[That evening  a  song  drifts over the network followed by the view of a dark siren .  Unlike others that might be freaking out about this new change, Li was overjoyed by it! She was a creature meant to take different forms, even if this wasn't her original one, she was still thrilled she had one that was water bound and it showed in her voice as she sang, adding power to her voice to call others like her to where she was in Fayren, So far, she's only met one other siren and that gave her hope for there being others as she poured her desire to meet them into her song and hoped that they would heed her call. If not... at least she met one other siren and that would just have to be enough.]

[That night found Li on the shores of Fayren, waiting as her song was broadcast through the network and the surrounding area.  Moonlight made the dark siren visible against the night as she rested on a rock, half in the water, half out as it played against her pale skin and dark hair. Li was being patient and really hoped that for once, she wasn't alone. 

Her call was meant for other sirens but, who knows.. it might have pulled in more than Sirens...Li wasn't exactly an expert in this area of magic since it's far different from how she operated as a Kelpie.]

[Gellert is drawn to her song - and by the simple fact that she is a friend. He lands on the shore, stretching out his white feathery wings. He isn't wearing much - a loose skirt or kilt made of white fabric wrapped around his waist and a golden necklace in the shape of a sword hanging against his bare chest. He beams at her and he exudes a strange sense of peace and contentment.]

What a lovely voice you have.

[Li looked up when she heard the sound of wings and became still in the water until she recognized who it was.]

Gellert!

[She's grinning as she's diving into the water and quickly swimming to shore with a flash of her black tail with its tattered fins. Very soon she's walking out of the water as she willed her fins to become legs as if the very notion was second nature to her. Which, incidentally.. it was. Nor did she care that she was completely nude with black markings along her hips, sides and arms which seemed to be mirroring the ones of her body in the water. Even her hair was black instead of the faded sandy blonde that it had been before this particular change.]

Thanks. I guess for while, I'm a siren instead of a kelpie. Not to far off, but.. close enough for now.

[Where he was exuding a sense of peace and contentment, Li was excited, happy and just feeling better than she has in a long time.]

[He isn't shy. Once she's out of the water, he holds open his arms, ready to tuck her close. His protective nature has taken on a sweeter edge, free of bitterness and suspicion.]

I think it suits you. [Her smile is something he knows he will miss, but he gives his golden head a shake, putting those regrets in the back of his mind.] A dark mane suits you.

[Meanwhile Gellert is as golden as ever - and maybe a little tan. He has always had a somewhat angelic appearance despite his mad smiles and madder actions.]

[Li didn't have any issue running into his arms and being tucked in close. She was just too happy with this sudden change and pressed her forehead against him in a pretty trusting equine manner despite being a siren at that moment. Some instincts were hard to break, even now and Li would always be a Kelpie at her core.]

Thanks.. I'm supposed to have a black mane. It faded out over the centuries from the sun.

[So not only was she something close to what she originally was, but, she had her color back. Another reason why she's happy. While he was golden and tan, Li was dark and pale as moonlight, a good contrast against him. Eventually she pulled back enough to study his wings.]

[He laughs and his eyes sparkle with pure, unfettered joy. She will be tucked close - nice and safe - and he will rest his forehead against her own. If he thinks about it, he has been concerned about her since the moment he realized he had wings. But this is a welcome surprise.]

You'll have it back soon. [Gellert presses a kiss to her brow, running a hand over her mane. She is beautiful and strong. Even so, he gives her a solemn frown.] I promise.

[Grinning suddenly, he gives his wings a nice fluff.]

I woke with them! The urge to fly was overwhelming and I can manage it in short bursts.

[ When the sun fell, it didn't take Konoka long to realize what was happening--forced transformations, the panicked cries of those who hadn't been here for very long, or had embarrassing situations. At the least her transformation, despite its initial shock, had given her a very... interesting set of powers.

