[Action AND Video] A Siren's Call (Halloween!)
[Cut to Dove sitting in the sand, clinging to the sweater pulled tightly closed over chest, her expression absolutely panicked, and her tail clearly visible from where she lays in the surf.]
Why the hell am I a fish?!
((ooc: Action prompts below the cut!))
[ACTION-Fayren Beach]
With the shoot from the morning successfully wrapped and the crew packed away, Dove is free to go as she pleases once she’s wrapped up in her own clothing once more. It’s chilly down by the water, but she politely turns away offers to grab drinks and dinner with the rest of the crew and her fellow models, opting instead to visit with the ocean at her own leisure, without distraction. It’s been too long since she’s had a moment with it, and now that she understands the draw of it’s Light, she’s all the more eager to stay, even as the beach grows quieter.
Sweater wrapped loosely about her shoulders, she makes her way down the beach, enjoying the sand beneath her feet as the sun sets on the horizon. It’s so calm now, and there’s a quiet, contemplative smile on her face even as the landscape grows dark. She knows she should be going, watching the subtle glowing marks on her skin die away as she decides to head home and thinking nothing of it until her legs stop moving. A sudden, strange sensation creeps up her calves from the water’s touch, and she suddenly finds herself on her knees as the change takes over and a bright light nearly blinds her.
….it’s only a few moments later that she’s left staring at the long, glittering, rose gold tail that’s replaced her legs.
Anyone along the beach is likely to hear her surprised yelp and see the absolute shock on her face. ]
[ACTION- Cafe in Genessia City, Nova City, or the Library]
[It might be a rather odd sight to see a celebrity sitting alone at a table, surrounded by a scattering of papers, books, and her tablet, frantically pouring over content on Sirens and Mermaids. She certainly looks a little too desperate to just be researching a role, and there’s no denying those feet bouncing anxiously as she studies…
She’ll just be staying as dry as possible for now, thanks…]
[ACTION-mostly Fayren's beaches, but potentially other watery places as well]
[When she’s finally come to terms with the fact her wings are gone and she’s stuck with a tail instead, Dove can be found hesitantly standing at the water’s edge in the earlier days of the week, careful not to let her feet get wet and taking deep breaths until she’s ready to try it all again. Later on in the week, however, one might find her taking it all in and making the best of the situation, poised delicately atop one of the rocks out from the shore in the daylight, enjoying the warmth of the sun reflecting off her scales and the breeze in her hair. More comfortable now, she’s forgone the sweater… it’s not a siren thing, but her hair’s long enough to keep her…modest enough for a siren.
When she’s feeling playful and spots someone she knows, she may follow alongside their path in the water, waiting for an opportune moment to break through the surface to surprise them.
In the evenings, she’ll be watching the moon, enjoying the tranquil ebb and flow of the water against her rock and singing softly along with the roll of the waves. Her voice, at least, remains the same, though her Siren’s tune is a little more hauntingly enchanting than her Angel’s soothing song.
