[It's a woman on the screen, her skin is unnaturally pale, eyes are blue and her hair a vivid red. She's done all the usual things newcomers do, like listening to the welcome hologram and reading the note everyone wakes up with.

Honestly it's only the letter that helped her out, since she was honestly thinking she dried out and woke up after another 100 or so years. So she's really glad that's not what happened.

Oh and she spent a bit of time reading and watching the hubbub on the network. Which explains why she's giggling as she started to record herself.]

So this place is now a monster mash? I guess I'm lucky I woke up here and not in another grave again!

[That seems to amuse her, as she lets out another giggle.]

Yeah well, the last time I ran into someone who was undead they tried to eat my dreams and kill me. And that's not counting the army of vampire clones.

But it was not particularly meant to fool her for long, because whoever it was shifted with a poof, back to a brunette with long hair. ]

[She blinks slowly before answering, bringing her free hand up and making a so-so gesture.]

Taking a wild guess you're not a shifter normally? It was okay, passable in a way but you'll have to work it to either hide the ears or shift them away, girl.

[She's not mad, heck no. Just amused.]

Nope. Not even capable of doing this sort of thing normally! Just something that's in my power until this monster stuff goes away, I guess.

Probably. Even if you're already a supernatural thing, it'll just turn you into something else or change you into a human. Definitely a great lesson about how the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Unfortunately, me and Everglade don’t get along very much.

There tends to be a surprising amount of us, we're just good at not drawing attention.

Now that you bring that up... that's a good point. Often hard to think of certain people as vampires, at least the ones I know.

The lone exception is Dracula. He's... the loudest and a huge jerk.

Nowadays it's mostly people who read too much fiction about vampires trying to claim to be him, except they have infinitely better hygiene than he did.

Oh, so he probably doesn't look like this.

[ Konoka does her kitsune thing, and turns into... the Dracula she knows. Except she still has the fox tail and ears, so the completely serious and threatening aura Dracula exudes is completely ruined. ]

I mean, minus the fox ears and tail.

[ She turns back to normal. She sincerely hopes Dracula wasn't watching that. ]

[She makes a slight "pop" noise with her mouth at the visage that Konoka takes, slightly impressed.

But only slightly.]

You'd be right, that fellow looks like he knows which end is the right on to use on a hairbrush.

[ Konoka can't help but full on laugh at that. Chalk one up for someone lucky enough to not run into *this* Dracula. ]

Okay, I have to be lucky I don't know that guy.

Well, you'll probably not wind up in too many coffins here. The Everglade has a lot of undead, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, skeletons, vampires, werewolves, that kind of thing. And Nova has androids and stuff too.