But after having her fill of discovery (and some mischief), Konoka picks up a voice. A song. And with it, a desire to see its source. It wasn't far from where she was, just among Fayren's beaches, and it doesn't take the human turned kitsune to follow the source of singing and find it. ]

Oh! A mermaid!

[ Konoka's voice is one of quiet awe. Despite hearing about mermaids, this was the first time she's encountered one in reality. (Well, they're sirens, but Konoka can't tell the difference at the moment). ]

[To be fair, the difference was a subtle one so Li couldn't fault her for not knowing it. To her, either name worked. Li perked up when she felt someone approach and watched them from her spot on the rock.

Not another siren but, equally interesting from what she can see...]

Yeah.. I guess I wasn't the only one that was hit with this. Though, I don't think I've ever seen your kind before.

[She tilted her head before rolling off the rock to slip beneath the waves and come to shore.]

So.. what are you supposed to be?

There's been several. This tends to happen roughly every year I've been here.

This time around, I'm a kitsune! [ Konoka demonstrates that point with her new fluffy fox tail and the pointed fox ears that have replaced her human ones. ] Aside from having the fluffiest tail, I can throw some low level fire and lightning magic.

[Li settles to sit at the waterline, tail tucked to the side as she leans in to look at the fluffiest of tails closer and even wants to reach out and touch it! ]

Kitsune. Never heard of them before. But, you look fluffy and warm at least? but, why fire and lightning? I mean.. cool, even if it's not as good as being in the water.

And what do you mean this happens every year?

[Li's only been here a few months so.. she's pretty new to this.]

So you like the water, huh?

[ Konoka can't help but be amused over Li's apparent statement of the water. She must see this monster transformation as an upgrade. ]

So far, from the almost three years I've been here, there's always been a week where people turn into monsters. I work as a healer who relies on magical power though, so the transformations always get in the way of that. This time I've done a few personal preparations to handle the week I'm away from doing my regular magic.

[Ryoma was..trying to learn how to swim. He was never really good at it back home, but if anyone knew him, they'd know that he was a hard worker and tried hard at everything.

And did them perfectly.

Not this time, though. Luckily the song guided him to Li and gasped]

Another..one? [Ryoma stared rudely, blushing but approached]

Your song was beautiful. Are you needing something..?

[Li was a little startled when a male answered her call and perked up a little. From what she could see, he wasn't doing too well with the swimming so she slipped off her rock into the water to join him and swim a quick circle around him.

Where he might be having troubles, Li was a natural.]

Thanks... I was hoping to meet others like me, so, thanks for answering the call.

[She smiled slightly before finally stopping in front of him. Where he might be staring and blushing, Li doesn't seem to notice or care what state she's in or he's in while they're in the water.]

From the looks of it, you're not used to swimming with fins, are you? I can help you if you like?

[..Oh wow she was a fast swimmer, and a grand one. Ryoma bowed a bit, but he caught himself off balanced]

Auh-yes. Please. I would be honored as I am more used to being a human. Are you a natural Siren, miss..?

Not quite.

[She grinned slightly.]

And relax, you're too tense. Your body should know what to do on instinct. Swimming is just as much apart of you as breathing right now and on that note, don't fear going beneath the waves. You can breathe down there as well as you breathe on land.

[She let her self sink beneath the waves for a moment just to show him it was fine.When she rose up, she stopped at the shoulders while her dark tail lazily moved beneath her.]

I'm a Kelpie naturally. The principal is the same, one type of creature in the water, human on land. The only real difference for me is the fact I haven't been able to do something like this in centuries and Sirens have more power in their voice and faster swimmers than Kelpie's are.

Oh, and sirens are humanoid, Kelpie's aren't.

[Okay, but consider this. Ryoma's always tense. But that's neither here nor there. He nodded, agreeing with her a bit]

I see. I have never heard of a Kelpie, but I'll take your word on it. You're a natural at this.

