[Among the network posts of unusual creatures appearing comes this of what looks to be a relatively normal human male, in his mid-forties with graying temples. His voice and gestures are reminiscent of the alien cyborg that people are more used to seeing but the electronic edge is missing. He makes it clear who has been transformed with his opening words.]

This is Deputy Guardian of Nova City General Grievous. Do not be alarmed by my appearance.

It seems that there is something going on throughout the cities. An anomaly changing people into things that they are not. Panic is not advised.

The source of this must be found and everyone will be restored.

[He looks about so say something else but instead a strained expression crosses his now human face and with a small shake of his head, he cuts the feed.]

Apparently this place considers humans spooky costumes. [ And she is amused by the very thought. ]

This sort of thing seems to happen every year, and things go back to normal all the same.

The message is appreciated but useless for my mission to find The Shadow. But it is appreciated.

What is this Shadow?

A noble one that introduced Darkness to Light, that warded away the Great Serpent of Hate, that divided itself to make Draconics to protect those born of Light like humans.

The Shadow knows all. The Shadow would know of this.

The Shadow is Omnipotent and Omnipresent. There are pieces in all living creatures. The Shadow must be here and home.

The Shadow is the only solution. They are Darkness.

If they are everywhere then you have already found them.

I think in time everything will be back to normal. So there really isn't a need to look for the source.

How can you be certain?

Because when it happened two years ago, it soon passed.

Plus I heard it went on last year to in one of the cities, which I didn't go to, or if I did it wasn't something memorable.

That does not mean that this is caused by the same source or will have the same effects.

I don't know what the source is, I just know it seems to happen always on October around the holiday Halloween.

Why is that?

I don't know. I guess the whole holiday of Halloween is scary things like monsters. So it would make sense in that way.

Actually, you frankly look a good bit less alarming than usual, at least from a human perspective. But I can understand why you'd want to get back to normal.

I'll be looking into this in Genessia City too, to see if anything can be done.

Exactly why I said you look less alarming now. Though I guess appearances could be deceiving, since I don't think these transformations take away any knowledge or skill you might have.

My other body was built for combat. This is not.

Which is where the skill comes in. I mean, anybody can be dangerous when they basically have the body of a multi-armed killer robot. But being dangerous as a human takes practice.

Though some really sharp weapons don't hurt either.

Might as well enjoy it while you can! Your form now isn't half-bad; maybe try dancing and romancing a woman or two, now that you won't scare any off, hahaha.
