[Action/Vid] [OPEN] Auspicious First Meeting.
[Waking up in an unusual place like this was something that Mnemon couldn't really have planned for. After her moment of mixed frustration, confusion and unfamiliarity, she gathered up her belongings, including her masterfully crafted armor and daiklave made of white jade. Her Emerald Thurible, her typical headwear and a valuable artifact in its own right, thankfully had made the trip as well. Mnemon was at least pleased that her favoured posessions were intact, and indeed, not stolen by some fortuitous mortals. And then the question shifted to where exactly she was. It certainly didn't seem like anywhere in Creation. Mnemon had a creeping suspicion that this place was some other world, entirely. Or deep in the Wyld. And yet, it all seemed, with exception of her awakening, too 'ordered'.]
[Mnemon eventually managed to activate the 'videophone' device after reading over the documents pertaining to it, and hoped that someone would explain themselves for so unceremoniously bringing her to a mere hole in the ground. Someone, mortal being or no, that would deserved punishment.]
Video:
[Sure enough, a redheaded figure tunes into a new video feed. She seems to be a woman of rather regal bearing clad in set of white jade armor and an unusual tiara-like headpiece with a seemingly huge sword close at hand. She doesn't immediately say anything, but her regal bearing and cold smile was present for all to see. A moment later, she spoke, her tone carrying a similar feeling to her expression.]
"Mnemon, the rightful heir of the Scarlet Throne, requires your attention. If any Dragonblooded have found themselves here, make yourselves known, especially those who bear my name. Being so far from the Realm gives neither you nor Mortals any excuse to stop heeding my words." [Beat. Looks like she might have to wait, if any backup was indeed on the way. Her smile eventually changed to frustration as she realized this wasn't working out how she planned.] "I demand to know where I am and what's transpired. My patience grows thin..."

[Video]
Lady Mnemon. I'm afraid you and I seem to be the only Dragonblooded here... wherever here is. I only woke up here earlier today myself.
[She makes sure the next part is not set to private]
And you know very well there is no rightful heir. The Empress made no provision for succession. But all that won't matter if we never get back to the Realm, and so I propose we put aside squabbling over the throne and join forces. We both know we are stronger together.
Re: [Video]
"I'll overlook your blunt manner, Tepet Ejava, but I fear your beloved scum of the 'Red-Piss Legion' stole whatever meagre amount of grace you had left."
[She then gives a rather smug and satisfied smile, brushing her hair a little out of her face, adjusting herself carefully to appear utterly calm as she continued to speak.]
"That said, I wish you the best of luck in gathering further information: I'm sure a young and precocious upstart such as yourself deserves an ample amount of time to regain all her wits. I'm certainly in no rush to meet with you, but I suspect that we'll come across each other soon enough."
[The proud heiress-apparent wasn't stupid, either! She knew that joining with someone of equal power and capability, even a political and military rival of hers, would be better than joining up with weaklings, cowards or fools. It could be worse, she could've ended up with a certain useless member of the Tepet family.]
"As for joining you, it seems logical. We aren't quite where we should be, and there is nary a Throne to fight over, after all. As long as you've enough sense to follow my lead, our first objective should be to discover more about this place...wherever it might be."
[And another instance of that frigid expression graced the features of the self-styled heiress.]
"And let me make one thing clear. While you aren't exactly who I'd been hoping to hear from, I suppose even you are better than no one at all. It's quite a shame that a descendant or two of mine hadn't shown up in your place, but I should count my blessings."
Re: [Video]
Furthermore, I'll thank you to use the Vermillion Legion's proper name.
Re: [Video]
Re: [Video]
We will see each other again soon. I'm going to go see what passes for lodging in this Dragons-forsaken place.
[Ejava shuts off the video feed without waiting for a response.]
video;
You're in a place called Genessia.
Re: video;
"And where exactly /is/ this Genessia place supposed to be? Or will you simply keep answering the name of this land until it burrows itself into my brain?" Her answer was equally exasperated and desperately impatient to pull even a scrap of information from these colourful characters.
She'd hardly be so impatient or pointed if she had any clue about what was going on. Mnemon would probably be in this mood for any number of reasons and levels of displeasure, in any case.
video;
[She doesn't look like she knows the answer herself. She knew it couldn't be anyone close to where she came from. So he knew she couldn't answer the question herself.]
Im sorry, but I honestly have no idea where in the world this place is. There are so many differences that it would be hard to be certain, but you are happy to try and figure it out yourself.
video;
I-I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Are you a queen where your from?
[She is guessing from your demeanour and the whole crown thing on ones head. Then again...]
Ah, you did mention being an heiress so that is a rather stupid question, isn't it. But I guess never the less welcome.
Re: video;
As for her welcoming, she replied in kind. "I appreciate even the smallest recognition, and while I cannot offer you my full glory, I hope to at least be respected the way I ought to be. I should hope that I'll come to understand more about this unusual area in due time. Surely, there must be one who has some deeper wisdom to offer me?"
video;
"I believe I can give you some respect since I'm sure you deserve such a thing and because of that I'll be happy to help with what you need for now anyway."
Re: video;
She felt a little relieved when this inquisitive young woman declared her intent to help out. "I understand, fully. I feel as though I have less time than I ought in order to adjust, but I'm still appreciative, nonetheless. You will be rewarded handsomely if you help me well enough."
video;
[She knew she couldn't show her around as she didn't know the place well enough yet.]
video;
I-I'm sorry, but did you say dragonblooded? Do-Does that mean dragons are around?
