Pumpkiny Illusion: A vampire, lots of questions and a terrible lack of Vitamin D [Video/Action/OTA]

A. Video [OTA]
[Mavis looks pale... Really pale, much paler than usual. It could be because because she didn't get much sun for the past 5 days... There could be another reason. She fidgets a bit before bracing herself and smiling at the camera, a small careful smile.]

So this is a fun event, eh? ...Well, mostly. [She clears her throat.] It's instuctive, at least. And as long as it doesn't get in my way of doing my city guardian's duty, it's fine, right? [Well, mostly.].

I stil wonder what kind of magic is responsible of all this? And I'm surprised that we never get any information or warning about that... I mean, I've been investigating but so far... Nothing. [She tilts her head and her tongue passes over a particularly long canine.] It doesn't seem to be any kind of test. But then, what? A game? And who is it supposed to entertain?

[Her head straightens again and she lifts a notebook.] Anyway, I think I've recorded all the types of transformations people underwent during this event: like ghosts, fairies, vampires,... But just in case I forgot any, feel free to contact me to tell me what you were turned into. Or just send me an anonymous message, that works too.

Oh, and I wanted to say that Fairy Tail will attend the Masquerade Ball on November 9th and to formally thank the organizers for inviting everyone! It's going to be so much fun! Hopefully they won't serve anything with garlic in it... [At least, it's supposed to start after sunset.]

I'll see you all there. [She winks and ends the feed.]

B. Action [In Fairy Haven's main hall/Daytime/OTA]
Anyone who enters the main hall of Fairy Haven and pays attention will soon discover a trail of blood starting behind the kitchen counter and leading to... a wardrobe. The content of the wardrobe is all other the floor and the door is slightly ajar. As you come closer to the wardrobe, the sound of plastic rustling can be heard. Then a sigh. There's someone or something itside.

Will you dare open the door in full and find out?

C. Action [In Fayren's forest/Nighttime/OTA]
Mavis is walking barefoot in the grass - some things never change - under the moonlight, humming a soft tune under her breath. She looks so fragile and helpless. But suddenly she stops, raising her face, listening carefully, and looking around. Then, she smirks, long white canines glistening in the pale moonlight. Her look turns predatory and, uh-oh... she's looking right at you.

You blink and suddenly she's standing right in front of you, still grinning. How did she get there so fast? How did she even spot you?

"Hi~ Pleasant night, isn't it? I was starting to feel a bit lonely, though. Mind if I walk with you?"

[Homura hadn't meant to be stalking the girl from Fairy Haven, but something was clearly off with her. Figured she might as well find out what, fulfill that favor she owed Mirajaine for the free pork. That and it wasn't as if she had much else to do beyond training. Could think of it like that, just be real quiet, sneak around the trees without making a peep.

Until she stepped on a stray branch buried in the grass. Damn it! She mentally scolded herself. Well, it's not like Mavis would notice--

And then there she was, forcing Homura dash back to make some distance. How did that girl close the gap so fast!? And that look...Homura saw that once before already. Students of Hebijo held that hunger in their eyes too.

A hand already reaches to her chest. Had to get the scroll ASAP.]

How the hell did you know I was here?

What makes y'think it's magic makin' all this happen? I mean, not sure what else'd be responsible for turnin' me human again, but I'm not exactly complainin', am I?

Spent nearly a century as a vampire. If y'need any tips, I can help. You can have this one for free: Umbrellas are your best friend. And sunscreen. Actually somewhat useful. Just don't get cavalier about all that now.

Depends what type you happen to be. If you're thirsty, probably the blood drinking kind - you already know about the blood banks, I'm sure. If you're unable to go out in sunlight, they sell a drone in Nova that can protect you from its light, like an autonomous parasol. There are spells that can defend you as well - it'll take me a day, but I can probably find something in the castle library that will help.

Oh. And if you see a guy with a whip and a really bad attitude, stay away. Trevor Belmont is dangerous.

{ The world felt different to Zeref, now, for the past three days. He could perceive the world in ways he'd never imagined; colors were brighter, the air had an odd, tangible feeling to it, sounds were clearer. It had taken a while to get used to the idea that his feet didn't touch the ground, anymore, and these wings on his back had him hovering nearly a foot off the ground. He looked at himself in the mirror, and even his hair looked different; indeed, it strongly resembled a form he'd never seen himself take, but had been told he'd taken back in his own world. He'd tried to refrain from speaking; when he did, his voice had this strange echo to it that the acoustics of Fairy Haven simply shouldn't be causing.

