[A rather grumpy visage can be seen on the communicator, screen as Lethe seems to be mashing buttons at random.]

This is stupid... I hate Beorc devices, I hate Beorc cities, I hate being kidnapped, and for the love of the goddess, I hate not knowing who in the hell is responsible! ... But when I find them... I will tear out their throat if they don't have a good reason for bringing me here.

[A feline hiss comes out of the cat laguz as she throws her communicator on the ground, splashing in the inch deep water.]

And I hate my fur getting wet.

(ooc: Enter Lethe! Fire Emblem's very own tsundere catgirl of snark and bark. She's coming just after the events of Radiant dawn's epilogue, where she was in her cozy jungle/forest home, to being dumped here with you folks. [She says it simply in response to the introduction, not really wanting to go into her life history at the moment. Still... she's feeling a little guilty that perhaps her bitterness at her situation and her anger might be getting the better of her.]

I suppose I could use some help... I'm not particularly fond of the idea of sitting on my paws waiting for things to happen, and you're the only one to offer.

That is understandable, I mean I know of people who can't just sit around. [But that is besides the point she said she would help and she will try her best. At least this is what she told herself.]

Alright, so I'm going to help you, but I need to know how? Do you want to be shown around, have questions answered or something else?

As much as I hate idle chatter, let's start with some basic questions. Does anyone know why we're here, if there is some sort of purpose to us being dragged here, and how long this has been going on for? Are there any places that would have use for a veteran of countless battles like myself? I suspect that unless there are forest wilds where I can do all my hunting, I will need some sort of steady income, so I suppose I could hire out as a mercenary.

I-I can't say if anyone knows really, or at least no ones made it clear. [She also had no clue how long this had been going on, so she isnt sure how to answer that question.]

I cant say I know of jobs for fighters because I'm not one myself, but there are always job in a building in town somewhere.

I suppose I should have expected as much from a pony... you don't exactly look like you're built for battle.

*sigh* I'm not really a town person if I can avoid it...

So I've noticed. As much as we might want to avoid certain places and things though, it seems that they can't always be avoided. So if you ever do run into a violent situation, I suppose you can look for me to help you. I don't much care for humans, and there seem to be quite a few of them here, so I'd certainly be willing to lend you my strength to return the favor.

You mean all those hewmans. I didn't even know what they were when I first arrived. They're so scary. But they can be really nice as well.

I know that the ones I've spoken too are alright. Some even like animals, which for me is a plus.

As far as I can see, I have all the time in the world to waste. Perhaps by expressing my displeasure, others might learn to avoid placing me in such situations if they value thier lives.

Time which you waste on other people. Why bother even warning them. If they come, kill all of them.

Perhaps I'd prefer wasting my time telling them my warning, rather than wasting my energy killing them. Perhaps you enjoy killing just for the sake of it Beorc, but I like to think I'm a bit more civilized than that.

Well, humans are a waste of time.

They are senseless and are moved by such useless dreams. Why bother be affected by them? Why bother pitying them?

As far as I see it, you are the truly pitiful one. I don't like humans, I will be one of the first to admit that, yet even I wouldn't completely dismiss them. They are much more clever, much more fierce, loyal, loving, spiteful, influential, tenacious, and wise than you give them credit for. It is their dreams that make them so powerful because it gives them the will and the drive to do things that many would scoff at and consider impossible.

I have seen first hand the limits of man, beast, and gods, and I will tell you that when it comes to humans as a race, there is far more to them than you think.

Try as you might, you won't find them.

Of course you won't find them with that kind of attitude. How long have you even been trying?

I assure you most of us would not be here willingly.

However, there are alternative, temporary methods.

You might be surprised... I'm capable of a lot more than the average beorc, and I don't surrender easily.

I don't doubt that, but even those with god like powers have failed.

Unless they're literally gods, I'm not entirely worried.

might as well be if the most powerful can't scathe them. Where do you intend to find them, when those with tracking abilities are also lacking?

Rule one, don't reveal your hand to the target. I wouldn't want to reveal my less obvious methods in case they have ways of actually listening in on conversations, on this little 'gift' they gave us. Possibly one of the reasons they've eluded people for so very long is that very reason.

Rule two, gather information on what has been tried, what is known about them, how long they have been at this, etcetera.

Rule three, always stay alert in case the target slips up, revealing anything about themselves.

Clever, but if they have eyes and ears, they'll be everywhere. Whatever you whisper they'll probably hear it eventually. A kind of shit face world like this isn't surprising.

How amusing that you have to follow rules.

We all follow rules, even if we do not always realize it or acknowledge it. Simply saying that you don't follow rules in and of itself is a rule. We Laguz do not follow as many rules and guidelines as most Beorc, but for any civilization to survive there has to be some rules and guidelines.

I don't consider such a thing, a rule.

Clinging to such things won't get you anywhere.

And taking law or chaos to the utmost extremes won't get you very far either. Walk your own path, and I shall walk mine.

I know this is likely the last thing you wish to hear, but I would suggest a more tempered approach. From the terms you are using, I'm going to assume that you are not actually a Faunus as you appear to be. That you are in fact from a different world.

All the people you encounter here that are in possession of necklaces such as yours and mine have all been in the position you now find yourself in. We are all visitors from different worlds.

That said, in my own world, being a Faunus or having traits similar to your ears or tail have, unfortunately, made people targets for being different. I have long been an advocate for the equal treatment of the Faunus, and should you find yourself in a similar situation here, I would be more than happy to extend what help I can.

How typical. Laguz by a different name are just as mistreated by humans as always. Tell me, have these Faunus of yours been enslaved by humans in your world? Or were they spared that particular indignity?

I can appreciate a direct approach, however, there are people in this world that wield immense power and revel in chaos. It would not be advisable to confront them on your own, such is their power.

There was a time, yes. However, the Faunus have won their independence... however, old hatreds die hard, and while we have made great strides, I will be the first to admit there is still plenty we could be doing as a species to let that particular hatred die a bit faster.

Tch... Sounds like the old mad Daein king would have loved this hell hole. I'm not looking to fight an entire army of chaotic lunatics, but I certainly have no intention of making nice with every person who rubs my fur the wrong way.

[There's a pause from Lethe, and perhaps an almost... sad droop of her ears.]

And so history repeats itself after all... I would like to meet one of these Faunus, so that I might learn just how close to kin our races truly are. If what you are saying is true, then perhaps I might be able to help.

I would appreciate that... and if you could your eyes and ears open for anyone who might be a 'laguz' like I am. It seems a little unlikely that anyone from my home might find their way here, but you never know.
