Snow monsters roasting on an open fire, everybody keeping on their toes...
Who: Lea and you. Yes, YOU.
Where: Throughout Genessia City, maybe straying into some of the others too
When: Any time during the snow monster event
What: There are snow monsters all over the place, and Lea is having a good time melting and catching them. Anybody want to lend a hand?
Warnings: Violence against snow monsters?
Notes: Prose and action spam both welcome
Lea was in his element. Or more accurately, he was in the element that was weakest against his element, which made the whole thing that much easier, and in Lea's opinion, more fun. He grinned as he casually tossed fireball at another nearby snow monster, melting it into slush. "Even easier than an Icy Cube," he said, tossing a stone that the helpful shopkeeper had provided at the resulting spirit which neatly captured it. "One more down, who knows how many to go."

Ah, Lea! You did it~!
[He claps his hands, beaming. His curse powers may be invisible, but Yoshiya is clearly carrying a sword at his side.]
That was amazing!

Hey, Shi! And thanks; I do this sort of thing back home all the time, so these guys are pretty easy to beat. Especially with my power set.
You doing OK? You look like you came prepared, at least.
[He indicates the sword Shi's carrying.]

[Yoshiya feels bad for these spirits. Hopefully Lea doesn't have to hurt anyone back home.]
I'm fine. I'm pretty durable!

[He nods his satisfaction.]
Good to hear. Oh, you've got some stones right? The ones that weird shopkeeper was handing out?
[Lea's hardly dense enough to not connect the sudden appearance of the snow creatures with that of a shop offering just what was needed to take them out, but the guy didn't seem to be charging money for them, so he doesn't see anything particularly wrong with it.]

While he's changing targets, Lea happens to catch his eye, and Roland gives him a nod of acknowledgement before making a circular strike that knocks the monsters surrounding him away. The sword in his hand is replaced with a different one, equally fantastic, with a flash of light before he returns to the battle.

Lea returned the nod, and, not to be outdone, summoned his Keyblade, laying into the next batch of monsters with enthusiasm. Two could play the magic sword game.

While waiting to see if it will reform, he calls out:
"Are you really hitting those things with a giant key!?" It doesn't look heavy enough to make for a good blunt weapon, but also not sharp enough to make a decent sword... so what the hey?
no subject
He grinned as the other noticed his unusual weapon. "Kinda, yeah," he said. "It's called a Keyblade. It may look a little weird, but it's a lot more powerful and useful than you'd expect." A spirit began to rise from the pile of snow that had formerly been his last monster, and he tossed a stone at it, neatly capturing it.
"And something tells me that yours aren't any ordinary swords either," he said. "I saw that spinning strike; not bad at all."

"Hello," he greeted once there was a short break from the chaos. "Satou Kuroneko asked me to come out here and support you in taking down the snow monsters."

While he didn't like admitting to the limitations of his quirk, it was impractical to omit that information when he was here to help. Especially when it could put him in a dangerous situation if someone he was working with thought he could maintain the powers he copied for longer than he actually could.
"I can only copy someone's abilities for a short time...so just give me a high five every few minutes, if you don't mind?"

"Oh, and do you have some of the stones the shopkeeper was handing out? Cause I've got some extras if you need them."

"Figures you'd be out here." But that doesn't sound like an insult.

Having fun? [she grins, more alive than she's been in weeks. The fire in her eyes is even brighter than the burst she sends at her now ice sculpure, bursting it into harmless sparkling shards a safe distance away.]
no subject
You bet. It's like this mess was designed to be a fun workout for me.

[He paused, then his grin broadened as he got an idea.]
Hey, bet you an ice cream I can take out more of them in an hour than you can.
[Man, how long had it been since he had a friendly competition like this? He couldn't recall.]

"Well, you look like you're having fun," she remarks.

"You got some of the stones form that weird shopkeeper, right?", he said, holding one up for her to see. "You'll need them if you want to actually make any progress in cutting down their numbers."
no subject
"Huh...that is an interesting way to look at it..."
Although she can't imagine someone or something creating an event like this just for one person's fun.
She gives him a puzzled look as he shows her the
Poke Ballstone used to capture the snow spirits."I...can't say that I have. Where is this shopkeeper?"

some time after the video call
And, more importantly: Meet someone who she might be working with someday.
"Lea! Mind your right!" She warned, sending two pink magic orbs whizzing by ahead of her. They buried into two smaller snow monsters and left them partially melted. Satou followed up quickly, waving an arm in greeting. "You alone~?"
Re: some time after the video call
"Thanks for the assist, Kuroneko!," he called. "Just a second."
He turned to his snow clone. "I told you, I don't look good in white," he said. He then shot a fireball at his snowy double melting him to a pile of slush.
Lea sighed, and turned his attention back to Satou. "OK," he said. "Now I'm alone. Been meeting up with people off and on though."
"How about you?', he said. "Doing alright?"

She smirked, approving of his display against the snow. He really was well equipped for the snow monsters.
"I'm doing fine enough. My magic keeps me warm, and it doesn't damage the nearby structures." Giggling, she added, "I hope one of those people was the boy I told you about?"
