[It had been a few days since his return, and after gathering more information and getting a better handle on what had transpired in his absence, Vlad appears on the network looking not pleased. There was a meeting he needed to set up, and he wasn't sure just how this was going to go down but this needed to happen.]
Belmont. I know you're here. We need to speak. Come to the gateway outside Castlevania at dusk.
[The tone was not one that would allow for argument, and as soon as he says his piece, he ends the feed. Come dusk, he would be standing - alone - outside the gateway, Castlevania behind him but firmly within Everglade's realm. Time to see just how much of a war Belmont was wanting.]

[What the fuck?! There's no turning the Count down now is there?
Despite telling Alucard that they ought to wait things out, Dracula calls him out in public. Since this is most likely going to end bloodily, Trevor wisely makes a quick stop at Cloak & Dagger to fetch some new provisions. Shit is about to get real and Trevor might as well be ready for it. He doesn't put it past Dracula to attack him. He just knows that bastard wants him dead and the feeling is mutual.
After getting as many supplies he could, Trevor arrives at the gateway as told. The hunter stands there defiantly with his right hand resting on the hilt of his whip. He has his sword with him as well but the Vampire Killer has better reach. If he's going to die, he might as well die fighting, right? Trevor is more than ready.]
You know, you're not half as tall as people say.

I will ignore that for now. But I trust you are familiar with this place's relation to time, or rather, the lack of relation, correct? It has been 400 years since I last had the displeasure of looking upon your face, Trevor Belmont, and in that time I've crossed paths with your descendants, Juste, Simon, and Richter. Needless to say your little crusade ends largely in futility.
[He's going to pause for a moment, letting that settle with Trevor, and hopefully demoralize the hunter.]
Whatever you think your duty is regarding me, you will keep your grudge firmly focused on me. My daughters did not inherit our war and have no stake in it, do I make myself clear, Belmont?

Despite the invite, Trevor doesn't expect Dracula to keep his word. Why the fuck should he? This moody old bastard proven that he's a monster in every sense of the word. Many have died because of this self-righteous prick standing before him with that judgmental frown. It's his fault that the innocent suffer so cruelly thanks to his legion of demons.
So how dare this fuck ask for asylum for his family of monsters when he gave none to others. Trevor's grips the hilt of his whip tightly. Of all the bullshit...]
Let me get this straight---[He's damn near growling.] You mean to say my descendants took to slaying your miserable ass throughout the decades and you still want to erase humanity's existence?
[Yeah, no. That attempt to demoralize the Belmont didn't work.]
It's a crying shame I couldn't nail your casket shut but I'm sure one of my children could. [Trevor sneers.] I bet they will.
Your days are outnumbered, monster. Humanity will not live in fear because of you.
[He takes a breath as if to calm the fire within.]
You're lucky I'm a better man than you'll ever be. I wouldn't involve the innocent to pay for your crimes unlike what you've done to our homeland.

There are no innocents in Wallachia, you should know that better than most. They took a doctor who's only crime was bettering the lives of all those around her and burned her at the stake as a witch. They cheered as died in excruciating pain.
They hole up in their cities, behind their walls, turning a deaf ear to those slaughtered outside their arbitrary boundaries. And the one family that was dedicated to combating the 'evil' plaguing their land was driven out, slaughtered, and their estate burned to the ground.
So tell me, Trevor Belmont of Clan Belmont. Where are the innocents you speak of?

What do you fucking care about my family? [He nearly growls through gritted teeth.] Had that "evil" from which you speak of never existed, we wouldn't find ourselves here.
[Trevor takes a breath. He needs to calm down.]
Look. [His tone is somewhat calmer now, more diplomatic. Trevor isn't all brawn and no brains.] Your wife, she was a good person. A good woman with a kind heart. She didn't deserve to be burned at the stake. In fact, most of the so called "heretics" didn't deserve to die.
[He let's out a sigh.]
The same goes for my family who prided themselves in protecting Wallachia from all manner of horrors. However---
[His gaze narrows.]
You took it too far.
[Trevor looks directly at the vampire, his gray gaze locked on with his.]
Did you think your wife had no allies? Did you think none of them cared?! The Church ruled Wallachia through fear! Not everyone could've possibly believed that your wife was some kind of heathen. Hell, I don't even believe that! Meeting Alucard alone convinced me of the truth but even before him, I knew that the Church was wrong but all you managed to prove in the hour of her death is the limits of your villainy.
[Is it sinking in, Dracula? Is it finally sinking in?]
What is done cannot be undone! How many more of our countrymen need to die before your vengeance is quelled? [A rhetorical question at best.] Don't you think I've felt the same as you? I hated the bloody Church for years, Dracula, but never once did I allow for innocent babies to be eaten alive in their cribs!
[Trevor let's out a sigh of disgust. This conversation is worse than any battle.]
Let me ask you, does your vengeance apply for those here in Genessia? Will you harm them in Wallachia's stead?

[Despite not being Matthias Cronqvist, he couldn't help but feel a little bit of the twisted admiration that Cronqvist held for Leon Belmont.]
And you didn't take it far enough! Your family, your clan, was run out of its ancestral lands, lands held since before I was created and what did you do? You tucked your tail like a beast and sought solace in the mud and filth.
As for her allies, they all abandoned her as soon as the Church made its intentions clear. The Church only holds power because nobody stood up to them and put them in check. Not God, not the Belmonts, not the noble families of Wallachia. Only I seemed to have a backbone in that wretched country.
There are no innocents. Not in Wallachia, not here. Besides, this place has given me all the reasons to bring my war here. So long as my hatred fuels my war, my daughters are made safe, as are you, hunter.
