Sora is neither ghost nor your form. Sora is a human with a Light.
Draconics eat Light, or Souls, when their bodies have decayed and died, ensuring that they are safe from harm. When Draconic dies, they take those souls and guide them to where they want or need to be.
Thus is a cycle. Thus is our way. Thus it is the only time Draconics are quote on quote hungry.

They are not in my belly. They become part of me. Either they rest, or live the world with me. Most rest. As Guardians we first guide them where they want to go or need to go.

However. There have been cases where the spirits can leave when a Draconic is killed. They are freed. That is the only case that my memory banks know of.
