[ This video opens with a young boy, dressed like some kind of insane sci-fi cowboy, seated at the coffee shop in the Genessia library. He's got a nice cup of tea, as well as an entire pizza that he apparently brought in with him. He also has a pretty massive stack of books on his table. ]

Hey everyone, the name's Jr. I got here last night, and I was pretty pissed off. [ He gives a quiet and sheepish laugh as he rubs the back of his head absently. ] I bet that happens a lot. But now that I'm looking around, this place ain't so bad. There's a physical library! You can take books for free. Real ones!

[ As if to prove it, he spins the camera around to show his table, and the library shelves beyond the small coffee shop. Real books are hard to come by in his time, okay? ]

The food's great too! And this whole place totally looks authentic, I bet it's really like being on Lost Jerusalem!

[ He'll figure out most people call it Earth... Eventually. ]

I read the brochure and watched the hologram too, but what's the real story? No one's figured out how we got here yet?

[As soon as Jenny had seen the video, she'd taken off towards the library she'd seen in the background. Her motorcycle sped through the streets until she got to the library and she start searching around for the familiar face. He looked younger then the one she'd known, but she known enough about Rubedo to know the one she knew hadn't been that way in his home world, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was back to looking the age he had, right? Still, to see a familiar face even if it wasn't the one she knew, she couldn't help herself.

When she saw him amongst the books, she smiled and took a spot leaning against one of the shelves.]

Should I get you a hat to add to your ensamble, Rubedo?

[Using the name was a habit and it would take time to get used to calling him Jr.]

[ Since posting, he had managed to deeply absorb himself into a copy of The Portrait of Dorian Gray. And that's why his real name catches him even more off guard. He drops the book quickly, and rises from his chair, one hand hovering over one of the guns on his hips. As much as he'd been enjoying Genessia so far, he'd had plenty of suspicions when he'd arrived and they're all bubbling back up to the surface now. ]

Okay, I don't know where you heard that name, but if you're planning to try something...

Woahwoah! Hold on cowboy.

[She holds her hands up to show him she's completely unarmed.]

As odd as it is, I heard that name from you. Or...another you since the one I know wouldn't have been thinking about pulling a gun on me. He'd started going by that name again. I think because Albedo was just telling it to everyone anyway, but I never really asked I'll admit. Who before you get all upset about it, I know him too, and Gaignun. If you settle down I'll explain more, but first off, how about reintroductions. I'm Jenny. The version of you I know was a dear friend of mine.

[At least she wasn't taking offense.]

Whoa... What?

[ He lowers his hand, staring back at her in confusion for longer than would seem necessary for most people. ~~And Jr calls chaos slow...~~ ]

So you met me before? And Gaignun and Albedo?

[ And now he'll scratch his head in confusion. It's a lot to work out. ]

It wasn't when we were kids because Gaignun didn't go by that then, but... Ah well.

[ He steps forward finally, extending his hand. ]

Nice to meet you, Jenny! Sorry about that greeting, it's just, most people who call me that are people I'd rather avoid, y'know?

[ There might've even been a split second earlier where he'd imagined his sister calling his name, and everyone's pretty lucky he exercised some restraint for once. ]

[She could have confused him even more, but she was surprisingly going easy on him at the moment. For now, she actually chuckles in a friendly manner before taking his hand and shaking it.]

It's alright. So you'd rather go by Jr. then? I can use the name, but don't hold it against me if I call you by the other by accident. Habit.

But no, I met all of you as adults. Well, as adult as you get I suppose. [Excuse the tease.] I met the three of you in a place I was in before here called Adstringendum. Or at least it would be a version of you if not you. The one I know looked a bit older though. To be honest, I lived with the three of you. We got along well enough, though I'm fairly certain Albedo just tolerated me. Got along best with you and Gaignun, but that's not to say I didn't find a way to get along with Al too.

[She actually chuckled at the memory. She missed the antics in that household.]

Either way, no need to be sorry at all. At one time I might have greeted me to the same way if I was in your position.

[Boy was she a chatty one.]

[ On the bright side, Jr's fine with chattiness. All of his friends back home were usually in a perpetual state of extreme emo, so this is a nice change of pace for him. ]

Nah, don't worry about it. [ He waves a hand flippantly. ] I'm alright with Rubedo.

[ After all, it isn't like the whole town knows his past, so he's fine with leaving it where it is for now and moving forward, even with his old name.

He gives an amused shake of his head at her joke, and he listens quietly as she continues. His eyebrows inch closer and closer together with each bit of this mysterious past life that gets revealed. ]

Older, huh? Just what was going on there? And why can't I remember it? ...Are you sure Gaignun isn't here putting you up to this or something?

[At that, she leaves the wall and leans in a little, maybe getting a little too close, but what was this thing called personal space. She's only 5'2", so fairly short for what's considered an adult, but she's still taller then Jr.]

Could be an alternate universe, or something similar. There are a lot of ways to theorize about it. Still, I'm quite positive Gaignun hasn't put me up to this considering he's not here. If he was, I would have told you already. I know how you brothers are.

Yes. The books are delicious. The pages do not taste like plastic.

[ There's a young girl that appears close to his apparent age showing up. The bat wings and crimson eyes mark her as non-human. And when she speaks, it's with a light French accent. ]

In all the time I've lived here, I'm afraid not.

Well, welcome to the world. Yes, that library is very convenient. If you borrow overlong, it'll even be returned for you, free from the horrors of late fees.
