This is a message for the "South Attleton Safety Society."

Fuck off. Using powers for personal gain falls under assault and is already covered by the legal code. I'm not going to outlaw people being born a certain way. Hell, if I'm being brutally honest here, the demon license I implemented was aimed primarily at one person.

Also, any heckling of or otherwise interfering with people based on some stupid notion of 'normies vs power' is going to be classified as disturbing the peace, and my deputies will arrest and fine you.

Attleton doesn't need civilians playing soldier out of boredom. Go back to making stupid complaints to my office about garden gnomes and flamingos.

I get that. What I don't get is why they want to deprive people of ways to protect others in an emergency. Every person has the right to self-defense.

And it's not like bad people with special abilities will listen to a law that outlaws them.

It only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. I enacted a law about having to have a license in Attleton to use demonic originating powers, despite being half demon myself, because someone had less sense than they should've and thought it'd be a good idea to give a demonic wasp moth thing to a kid as a pet. The kid ended up getting possessed and almost attacked civilians.

If I hadn't done anything, people would've been looking over their shoulders all the time for fear of some demon showing up out of nowhere to try and eat them. The license was primarily for show, though I am keeping tabs on everyone with similar powers so as to avoid a similar situation.

That said, it's my job to put people who want to step on others in their place, and I'm very good at it.

Right. I think that was what I was trying to get at. Attleton already has people looking out for the safety of the populace. There's the whole Guardian system, native law enforcement, and bounty hunters that can come and help when things get rough.

[Speaking of which, Shirou has been meaning to apply for a bounty hunter's license. It wouldn't be his main source of income, but it would be a way to profit off of his abilities and his motivations -- especially for Rin's and Kiritsugu's sakes. And, of course, it would keep him out of legal trouble for his heroics.

Has anything else like that happened in Attleton?

Nah, Attleton's pretty tame like that. The closest we've come is the mafia here but we're pretty on top of that.

There's a mafia there? It doesn't seem like a place that would have to deal with a mob like that.

It's nothing that pressing. It's not like they're killing people or pushing drugs on kids. It's been more minor protection rackets and gambling and the like.

That's still more than I would have expected.

Are there ever bounties to go deal with them?

There haven't been in quite a while. Can't say for certain whether or not there's never been bounties regarding them, but I tend to prefer to deal with them personally. They can't really do much to me.
