[ Hannah is sitting in her room, having clearly just settled in after finding herself in The Bay. She looks more than a little ticked off, but is trying to hide it. She's failing. ]

Okay great so this isn't as truly awful as it could be, don't get me wrong, I get that but this whole - whackadoodle thing, I mean. The fuck am I supposed to do now?

[ She glances down, thumbing through the pamphlet and playing with the necklace. Taking a deep breath, she looks back up at the camera. ] So this is really, like...a permanent thing, eh? I'm just...here. For good.

[ The young woman sighs, shaking her head. She bites her lip in thought, gazing into the middle distance for a quick moment. ] Okay then. Fine. I can play this game. So, who all's hiring?

This is probably the most boring game as it's very long and tedious. But for the game of work hunting there are places you can go to, or if you say what exactly you are looking for people can easily tell you of places.

[Kaoru was currently in his office drawing up some designs quickly before he had to go do another job as a model. So his pen was still sketching even when he was talking.]

Long, eh? How long? Like how long have you been here?

[ Hannah puts an elbow on her desk, resting her chin on a fist. ] Well, I don't know. I've never really needed to have a job. Where do you work? Looks kind of office-y. I could be into that.

For me a few months. But there are people here who have been here longer than I have. So take that with a pinch of salt as I don't know how long exactly they have been here for.

[He stopped what he was ding for a moment.]

I have two jobs. The one I am doing currently is being a designer of clothing. Son currently drawing designs... This is actually my tidy area behind me is a nightmare with fabric.

[he also was not kidding as he puts the drawing utensil down to grab his device and turn it around. There was fabric littered everywhere except the floor. He at least knew he keep it clean.]

My other job is working for an agency as a idol in training and model.

Ooh a fashion designer eh? So what's in this season?

Hm, it depends. Stripes are always slimming so thats usually in.

Work, live. Mostly. [He grins, amused at her wording.] I'm not sure what whackadoodle means, though.

Cool. So...okay, cool. And like the whole magical kidnapping thing, is just...we're cool with it?

[ Hannah sighs, shaking her head. People from other worlds were not exactly living up to her wildest dreams yet. ] Whackadoodle, adjective. Eccentric, arcane.

I can't say it leaves me feeling safe, but you'll find living here isn't so bad. [In his case, it's quite good.]

Ah I see. Well those are fitting, especially if you stray to places like Fayren or Everglade.

Well sure, it seems fine. I guess. Kind of disappointing overall? I mean it's another dimension. I was kind of expecting something different than Not-Toronto.

[ Speaking of. Hannah shifts forward in her seat. ] Say what now?

Fayren and Everglade will fulfill your expectations, I think. They are filled with Magic - both Light and Dark - and creatures aplenty.

...really? How did...? [ Hannah grabs the pamphlet and opens it roughly - there's the sharp rrrrrip of paper - and she stares at it for a couple seconds. ]

Huh. Well there we go, right here. [ She looks back up at the camera. ] What do you know? Mrs. Henderson was right about my reading comprehension skills all along.

Why read about it when you can experience it? Just make sure you are armed. [Gellert is so damn helpful, isn't he.] Fayren is kinder; you might even encounter a friendly dragon or two.

What are you good at? Pretty much everyone's hiring!

Is that soooooo? [ Hannah sits back in her chair, crossing her arms. ] I don't know, I've never had a job before...I helped my dad in his campaigns, though. Cold called people, went door to door, data entry, that kind of thing.

What did you wind up doing when you got here?

Campaigns? [Perks up!] So your Dad's a politician?

Mm! I basically followed my Da's footsteps too! Mine's an inventor, runs an organization called Torchwood back in his universe, so me and my best mate continued with that here. It gets up to a lot of weird things.

Yeah, he was. I mean yeah, he's still doing that kind of stuff I guess. I'm not sure I want to follow in his footsteps, per se, I'm just saying I've done like, office work and stuff.

Torchwood? That's like a...logging company or whatever? No offense, but you don't strike me as a lumberjill.

Well, elections are coming up here! For Guardian. It's kind of like... American or really old school sheriffs, yeah? Complete with 'em pickin' their own deputies. And if you mention that experience, and pretty much everyone runnin' their own campaign will want to hire you.

But if you're looking for something permanent and not so political, I need someone to run advertising for Torchwood.

[Laughs.] It's more of a jack-of-all-trades thing. But if you mention to Jack about bein' lumberjacks, he might actually pose for you. He's um, my business partner. Best mate. Captain Jack Harkness.

Anyway.

It's hard to put to words all we do. Patenting inventions, workin' on scientific developments to better living experiences here. Um. We have a Haunted House in the Everglade, and next to it is a restaurant that serves [Tugs an ear.] Meats, and also like... even emotion-infused meats, and um oh! Vegan blood! So that even reluctant vampires don't have to go hungry! So they have options, you know? And it comes in like coffee and chocolate and other flavors too.

And phew... we do.... a ton of phone apps and gadgets. Usually we don't have our own stores, just other stores sell our stuff, but we might be able to do a tech store of just like... Christmas stuff and uh, for people of different species or senses and -- [Face scrunch!]

And we do some music and other stuff. Last year we released a Christmas album.

Basically, our motto is Don't just exist, enjoy it! Sooooo things to help people live better, yeah? Which is pretty vague and broad and super all encompassing, which is why it's tricky putting it into words.
