02 | [Video] OTA, but good luck translating it!
[The Doctor's brain has been working, after she saw the bulletin about elections for Guardianship, and that working has turned into a thinking, which has unfortunately turned into an idea. An idea she thinks the men should hear. But then trying to reach out to them can sometimes be harder then one would think. So what does she do?
She decides to send out a video post speaking in a very particular language, something that sounds sing-song and melodic to ears that don't understand it, like she's singing a nursery rhyme made of inconceivable gibberish. It's a language only three other bodies in this pocket world should be able to understand, so there's little risk of anyone knowing what they're talking about, and if any of those three hear it, it's sure to catch their immediate attention.
It's not often any of them get to hear or speak in High Gallifreyan.]
One of us should run for Guardian. If one of us can get inside, it may be our best bet for figuring out what's going on. And who would turn us in if we went snooping around?

Hearing that language spoken also makes something of an impact. That language he hadn't heard in how many centuries, and still couldn't be entirely sure he ever would again. ...sure, it was his future self speaking it, so it wasn't quite the same, but one of those things that hits him a little harder than he might have expected.
Not that he's about to let on, after all. It just takes him a moment or two to compose himself before he replies in High Gallifreyan, himself... after one little English exclamation, since he really can't quite entirely contain his glee.]
Ohh, blimey...
[Ahem, okay, now the Gallifreyan.]
Rather prefer handling things on my own terms, not quite so official and broadcast and all that, but if one of us did, it might help things run a little smoother for the rest of us, yeah?
[They already ran the hell away from one Presidency, tyvm, and if any of them would have reconsidered that choice, it's not him. It sort of sounds like taking one for the team, to him, but he can't deny it could be useful.]

Yes, it's definitely nice to hear it again, coming from their own mouths or otherwise.]
Lovely word, snoopin'. Even better when we get to do it. [But then her face falls just a little, and it's obvious by the thoughts that are visibly passing in front of her mind's eye that she hadn't thought about that part of the plan. And it immediately makes her lip curl unhappily.] Oi. Yeah. Good point.
...Guess this means I'd be the one t'do it, since it was my idea, doesn't it...?
[It doesn't help that it's happened three more times since him, either. On two separate planets. But at least when Gallifrey put him back in charge, it had been merely as an emergency scramble to fill the power vacuum he'd caused when he'd kicked everyone else in charge off, and had ended even more quickly then it had begun. No paperwork required, didn't have time for it!]
Video
[president of the world twice was enough for him.]
Video for 13, action for 12
[Pester pester!] Or... if it's personal I'll butt out, yeah. You can keep secrets. Just figured it might be like... code~ so spies, not me, can't get in on it, yeah?
Video for 13, action for 12
Video for 13, action for 12
[And to 13:] What're we talking about?
[Video and then Video again, across TARDISes]
Uh. Uh. Oops. Crap!]
No, no, nothin' hidin' from you, jus' tryin' for a little more security then the network'd normally provide, 's all. Don' fully trust it, yet. Even encrypted. Hold on.
[She got up from her seat, putting the phone on the TARDIS console so they could see as she started fiddling with the controls before she reached over and turned off the phone's feed. In its place, 12's TARDIS display would light up with a video feed from the one she was in.]
Here we go, let's see if this is safer. Don' know why I didn' think'a this before, but then suppose if no one's at home, we'll still get the messages on our phones, yeah?
Anyway, was jus' sayin' one of us should run for Guardian. Get inside, closest t'the top, perfect snoopin' range. Try an' figure out what's goin' on, see if we can figure out who's in charge, above that.
TARDIS to TARDIS
[To the first part, then Rose's face flickered through various expressions. Her reflex was to tell the Doctor don't do it, but if she said it wrong, one of them would try just to prove they could.]
[Carefully:]
You won't via the Guardianship, no more than signing up to be police. You should talk more to my friends first. Guardians are all about fighting the void monsters and paperwork. And it draws a lot of attention from all sides, those taken here, and those native. So you wouldn't be able to run off and investigate whatever you wanted.
I thought about it last year. If Da' -- I mean Pete, was here, I'd encourage 'im to do it but...
[Oh. What is a tactful way to say it required people skills the Doctor would never ever ever be capable of?]
[Rose smiles brightly.]
It's for people like Dad who like bein' around Presidents and not you an' me who got exiled by the queen, yeah?
I think my -- Satou is going to run. She's like a magical girl version of me when I was her age, but without dropping outta school to run off with Jimmy Stone. You should meet her and get a sense of what she does just as police or deputy guardian, yeah?
Guitarist can skip that meeting, although you like your nieces, so it could go either way, since it's not like Mirajane and Koishi. [Shrug.]
But then that way, you can have the fun, and not the work, yeah?
I know two of the guardians rather well. One of which is still here - and I don't think they know much more on who's pulling the strings than the rest of us do.
[A short pause]
If you want go ahead. But I have enough to do with getting myself back together.
She gives him a small, sympathetic smile.]
Fair enough. It would only need to be one of us, after all.
