[The video comes on, first was the view of a snow-dusted forest before the face of a young girl with large, yellow dragon-like wings wrapped around her. She looks a bit upset, but she is doing her best to be calm.]

It's gotten very cold... Is it all right if I cut down some trees to build a fire?

[The question is mainly for Fayren's leaders, but anyone can speak up with alternatives.]

[Whether you responded to Myrrh or not, anyone venturing into the Fayren forest to investigate evidence of a fire may eventually happen upon a yellow dragon the size of a school bus, just laying outside of a cave, beside a small campfire crackling away. This is probably Myrrh's way to get warm. Dragon form is probably warmer than a human form.

The hulking dragon head shifts over to,glance at the visitor, green eyes watching warily.]

It should be warmer indoors....

[Wait. Wait. Whenever he's seen Myrrh post, it's always been from the forest. Surely she's not....]

Do you not have shelter, Myrrh?

[Shelter? Like an actual house that humans live in? Myrrh glances behind her at a cave she's been ~~living~~ hiding in before looking back,to the screen.]

I found a cave that's comfortable enough...

You can't live in a cave, Myrrh. Especially in the winter. You'll get sick.

[Or worse.]

I'm not human, though. I'll be fine. I've lived my whole life in the Darkling Woods, after all.

[Yes, she is going to be stubborn.

But one has to wonder now that she sneezed a puff a fire.]

[Not to be racist or anything, but he knew she wasn't human the moment he first laid eyes on her. Not that it matters; a child in need is a child in need.]

[Yes, technically. Not this cold, but all places have a winter season. What got her to hesitate is the truth that sleeping alone, without someone to watch over her, is scary.

[Unfortunately, he doesn't know that yet. So he'll keep trying to convince her.]

I'm not saying you have to leave the forest and never come back, it's just...

I don't think it's a safe place to be alone. Especially this time of year.

[With an embarrassed head-rubbing gesture:]

Will you at least give it a shot? If you don't like sleeping indoors after trying it, we can figure something else out.

...Are you inviting me to stay with you?

[A pause...]

If I say yes, will you watch over me when I take my naps?

...Sure. [Said with a somewhat surprised but happy nod.] There's always room for you under my roof.

[He pauses before answering the second part; part of him wants to say whatever it'll take to get her to agree, but at the same time, he doesn't want to make empty promises.]

I have other duties, so I can't be around all the time -- but if I'm there, I will. And if I'm not there, the place is secure enough that you won't have to worry about anyone bothering you while you sleep.

Then if you promise to make sure I'm safe, I'll stay with you for the winter.

[It is agreed then! But Myrrh may remain a little while longer for her own reasons.]

You should start getting your belongings together.

[If she has any.]

I'll come pick you up whenever you're ready.

[It only takes her a minute to make sure she has a leather pouch with her dragonstone, she looks to Roland on the screen.]

I'm ready.

[She doesn't really need much in the way of personal prosessions.]

You're going to have to help me find you, Myrrh. The forest is a big place. Where do you want to meet?

It is...

[A big place indeed. Myrrh thinks about it for a moment...]

...How about in front of Amatsu inn?

That sounds great. Then we can get something hot to drink before we head back, how does that sound?

Can we get hot chocolate with marshmallows?

[That eas almost a call action. An excuse to have something sweet is something Myrrh can rarely pass up.

Nevermind she has no idea if Amatsu even has that.]

[Roland can't help but laugh at her sudden enthusiasm.]

Of course! That's your favorite, huh?

[Even if Amatsu doesn't have it, it won't be hard to find a cafe or someone else who does.]

[Myrrh pulls herself back, being careful not to be too active. It could be bad news in this cold.]

Well... I do like sweet stuff... [But back to the actual topic.] ...Okay, so I'll be waiting in front of the Amatsu inn. I'll see you soon, Roland.

[He allows himself one last chuckle.]

I'll remember that.

You're welcome to wait inside the inn if you like. It might be warmer.

[Either way, he's on his way.]

[Myrrh nods and makes her way to the Amatsu inn. She does as suggest and waits inside.
But he never said how far in she can go. She will be inside, but right beside the front door. Not even close to the reception counter. Each time the receptionist or any passing patron comes around and notice Myrrh, she will timidly shrink away.

Manaketes are so cripplingly introverted.]

[It's not too much of a wait until Roland strolls through the door, brushing snow off his hair and clothing. He looks around, soon spotting Myrrh.]

Myrrh! I brought something for you.

[There is something white and fluffy folded under his arm.]

[When she heard his voice, her wings opened in anticipation, then a inquisitive murmur when she is presented with a present.]

For me? What is it?

[Roland unfolds it and holds it out; it's a cloak, warm and fuzzy enough to make its wearer feel like they're wearing a rabbit (though it's faux fur, if anything). It's big enough to cover Myrrh's wings as well.]

I didn't know if you had any proper winter clothes, so I got you this on the way here. It should hold you over until we get you something more permanent, at least.

Really? Thank you, Roland. You're so kind.

[Myrrh wraps her wings around herself so the cloak can placed on herm once it is, she sighs contentedly.]

So warm and fuzzy...

[That gets an embarrassed grin out of Roland.]

I'm glad you like it.

[He places a gentle hand on her shoulder.]

Now let's see about that hot cocoa, hmm?
