]
You access it this way. Push this one, then this one, and bam! See, we're right here. That dot that's blinking on the screen. Key places are displayed there. Liiiiike, the park. A couple of blocks away. The public library is next to it too, so that's two key points!
no subject
It's strange to think that a map can be this small. Though it does make it more accessible, I suppose.
[But, oh! Library is one thing that pings her interests. Oh, what kind of tales will she find there? Tales of fantasy? Maybe even records of some lost history?
...oh. Right. Still getting the tour here. Book thoughts can be done later.]
So, park and library, got it.
[And she goes quiet to think over what she had read earlier after her arrival, then speaks up once more.]
I remember the information I woke up with mentioning something about seeking employment at some point. [Gods help whoever she ends up working for.] Are there any businesses that I should keep an eye on?
no subject
[ Andrea scratches her head lightly, looking at Sumia from top to bottom. She's armed and armored, so that means Fayren and combat experienced. She hums in thought ]
Fayren may be the place for ya. I work there as a hunter. I can show you the employment office and help you find a job there if that's what you wanna do now, so you don't worry about it later.
no subject
I'd like that! I mean, I wasn't really the best back home, but if it means it helps others here, I'll do my best.
"Sumia, it's Robin! I was wondering when you'd show up! There's a few of us from Ylisse who've been dragged here, but Gods' know if any more might end up here. But for now, do you mind telling me what you last remember, before coming here? I've been...taking some notes on what all of us remember. Just in case."
Odd statement, yes. But she had to make sure everyone that showed up from back home was the same. Or, perhaps if they weren't, at least try to figure out where everyone stands with regards to time. She can't help but laugh a little bit, but not really in a mean-spirited way...
"...Do you need some help, by the way? I'm only a new arrival, here, myself and place is fairly confusing to folk like us, I guess. I only know my way around, a little, but I think I can help you find where you're supposed to go."
no subject
"Robin, you too? And who else?"
There's a bit of a visual and audible sigh from the pegasus knight. She's both relieved but also slightly disappointed that a familiar face is around, with the possibility of others. Despite her asking, Sumia had been hoping none of the others got caught up in all this.
But Robin's question is kind of a strange thing to hear. Then again, given who it was that asked, she's not really going to question it.
"Last thing I remember was the final preparations for tomorrow's- Would it still be considered tomorrow's battle? I mean, if we were pulled here, does time still go on without us there?"
Oh wait, getting a bit off topic there.
"A-anyways, it was the final day before we were supposed to take on Grima."
But there's a smile being plastered on Sumia's face at the last question. Confusion is just the start of everything, but having someone else, especially someone familiar, to help out with it is something she's grateful for at the current time.
"Help would be amazing, thanks! I remember reading something about a Commonplace and thinking that would be a good starting point. Perhaps you could point me in the direction there to start things off?"
She fumbles a bit with the machine, herself. Clearly, she isn't quite used to it and she's trying to hold it like one of her spell tomes. She quickly taps out a little message to herself before sending her the directions, though the whole process takes her about a minute.
"...Blasted machine. Anyway...Even now, it seems like I'm guiding you around. It's an odd feeling, but one I don't really mind. It's some small comfort. I'll meet you at this street over here, this odd device will tell you if you're going astray. It speaks, sometimes. There's stores with food around this district of town and they've got hot meals at the Commons. I've heard you can't stay there, forever, though. It's mainly for people who haven't already made a home for themselves."
The directions should pop up in a second! Robin's directed her to a street corner a little ways away from the Commons. There seems to be little shops and places to get food nearby, too.
Despite being so helpful, Robin ends up taking a small, awkward pause...
"...Just so you know, there's more I ought to tell you. I'm...a little ahead of you. When I'm from, we've already taken on Grima. I don't want to mess up your sense of time by telling you much else, but maybe it's a small mercy you've been snatched up before most of this took place."
She takes a moment to think this over. This 'Genessia' and 'time' were a bit of an odd couple.
"And...no, I don't know how this place works in terms of time, but I'm assuming no. At least, I hope not. We have no real way of knowing and I wouldn't want to come back and have to fight Grima again - this time, outmanned and outarmed. For your peace of mind, I'm not sure you should think too hard on it."
She shivers a little at the mere suggestion that her efforts could be for naught if she went back. But...how to get back is the real question. And where was...'here' anyway?
video > action indeed!
"Well, that's certainly handy. If maps were like this back home, it would help with lessening the load of things we carry around..."
She trails off after hearing Robin's own recounting of events. While she was curious about the outcome of the battle, it wouldn't do her any good in case it were to change once they all got placed back.
"Well, I won't push for details! Won't do much good here anyways, right?"
And the concept of time shenanigans is already being pushed out as she looks at the directions she was given once more. Oh, how she wish she had her pegasus right now, but oh well, she'll get by.
"I suppose I should put these directions to use then!"
And hopefully without further incidents.
Action it is!
She waves Sumia down when the pegasus knight comes into her view! Though if Sumia got into any trouble along the way again, she wouldn't be surprised.
"Over here! Did you make it here, alright?"
She's motioning to what seems like a tea shop or a cafe of sorts. While tea houses weren't uncommon back home, none were as unusual as the ones around here. She looks slightly agitated...or possibly excited, and slips into explanation mode once more.
"...There's so much food here, and all of it's relatively inexpensive. Someone told me there's a shop that sells a thing called 'pizza' as well and it's apparently a delicacy. On the other hand, I've staked out this tea place, but you're free to pick anywhere interesting - especially if it's food neither of us know about."
That'd be virtually everything, Robin. You ask too much. Once she calms down somewhat, she adds...
"If anything's on your mind, I'll be glad to lessen that burden, some. It's the best I can do, considering the circumstances."
no subject
..which is made much more easier with said tactician having called out to her. With a short pause to straighten herself out somewhat, Sumia took to making her way over.
