[When the feed starts, Ozpin can be seen sipping coffee at a table belonging to a cafe in the central city looking curious.]

Because I've seen several of our newer residents talk about the educational facilities in their worlds, I've decided to make a casual inquiry. Call it professional curiosity. I am curious as to how the schools in each of your respective worlds operate. As an educator myself, I know how vital these systems can be in shaping and guiding our next generations, and am always looking out for ideas or methods that could better improve the situations at my own school. So please, consider this an open dialogue for the subject.

[That eyebrow is staying hiked up.]

I was unaware that the Grimm inhabited worlds other than the one I am native to. What makes this Reaper different from the other Grimm?

The Grimm?

[He cocks his head.]

Oh. Lord Death, you mean. I don't know your Grimm.

[With one finger, he tries to trace an image of the spiky reaper. He imagines that it doesn't quite portray his prior boss so well, but he tries.]

I guess I don't know.

In my world, there are monsters called the Creatures of Grimm. Their only goal is to send mankind back to the void of nothingness. I actually run a school that trains Huntsmen and Huntresses, whose primary goal is to protect the kingdoms of the world from the Grimm.

Reapers are a sub-species of Grimm.

[He kind of just... tilts his head at the outline. Hopefully, there would be more details given now that he cleared up his side of the confusion at least.]

[He ponders this for a moment, scratching his head.]

Your reaper sounds malicious.

Our Lord Death is a god of order. As a general rule he kept out of human affairs unless the soul became corrupted...

[Spirit sighs, feeling overwhelmingly tired all of a sudden. His gaze trails away from the video feed.]

He's passed on now and his son, Kid, is the new Lord Death.

I see. My condolences.

[He's silent for a long moment, allowing Spirit to gather his thoughts before continuing.]

It is becoming increasingly clear just how similar yet wildly different terminology is across worlds... the Grimm known as Reapers are indeed rather malicious. However, I did not mean to speak ill of your friend.

[Spirit shrugs dismissively. He still was too unnerved overall by the loss of his meister and friend to approach the topic with someone he knows well, let alone someone he barely knows at all.]

It is very strange. I've learned about more creatures in the last few weeks than I have in years, it feels like.

Yes, I know that feeling all too well. This place is very disorienting in that regard. While I would like to know more, I do not wish to pry.

[He hesitates.]

Ask whatever you want. We all have a lot of learning to do, don't we?

[Ozpin sees that hesitation and shifts a bit.]

I can tell from your body language that this is still a very tender subject, one I do not feel right in intruding on. For the moment at least, it does not seem like we are going anywhere, and thus have all the time in the world to discuss these things.

Perhaps it would be best if we reconvened this discussion at a later date, when you have had some time to better acclimate yourself to your surroundings.

[Again, there is a pause before he continues.]

Yes. I appreciate that.

[Spirit isn't used to people not prying, and as such he isn't used to being able to simply allow a topic to drop. As such, he was happy to let the topic go for now.]
