Feeling "Foxy" is an understatement [video]

[There's snickering before the feed even starts. Lots of it. Is Augustine watching something? The poor man seems to be in stitches right now.]

I look utterly ridiculous. [He murmurs to himself once the video finally cuts on.] What sort of curse is this? Am I some kind of werewolf now?

[The proud dhampir is taking this change all in stride it seems. Augustine wears a rather placid smile despite sporting what seems to be two large fluffy fox ears upon his head. He doesn't seem to mind too much but Augustine certainly has questions.

I suppose Halloween came earlier than expected this year and to think, I was considering costuming as an "angel".

[He shakes his head at the idea.]

Well, I'm certainly going to be turning heads today.

[Namur's skin has paled to grey, and he's sporting red eyes and a few extra fangs.]

[Augustine seems alright with these changes but honestly, he dislikes having a tail. Makes wearing his usual attire quite difficult.]

[Augustine blinks his eyes curiously once he sees the fairy turned vampire. He's not certain what to make of it but the fangs don't look half bad on Mavis. Though, he's a little disturbed that she's suddenly a vampire like him.]

If I'm about to become a fox, wouldn't I have more fur? I can't wander around furless.

[He doesn't want everyone seeing him in the "buff", okay?! That would be so humiliating.]

Why? It's a...reference to my heydays as a priest.

Maybe the fur is yet to come?

[She would feel proud if she knew Augustine thinks the fangs look good on her.]

Oh, you used to be a priest? Did you ever happen to see real angels, too?

Maybe but I hope not to get too fuzzy.

[He just might tell her eventually. Although, if he does---that means he's an awful hypocrite. Didn't he just man a PSA about all this?! Goodness grief...!]

I've met more demons than angels but yes. I've seen a few. The angels tend to appear only around those who lived a good life. They gravity towards fair minded people, the types who put others ahead of themselves.

Yeah. People might want to try and cuddle you if you do.

[She says that in a perfectly deadpan tone. She was already good at deadpan remarks, being turned into a vampire made her even better at it.]

Oh. I see. Do they all... glow? [Pardon her questions, but she lives with one right now. And she's been wondering.]

It seems you are in good spirits about it all at the very least.

[ Kyrie lets out a small laughter, trying to hide it behind her hand. ]

Oh, I'm quite humored by this particular curse because it's relatively harmless. [He pauses briefly.] At least so far.

Besides, I believe I make rather handsome fox. Don't you agree?

[He chuckles quietly as he reaches up to tug upon his fluffy ears. They're soft, almost like cotton but not scratchy at all. He never known foxes to have such soft pelt.]

Honestly, dear Rip has made it her business to pet me whenever she sees me now. She completely loves how soft they are.

I cannot say I blame her. I have to admit they are quite darling.

Well, I typically shapeshift into a fox whenever I'm traveling great distances. Either that or a moth for sake of flight. I'm something of a shapeshifter, Soma.

[Augustine admits this in private for only Soma's ears. He would loathe for others to know of his full abilities. After all, the dhampir has adversaries here.]

As for your question,I have three bushy tails. I'm not certain why either. Don't foxes only have one tail?

Huh. I take bat form for flight, but I don't... really have a shift suitable for land travel. [Doesn't really need one, with Black Panther.]

I figured it was something to do with the Halloween weirdness. A kitsune is a youkai from my home country, Japan - essentially, a minor deity or demon. At least, until they get more than about four tails - each tail signifies a century of life, up to nine. Nine-tailed kitsune are... well, they're pretty much gods. Whether good or evil depends on each one's personal choices, but they're usually mischievous regardless.

You're probably a bit more athletic than myself. Unlike most vampires, I lack certain tools of the trade due to my lineage. What I lack, I conceal with magic.

[He's being completely honest here away from prying eyes. Augustine can't pull off half the stunts that other vampires can but his magic reigns supreme. There's not many who can best him in that department. Augustine is an actual mage hailing from Iscariot, the Holy Church that lead the charge against the creatures of the Night.

Ah, so I'm a fledging deity in the making now? [He looks oddly pensive.] I...don't know if I like that.

I'm quite ambitious at times but trying to become a "deity" wasn't on my list.

I'm not like most vampires either, to be honest. My line is... unique. Only four of us have ever existed in my world, and even then, no more than two at once.

[Soma is very definitely not going into the whole 'I am Dracula' thing right now, though by now it's at least semi-common knowledge.]

The change is very probably temporary. Genessia has done this kind of thing before, especially around Halloween. I wouldn't be too alarmed, if I were you. Just... enjoy it while it lasts, I guess, if you can?

[Winry wondered if she would rather have fox ears then being unable to really go inside, more so when it rains.]

[He's generally pleased with her comment. Augustine feels less embarrassed about these fuzzy ears now. At first glance in the mirror, Augustine couldn't stop laughing for minutes at a time. He just looked so silly! Utterly ridiculous with two tall blond-brown fox ears upon his head.

Yeah, though I kind of hope this doesn't happen again, but I heard something like this has before... So... I guess that means next year might be the same thing.

[Which she would be worried about since she didn't know if she could be around for next year. It was always a mystery.]

I am meant to be a giant I believe. Because doors are just over 6 feet tall I am way to tall to go inside since I'm like 10 feet or so. That's about the only difference between a human and a giant.
