[As Nikola turns on his device, it's not hard to see he's out a cafe somewhere in Genessia City sipping a drink that.. he's not a hundred percent sure he even likes. But, he was curious about all this pumpkin spice nonsense and might just be regretting it a little.]

I've noticed recently that most of the cities save for Everglade have become.. rather festive. However, I don't have the slightest idea why.

[He sets his mug down and sighs.]

And I'm rather sure I don't like pumpkin spice now that I've tried it. Now, please, can some one tell me why most of the cities seem to be celebrating monsters, torture, blood and gore? I'm afraid I don't understand even if it does uncomfortably remind me of someone I knew once.

I'm starting to see that when it comes to pumpkins. Some of the pastries I've tasted were fine but... I don't think it belongs in coffee or latte's.

[He's tried them all. Nikola can honestly say he's not a huge fan.]

However, I have never heard of this 'Halloween' before. We don't have in on my world so I'm afraid, I don't quite understand why Monsters are celebrated in this manner.

It's... a little mocking truth be told.

Sure, it's supposed to be mocking. Dressing up like spirits to mock them so they leave us alone.

That was the idea, once upon a time. Now it's just an excuse to get drunk and for girls and guys to flaunt themselves in tiny costumes.

*Faye shrugs, not the biggest fan of Halloween herself*

[And to him that makes even less sense.]

So, something that was meant to.. honor and mock Monsters has now turned into a time for drunken orgies?

I'm not sure I understand the progression of this supposed Holiday.

That's pretty much how it goes.

I mean, if you're a kid there's a bit more to it than that, and it's a time for jokes and fun or whatever.

*Again she pouts a little and shrugs - Faye doesn't have much of a handle on what nice, normal people get up to*

Guess you can choose which way you wanna celebrate.

Then.. it is a holiday for children and the adults just make the best of what they can?

[That might make a little more sense? This is pretty new to him so...]

I guess I shall just have find a way that's suitable for me to celebrate this holiday properly then if there's all different ways.

Yeah. I guess that sounds about right - fun for everyone!

Mhm. I'm sure someone will be hosting events for you to join in. Then you'll just have to think what to dress up as...

Wait, dress up? As in, how? I'm no stranger to a fine tailored suit but, I am not sure exactly what kind of dressing up I might need to do for some hosted event..

But for Halloween, the idea is that you dress as something scary or creepy - like a ghost, a zombie, a vampire...that kind of thing.

[He paused for a moment as a slightly amused look appeared on his features.]

My dear, Kindred in my world dress similarly to what I do.

*At that Faye pauses, and at least looks a little embarrassed at what she's said. She knows there are vampires here, but she's pretty sure she hasn't met one*

You would be correct. Why my world calls kindred, you would refer to as a 'vampire'.

To dress as one would merely mean I would wear a suit as I normally do.

And you would look very handsome, I'm sure...

But back home, dressing as a vampire, or kindred, means all black, a cape, fangs... That kinda thing.

*She stops before she mentions blood in case that is too offensive*

Of course I would. Appearing proper is always a good indication of one's intent I find.

[His intent is merely to learn so... who knows if he actually comes off as nice as he actually is.]

...I can't think of any kindred that dresses like that. Where did that belief come from?

*Yeah, she was maybe being a little sarcastic there with that comment*

I have no idea, to be honest. Movies, I guess? Old illustrations from novels?

But of course.

[Despite her sarcasm, he finds this amusing.]

If that is the case, perhaps I should expand my interests and research to include such things as these movies and novels. I have to admit, now I'm just simply curious.

I can't lie - vampire stories are not my favourite, but I'm sure if you asked around there will be fans here who can let you know.

Besides, a vampire dressed as a vampire for Halloween would be pretty cute.

Then I may just do that.

[He means ask around. However, her idea of cute sounds faintly amusing to him.]

Then I suppose I shall take that costume suggestion into consideration.

Then you should go for it. I think you'd look adorable indeed.

[Nikola chuckled softly at the fact that she might find him adorable in such an outfit.]

With a recommendation such as that, I may have to take it under more serious consideration.

Isn't that sweet?