Re: video;
Oh dear Empress, what in the world is that?
It looks like some deviant thing a Lunar Exalted would attempt and no doubt succeed to create. Considering there probably aren't any Lunars around, their tampering's out of the question, though.
She watches for a second, perplexed, and answers... "...Our kind are called 'Dragonblooded' because of the great Elemental Dragons who watch over us, and we share elemental powers in kind."
Not being able to withhold her question any longer, she finally asked... "I'd very much like to know what sort of beast you are, but I fear whatever magical intervention created you may be too terrifying to comprehend all at once."
video;
[She gives a small sigh of relief before she was asked the question.]
I'm not a beast, ma'am, I'm a pegasus.
Re: video;
video;
No, I'm the only one around here and I did arrived via the Bay as well.
Re: video;
"Hmm...how unusual. I suppose that everyone arrives here in a similar state of confusion and disarray. I hope to understand how this process functions, one day..." Perhaps she could find a way to drag a few others from Creation her way if she could find some way to exploit the process. After all, if she made it here, why couldn't someone else she knew a little better? Or perhaps it was all beyond her control, she had no way of knowing for sure.
video;
[She wasn't sure what to say next and instead keeps close to the ground.]

Re: video;
She was only guessing, considering how readily they referred to this place as simply being something that IS. Either that, or they were natives of this unusual realm. Of course, extracting information from these inhabitants would be the first priority in scouting out her situation.
"I suppose if even mortals and other beings have wisdom I seek, it should serve. Tell me, how does this 'Genessia' operate? Who rules this realm, and by whose hand have I been summoned here?" She sighed, frustrated... "If you aren't aware, I shall have to find out these details, myself."
This confusing land seemed to have all sorts of unusual things, as far as she's already seen from the feed. In other words, this was /kind/ of like Creation in the way that it didn't always make sense. But in her questioning, she had to start somewhere.
video;
[She wondered if that was at all helpful in any way.]
Who rules? do not believe anyone rules this 'realm' as you put it. At least I am assuming that you mean something along the lines of King's or Queen's. But I will say if I don't have the information, it is highly unlikely anyone else knows since the natives here don't exactly answer. The best way would be to try to figure it out yourself.
Re: video;
"Unfortunately, it seems to be exactly as you say...And if there's no other option than seek answers, myself, then so be it. I do not intend to waste much time in this place, as it is, until I've found the answers I'm searching for." Scoring an ally or two during her stay wouldn't be out of the question, either, but she'd cross that bridge once she came to it.
video;
[And with that she switches the feed off.]
[Video]
This is Genessia. Not your Realm place. After that, I'm not sure I have much other information to give you.
Re: [Video]
Mnemon seemed more than a little unamused at hearing 'Genessia' used as a catch-all answer. She gave a rather stern and cold reply. "In that case, could make yourself useful, instead, and inform me of any landmarks or other places of importance that you're aware of? I should like to familiarize myself a little more with this place if I'm forced to reside here for a time."
[Video] No biggie!
"There's no reason to be cross with me. I've been digging for weeks but I don't know much more than the very basics. Nobody has any solid idea as to how we got here or how to leave. And as for landmarks, it's plain as can be. A big city."
There is a pause. "I have a map I started, but only the one copy. I'd need to make a copy before I could give it to you."
"Unrelated, is there any chance you know Lady Tepet? You both mentioned dragonblooded."
Re: [Video] No biggie!
Needless to say, she answered the map-related question with a faint nod of acceptance. "I would greatly appreciate it. Even a basic map would be preferable to nothing."
As for the question about Tepet Ejava, she replied rather simply... "Both of us are Dragonblooded, that much is certain. I consider her to be somewhat of a rival. Or at times, a nuisance." She paused. "Our similarity does not mean we share the same ideals or allegiances."
"Considering that we've only eachother to relate to, here, it may be easier for both of us to acclimate to our surroundings." A gentle, yet unamused expressing crossed her features. "Or we may end up at odds with one-another. I'm not entirely pleased with either way this seems to be going."
[Video] The map he shows here pretend it's vaguer than the official Genessia map they gave us X_x
"There's a photocopier in the library. I can make one for you."
When she mentions Lady Tepet, he shrugs. "Sorry. I didn't know you didn't get along...sometimes it's easier to try and gather people from each world together."
He pauses, and then shrugs. The camera rights itself as he puts the map back away. "Every world comes with different rules and skills. If you lump people together, things you learn from one person you can apply to another. Otherwise the information would be too much to keep track of."
Everything was fine until IRL attacked!
The map was somewhat crude, she observed, but it was at least better than what she'd assumed it would be. This might work out, after all, if she could negotiate her way through things. "As for your offer, I accept. It will be of great use to me." She paused a moment and gave a small chuckle. "When we meet in person, I may speak to you more of what else I may need. If you can acquire any other resources that may be of use to me, I'd like you to keep in contact. I will endeavour to do the same, if you keep to your word." Strange as this one was, it felt rather similar to dealing with anyone else.
Everyone wanted something, after all. It was a simple matter of finding what she wanted
This tag got lost at the bottom of my inbox below meme tags I'm sorry!!
He shrugs. "I'll be happy to meet in person and offer my assistance as appropriate but only if you agree to not cut my arm open like your cohort. The cut's just healed and I don't need another."
All Spirit wanted, now, was to get by. Anything more than that, he realized, was likely asking for too much.