[It was weird taking deep breathes in the water. He wanted to cough out, but he couldn't. It was too much like air. Feeling himself a tad more balanced, Ryoma gave a small laugh at himself]

Having a tail is remarkably strange. Namely with no legs..

[But he tried to swim away. It was a bit better, however Ryoma flipped to his back instead like a dead fish] Ack-

[Leanne was perfectly happy being the only siren in her lake. But she couldn't help but to hear the call in the song and left her lake in the dark of the night in order to move towards the beach. She hated this. Hated it so much. She was naked and bare for all to see.

She idly hugs herself as the night air was cold and the call to go back into the water was great. She misses her wings and she goes to dive into the water and swims towards Li, her head popping above the surface.]

[She had been waiting for others to show up, hoping that she wasn't the only one anymore. So when she saw another siren approaching, she was thrilled and might just be slipping into the water to swim around the other siren.]

Yeah, looks like we're not alone. Thanks for answering my call.. I was really hoping there would be other sirens out there.

[She was starting to feel shy around this other siren but was glad that at least it was another female and not a male. Leanne's scales looked pale but when the moonlight hits them, they shined a dazzling array of colors. Leanne remained still as the other swims towards her and fidgets with a lock of hair.]

[Though now she can't really hide any of her scarring, especially the one on her stomach and along her back.]

I found a nice lake which hardly anyone visits except for sheep and goats. That is where I have been.

[She blinks and tilts her head at the mentioning of others.]

How many more of us are there? Are there any males?

[Oh please goddess let there not be any males.]

[She notices the scarring along with the brilliance of the other female's scales and chooses not to comment. Her own dark scales allow her to blend in with the night with only the moonlight reflecting off her pale skin.]

So far, including you and myself, three females.. and only one rather awkward male.

[Which amused her to no end considering it's been a very long time since she's seen a male of the same species she was.]

I'm hoping more show up eventually. I'd like to meet all the sirens I can before this curse ends and I'm back to being the only one of my kind again.

[Leanne was grate that Li didn't notice or chose to not make a comment on her scars. She was a little jealous at her darker color.]

I... I will pray that I don't meet the male. I don't want him to see my shame.

[She spoke, blushing a little. But then the mentioning of being the only one of her kind causes her to frown and she moves to hug the other siren.]

I guess I can stay around more, so that you won't feel alone. Perhaps there are others of your kind but they are in hiding. Afraid to show themselves or can't.

[Sirens indeed weren't the only ones that Li's song called to her as a certain demon that had been hanging around the beach caught her in his eye.]

[She's actually surprised when she felt the demonic presence come to her. It was enough to make her perk up and really look at who approached and even then, it took her a few minutes after her singing stopped to realize just who it was.]

Styxx?

[She smiled slightly before slipping off her rock and into the water. With a few flicks of her dark tail, she was to the shore and willing herself legs again. What emerged was a very nude Li with dark markings along her hips, side and shoulders.]

I suppose I am. I mean, Siren's aren't too far off from what I am so, I'll take it while I can.

[When she came to the shore and showed herself to him completely naked, he looked her up and down with a smile.]

Yes, and like Kelpies they're known for drowning their victims, aren't they.

[He was watching her with awareness, but no hostility. It was obvious she wouldn't be dragging him below the waves though.]

Still, you are very beautiful in all of your forms.

[She smirks a little and tucks a stray strand of hair behind her ear at the compliment and his looks. Normally, Li wouldn't be interested in males beyond eating them, with a few exceptions but..]

Yes, they are. Maybe you should be careful or I might sing a song to lure in.

[She stepped closer, aware of her surroundings and him though she had more of a feel of curiosity around her when it came to his new form.]

Am I? I suppose those are points in my favor. Though, I'm not quite sure just what you're supposed to be. I've never seen a creature quite like you are now before.

From the looks of me, I'd say a demon. [Or in his world, possibly a god, but more likely demon here.]

And yes, I'd say you're quite beautiful. I'm sure your song would lure in just about anyone.