"It was, uh... It could have been worse, I suppose."
Well, she didn't break anything she had on the way. Or break anything of anyone else's. And she arrived all in one piece! Minus being a bit out of sorts given the whole situation, so that has to count for something.
And as interesting as that "pizza", or the idea of trying unknown foods, sounds, Sumia shakes her head a bit. She honestly wouldn't even know where to start, so something simple and familiar is probably the best route she can choose at this moment.
"Tea sounds fine! For now, at least."
Tea is calming. And calming is what she definitely needs. Though she does stop to think over what she could ask about. There was just so much, but maybe something somewhat easy to get out of the way.
"I guess anything I should know about when it comes to this place. Based on what you know, of course!"
[Action]
[Color them surprised as the pegasus knight literally stumbled into them, causing them to lose their footing before catching it easily enough from the run in. Immediately 'Marth' bent down to help pick up any items that were dropped before straightening up again to offer a hand.]
You're fine, these devices are very durable. Are you okay though?
no subject
[It takes a bit, but the familiarity this stranger she quite literally just ran into has with her finally hits Sumia. And then the familiarity of the person's voice. And when she actually looks to see who it is... Well, she's definitely surprised.]
...Lucina? Just how many of us are here? [Oh, right. Outstretched hand. She should probably be taking that to help herself up a bit.] Thanks, and sorry. Again.
[And that's a sigh of relief from her. Finally, something that won't possibly break every time her clumsiness decided to hit.]
It would seem like they are, especially given this is the second time I've dropped everything since arriving. If only things were made like these back home.
no subject
So far Robin has made it along with Olivia and Libra. Libra has been here way before I arrived and Olivia and Robin came after I have. It seems as if you just arrived though.
[There was a soft smile on their lips.]
This technology would be nice to bring back to Ylisse. How long have you been here by the way? Did you need any help or anything? You're always welcomed at my apartment as well.
[She had since decided that since her father wasn't here it was her responsibility to make sure the Shepards were doing okay and to attend to any needs.]
no subject
It's weird to think that people I just saw moments ago were also brought here, some earlier than others.
Just arrived, I'm afraid. And definitely in need of any and all help. [At the mention of the apartment, she stops to think briefly.] I wouldn't want to impose on you so early, but I'll keep the offer in mind.
no subject
[Lucina was trying their hardest to make sure Sumia felt at ease, they counted their blessings they found a job and housing so easily seemingly right after they arrived.]
If you don't mind me asking, what was happening right before you came here?
no subject
Not at all! It was the final night of preparations before our battle with Grima. [She pauses to think briefly before speaking up again.] If you also don't mind, could I ask the same of you?
no subject
[Hence the mask they had been wearing when they met.]
no subject
[Gods, talk about a blast from the past. Literally, in her case.]
Well, I guess that explain the mask. [But if Lucina is still wearing the mask here, then maybe...] Would you rather I refer to you as "Marth" here, or does it not matter?
no subject
Just...If you see Chrom, could you not mention that I'm here? Until we find out when he's from?
Video
[If "Lethe" is a secret identity then why did he...]
Anyway, I'm sure they'll be happy to fill you in and put you in with the rest of the flock. Now, how do you spell "Sumia"?
Video
I can't say that I know either of them, but I'll be sure to keep them in mind at least!
[...well that's a strange thing to ask, but what the heck.]
It's S-u-m-i-a.
Re: Video
[Or dramatic, which is practically the same thing.]
Ahh! Means "one who listens." You must have very fine ears.
no subject
[But that bit about her name has her thinking a bit before replying.]
I suppose I do. I mean, I tend to read more than anything, but I listen pretty closely to things as well.
no subject
[L-O-L]
That's a kind of reception, which should do just as well. Who else is associated with those lands...I'll list a few to see who rings any bells:
Takumi, Ranulf, Leo, Xander, Corrin, Azura, Elise. Any sound familiar to your finely-tuned ears?
no subject
Unless they happened to be villagers we came across during our travels, I'm afraid none of those names are familiar.
[And thinking.]
Were there any other names, perhaps? It's possible that I might recognize at least one.
no subject
Still, those will be a fine list of people to catch up with, eh? Aught else you've need of?
no subject
And I agree! [And a brief pause to think.] I can't say there's much else, but I definitely do appreciate your help! [And another pause as she just realizes something.] I don't believe I actually caught your name.
no subject
[He keeps forgetting that.]
Oh! Pardon; I'm Ted. Good luck and godspeed in your socializing.
action;
[He smiled slightly, he knew it wasn't really just there fault. he had ended up looking into a nearby restaurant window just to check it out and forgot where he had been. Really it was a busy time of the day, it was never really a smart idea to do.]
But I am going to guess you are new. [He was soon kneeling down helping to pick up things, putting them neatly back into the bag.] I mean I could be wrong and if I am, I'm sorry.
no subject
[Really. She had offered to replace anything, but still, unfamiliar place, unfamiliar currency. She hadn't really thought it through until just now.
But a brief pause as she double checked everything, making sure nothing was overlooked.]
It's that obvious, isn't it? [Another check. Well, everything seemed in place, nothing seemed broken on her end either.] I am, actually. Just arrived not too long ago.
no subject
Yeah, but it's not a bad thing. I mean, it's normal for people to not know where to go when they first arrive. So long as you don't get too lost.
[Like he has done a few times.]
Then you'd need to ask for help.
no subject
[There's a weak laugh as she finishes, before realizing something.]
Oh, but where are my manners? I appreciate the help, Mister...?
no subject
[He smiled slightly before bowing for a moment.]
Allen. My name is Allen Walker. It's nice to meet you, miss.
