[For the first time since he's arrived in Genessia, Jezebel is making a post where he doesn't look cranky. In fact, he seems downright cheerful, wearing a small smile as he turns on the video for his post.]
Hello there, Genessia. Since it seems I'll be staying here for at least a little while, I went ahead and decided I might start settling in a little more, and I've added a new inhabitant to my little abode.
[Sitting in Jezebel's lap is a majestically fluffy white cat. The cat seems to be as pleased with this particular setup just as much as Jezebel is, and his purrs can be heard on the video while Jezebel strokes his back.]
This is Oleander, and he's quite a delightful little fellow so far. I've already bought him food and a bed and a litterbox and a water bowl, all that sort of thing. But I supposed it might be wise to ask if there's any sort of caretaking advice I might be overlooking.
[He scritches Oleander's ear, which seems to please the cat very much, and he settles even more comfortably onto Jezebel's lap.]
I've always enjoyed pets, but was never really able to keep them while I was alive, and I've never had a cat before. So if there is anything I should know now that I've taken one in, I'll be happy to get any advice.

Action
Sorry.
[It was a low mumble, but as silly as he felt apologizing to a cat, it was genuine. When he spoke again, it was a little louder, meant for the doctor and not his companion.]
Why ‘Oleander?’ What’s it mean?
Re: Action
Oleanders are flowers that grow in the Meditteranean, and some of them are the same white as his fur. They're also poisonous.
[Which is, of course, why he likes it as a name. Because poison.]
They're supposed to be symbolic of majesty and dangerousness, which I thought seemed appropriate for a cat.
Action
[He said it with a bit of a smile, unsurprised with the choice of some poison. Though, he wasn't so convinced 'majesty' applied to the cat when Cassian would catch the thing with it's tongue sticking out for no reason.
He moved around the couch and knelt to be eye-level with the puffy thing.]
Don't seem very dangerous to me. Think you can at least learn to be a mouser?
Action
[Like cats, even when they do adorable little bleps.
Also, like Cassian.Jezebel watches Cassian approaching the cat with a smile, pleased with his easy rapport with the cat. Oleander, for his part, looks back at Cassian the lazy look of a creature who is very content in a warm spot.]
Oh, I think so. I haven't spoiled him too badly yet that he wouldn't want to hunt. Though I imagine he might deter mice simply by being here to start with.
[The 'yet' is definitely there, though, because God knows this cat is getting the royal treatment now that Jezebel has him.]
