[Qubine could only sigh as he hears the whispers of certain people who like to talk shit. He's been hesitant to announce his own campaign to the world, but after running twice before, he's learned that mingling with the people is one of the keys. So he begins his feed.]
Greetings, everyone. I am Qubine, a dragon from Sornieth, and a candidate for Guardianship of Fayren. I was hatched in the Southern Icefield, but I've lived most of my life in the Viridian Labyrinth. I lived with the Filia Clan, founded by Grim and Usha, until the clan became crippled by a devastating plague. I then raised a new clan of my own, in order to save the Filia Clan from said plague. The clan I raised became known as the Kalma Clan.
If anyone has any questions about me, you can ask now, or wait until the City Guardian debates, which should take place later this month. In the meantime, I would like to clarify one thing:
There is nothing that anyone can "bribe" me with that I would want or need. In fact, I find the people's dependence on money to be rather astounding at times. All of Fayren will be protected under my wing. If I don't get to protect it as the City Guardian, then I will simply protect it as me. If there's a threat that endangers Fayren, especially on a larger scale, then I'll be there to fight.
...Thank you.
[He makes a bow with his head before ending the feed.]

[No, he can't, but he wants it on record. Besides his rumor is that he runs an underground railroad for pirates, so whatever. Fuck it.]

But I suppose, as someone who would feel at home in Fayren... I wonder more just what kinds of threats there are. Why are people feeling the need to bribe um... Guardians? For extra protection? That's so sad.
...Noted. And there you have it, people...
Video
["When in Rome" and all that...]
Most common threats in Fayren involve crimes committed by mages who like to use their magic for harmful purposes, which makes it harder to ease tensions between those with magic and those without. There have also been several incidents of undead draconic beasts causing trouble.

Wait, did you say "those without?" Like, without magic? Is that possible?
no subject
[Perhaps by a smaller margin than he imagines...]
no subject
It's unfortunate, though. How do you think you would bring peace in that kind of situation?
no subject
I'm not entirely sure. Either meetings or other events to bring the people together. I'll need a deputy or two with diplomatic skills. Perhaps if I manage to win, I can ask my opponent if she wants to become a deputy...
[To follow the example of the other Guardians who had beaten him in the previous elections...]

It is a pretty complicated situation, huh...? I don't really know much about how Fayren works either. I suppose crime is bound to happen anywhere, isn't it?
Maybe you should do things to draw attention to how magic and non-magic can work together, though. I mean, if you highlight the bad stuff then that's all anyone's gonna think about. Do people use magia for good things in Fayren? We alchemists make medicines with it, for example.

Crime is bound to happen anywhere...unless there are no laws to break.
[Sometimes he's questioned the usefulness of these laws, but he seen the chaos that happens without laws.]
Perhaps an event where people can showcase their magical talent? Nothing destructive, of course. I hadn't thought of alchemy as something magical, but I suppose it would make sense to call it that.
no subject
[Silly nods,] Where I'm from, Sevia, Alchemia is a form of Magia. It's, uh... Something maybe I wouldn't be admitting to, but this isn't Sevia, so...
That might be fun, though. You could let people without magic compete too, right? There are things you can only do well with your own two hands. Or maybe projects to work on together, like team events. You need a lot of different pieces and talents to get good results, and good results benefit everyone!

Assuming people even have moral compasses to begin with.
[He's convinced that the Beastclans don't.]
That's a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't know much about magic other than using it in battle. Some dragons use their magic to heal the fighters. Otherwise they use it to attack their enemies.
no subject
Oh! But goodness me. I've been here talking your ear off about whatever things come to mind. That's pretty rude of me. I'm real sorry, Qubine.
no subject
Elemental abilities, huh? That could be another thing to demonstrate, I suppose. I can control ice, and I can do things with that that don't involve fighting.
[He shakes his head with a wave of his paw.]
Don't worry about it. It's been rather interesting actually.
no subject
And whew, I'm glad! Comyn used to get on my case for talking his ear off... There's just so much more to learn through talking together, as opposed to guessing!

...It's not surprising, really. One person just told me he could be bribed with "cigars"...whatever those are...
no subject
[That kind of baffles him.]
...You've seen water before, I hope?
no subject
[She nods to the second question.]
Yes! We could condense water and bring it up from the ground. And sometimes, make it with magia as well.

Hewn rubble you could stack though. [Smoker' s weird hobbies...]
All right, perhaps the rumor sounds more like a pile of crackdust then.
[Try stacking that, Smoker.]

[He's enjoying this, keep it up.]