When he saw the blood - even the smell of it was clearer to him - he immediately knew where it had come from. Mavis' guildmates might have freaked out and thought somebody was wounded, but Zeref knew better. He hovered over the pooling blood, and wordlessly opened the door to the wardrobe.

{ Zeref looks down at Mavis for a few seconds, before the door closes. There's a whoosh of a hovering body moving about the room, and then the rustle of curtains being drawn and blinds being lowered. Mere seconds later, the door to the wardrobe opens once more, Zeref leaning down, contorting at an odd ankle given his current, gravity-defying body.

When he speaks, his voice sounds clear as a bell, yet has an otherworldly 'echo' to it.
}

Is that better?

Homura was still on guard, her other hand twitching every now and then. She still wasn't used to the idea of there being monstrous beings with good hearts. She was trying to learn, but that look...all it did was make her more uneasy, ready to throw down if necessary.

"So many people are acting odd," she explained. "I owe your guild mate or whatever a favor, and figured you were going a bit batty."

Not an intended vampire joke. In fact, Homura had not even been aware of such creatures beyond some manga other girls gossiped about.

No changes here. And yes, Trevor is from my world. He's a vampire hunter, from a clan that's been doing the job for close to five hundred years, by his time. That whip he carries is extremely dangerous to all creatures of the night, but vampires most of all. He isn't likely to attack on sight, but... it wouldn't be a stretch to say he has a hair trigger.

I'll see what I can do about that spell. I know Vlad uses something similar to what I'm thinking of.

"Mirajaine or something."

Homura looked away from those eyes. Probably the worst thing she could do, but if there was even the slightest chance she could be controlled like how Dogen trapped her...she didn't want to. And those eyes were unsettling, just reminding her of former fellow students who went mad,who only wanted to kill and laugh.

The laughter didn't help either, forcing Homura to stand her ground. She slipped a hand into her shirt, grabbing the scroll.

"Homura. Not sure what's so funny, but cut it out. Reminding me way too much of horror movies..."

In his eyes, there's no such thing as a 'good' vampire. To be fair, however, good ones aren't terribly common where I'm from, especially not in the time period he's from.

There are several types of vampire. A lot of it depends on diet, but there are also the basic abilities and such to consider. It might be more accurate to say that each vampire is unique - so far as I'm aware, there are only two in Genessia at the moment who share the same abilities.

Whether it's magic or science or some other shite we haven't figured out yet, or government experiments, things like that don't just happen, right? I-I-I mean, look at it, yeah? Vampires suddenly humans, humans suddenly vampires, no explanation, mermaids n' fairies n' robots n'shite too?

[ He pauses to think.]

They ever figure out what happened with them creepy dollies? Same sort of thing, probably?

[ Cassidy nods at the increased moodiness ]

Aye, it'll do that. I suggest drinking. Or drugs. Both, maybe. If y'can have them.. otherwise get some blood off'a someone who can, is my suggestion. Takes the edge off.

Does that even taste good?

{ Probably a dumb question: If had better taste good, if she was now forced to drink it in order to survive. Or was it more of a compulsion, rather than a necessity for survival? Zeref hadn't exactly known many vampires, and never had a chance to figure out how any of that actually works. }

Don't apologize. Do what you have to do. { He'd offer his own blood, but... oddly enough, the Curse has been strangely quiet the last few days. }

She quickly pulls the scroll out; she really needed a better hiding spot. A shame this thing couldn't just vanish and reappear like her swords. Now that she knee she was dealing with a vampire, she once again stared at Mavis, though with a glare.

"I suggest you go back to your place now," she stated. "I don't know much about the demons in this place, and sure, there might be good ones after all. But I know that look you gave me. So just go back and get some help, alright?"

She was trying to be nice...keyword being trying, but the grip on her scroll suggested she was ready to throw down if necessary.

...and this was now awkward. Despite the anger before, Homura felt bad. She was just shunning someone who didn't even do anything yet. It wasn't even her fault she was a vampire or--

Oh god this was reminding her too much of what happened before. She sighed as well, pressing the scroll to her forehead. Great, she was being just as bad as those good shinobi were, just as bad as she was back then with Hibari. Frustrated, she threw the scroll up.

It shines, but nothing holy or solar. Instead it's a green and black glow that surrounds Homura's body briefly. Her clothes shift into a black and white attire, one more fitting of a shinobi, even a small cape. Seven swords in their sheathes all rested on her back as well. Might have seemed much for a wardrobe change, but a transformation like this did boost Homura's powers immensely.

"Look, I'm sorry and I'm not used to all of this....demon stuff. You clearly just wanna have fun, so how about we make a deal, okay?"
