[Action AND Video] A Siren's Call (Halloween!)
[Cut to Dove sitting in the sand, clinging to the sweater pulled tightly closed over chest, her expression absolutely panicked, and her tail clearly visible from where she lays in the surf.]
Why the hell am I a fish?!
((ooc: Action prompts below the cut!))
[ACTION-Fayren Beach]
With the shoot from the morning successfully wrapped and the crew packed away, Dove is free to go as she pleases once she’s wrapped up in her own clothing once more. It’s chilly down by the water, but she politely turns away offers to grab drinks and dinner with the rest of the crew and her fellow models, opting instead to visit with the ocean at her own leisure, without distraction. It’s been too long since she’s had a moment with it, and now that she understands the draw of it’s Light, she’s all the more eager to stay, even as the beach grows quieter.
Sweater wrapped loosely about her shoulders, she makes her way down the beach, enjoying the sand beneath her feet as the sun sets on the horizon. It’s so calm now, and there’s a quiet, contemplative smile on her face even as the landscape grows dark. She knows she should be going, watching the subtle glowing marks on her skin die away as she decides to head home and thinking nothing of it until her legs stop moving. A sudden, strange sensation creeps up her calves from the water’s touch, and she suddenly finds herself on her knees as the change takes over and a bright light nearly blinds her.
….it’s only a few moments later that she’s left staring at the long, glittering, rose gold tail that’s replaced her legs.
Anyone along the beach is likely to hear her surprised yelp and see the absolute shock on her face. ]
[ACTION- Cafe in Genessia City, Nova City, or the Library]
[It might be a rather odd sight to see a celebrity sitting alone at a table, surrounded by a scattering of papers, books, and her tablet, frantically pouring over content on Sirens and Mermaids. She certainly looks a little too desperate to just be researching a role, and there’s no denying those feet bouncing anxiously as she studies…
She’ll just be staying as dry as possible for now, thanks…]
[ACTION-mostly Fayren's beaches, but potentially other watery places as well]
[When she’s finally come to terms with the fact her wings are gone and she’s stuck with a tail instead, Dove can be found hesitantly standing at the water’s edge in the earlier days of the week, careful not to let her feet get wet and taking deep breaths until she’s ready to try it all again. Later on in the week, however, one might find her taking it all in and making the best of the situation, poised delicately atop one of the rocks out from the shore in the daylight, enjoying the warmth of the sun reflecting off her scales and the breeze in her hair. More comfortable now, she’s forgone the sweater… it’s not a siren thing, but her hair’s long enough to keep her…modest enough for a siren.
When she’s feeling playful and spots someone she knows, she may follow alongside their path in the water, waiting for an opportune moment to break through the surface to surprise them.
In the evenings, she’ll be watching the moon, enjoying the tranquil ebb and flow of the water against her rock and singing softly along with the roll of the waves. Her voice, at least, remains the same, though her Siren’s tune is a little more hauntingly enchanting than her Angel’s soothing song.

Very soon, Dove would be encountering a darker Siren with a black tattered tail, markings and black hair. Li was watching her curiously as she allowed the waves to take her to the shore and just observed the lighter colored Siren.]

It takes her a minute of staring before she slowly recognizes the other.]
....Li?

Yeah, it's me. Nice tail by the way. At least this time I know I'm not the only one of my kind around. There's at least two of us and who knows if there's more.

[It was a joke and it was obvious as he grinned slightly, small horns on his head though with the way he had styled his hair they weren't as obvious. His normal brown eyes were a light red.]

What the... Are you-?
[Those are a demon's eyes, she's sure of it, but she knows Kaoru, even if they haven't spent much time together. He hadn't been a demon before... had he?]
no subject
[He just shrugs it off for the most part. It was new and surprising to start with, but it was giving him a little bit of experience to what the world had to offer.]
I assume the world decided to do the joke and make me a demon. I was called the devilish type back home, so it's quite amusing.

Do you need help, Dove?
Shower Text!
Especially as she can't stand or even bend well enough from the confines of her glass-walled shower floor to turn the water off.
Stupid tail!!!]
Ah... if you're not busy...

Just... don't be frightened by my current appearance.

[Gale's looking a bit different himself, what with the curled horns on his head, the red eyes and a set of leathery blackish-purple wings. He's a tad annoyed that it's ruined another shirt, but at least his coat got away unscathed.]
Don't panic, doll. This is kinda tradition in October at this point. It'll prolly last a week or so.

Why the sudden influx of demon friends when she doesn't even have her Archangel Gifts?!
It takes her a second, both to recover from the shock and to remember that he's been here a long while.]
So this has happened here before?
[She's hopeful. So hopeful.]
no subject
Yup, three years in a row. Last year it was just folks that were in Nova City after a certain time, but the first year and this one seems to be all 'round.
So don't fuss too much, now. Genessia's gettin' a tad predictable in October.

[Closed - Styxx/early in the week]
For a while, she just rests, lazily watching the sun rise and glitter across the surface of the water until she pushes herself up and digs into the pocket of her sweater for her phone. Finding it still somewhat charged, she sends her friend a quick text:]
Training on the beach this morning? A change of scenery might do us both some good.
[She would, of course, wait for him there, poised atop her rock with her face toward the sun and a comfortable peace settled across her shoulders.]
Re: [Closed - Styxx/early in the week]
Sure
[It's short but then again, he didn't know what else to say under the circumstance. When he finally arrives to see Dove, he smiles, though he's sporting a new set of horns, large leathery wings, and claws today as he looks very much like a demon. Even his eyes are bright red almost like blood.]
Sorry that I'm late.
no subject
...Oddly enough, when he arrives, she doesn't seem to mind his tardiness all that much. His new look, however, draws a surprised scream from her lips and sends her straight down into the water again, sweater and all.]

Swimming to the surface, he gasped and brought himself to the sand where she was]
It's okay. You're near the ocean, everything's going to be just fine.

[Lea's eyes do indeed now have red irises and bright yellow sclera, while his hair shifts and flickers like real fire.
His tone also sounds uncharacteristically annoyed with Dove, though he seems to realize this a moment later and sighs.]
Sorry. This whatever it is that I've turns into apparently makes it so I get angry way too easily.
You OK, aside from being turned into a mermaid?
no subject
No, no... you're fine.... I guess so? I just... don't have... legs...
[Nope. Not going to panic. Nope nope nope.]
Are you okay?

Action Fayren Beaches
[Seth had run into Dove later in the week, lounging on one of the rocks along the shore. He takes a moment to let his pale golden eyes appreciate her form before climbing up the rock and taking a seat at her side.]
I've met a few mermaids but you're by far the most beautiful.
[He's teasing, just a little bit.]
Enjoying the sun? or just trying to hook handsome young men with your voice?
no subject
I'm starting to think I like this form... Not sure I want to change back with all these handsome young men constantly giving me compliments.
[She'll just continue to gladly soak them up. Being a Siren was a little more freeing than she might have ever expected.]
