[Hanzo had been there for several days now. The AI hologram had told him the basics, and given him information on what needed to be done, but unfortunately hadn't gone over the details of how to do much else. Like focusing the camera.

He moves his hand back and forth to see if the motion is being captured, and when he's sure it's recording he clears his throat and begins to speak.]

Greetings. My name is Hanzo. I arrived here some days ago, and so far I was able to find one job at a non-profit clinic as a counselor. The pay is not ideal, and it may be necessary to find additional work to supplement the cost of living.

I grew up with an abundance of wealth, but right now I find myself not needing anything but the bare minimum. The trend is called minimalism, is it not?

Before I begin to ramble, the point of this is: Are there places to live within my price range? I do not need much space, or utilities. Just a roof over my head, and I can do the rest. Furthermore, I am unsure where I should pursue residence. Nova City seems most similar to the world I come from, but I am not opposed to something different.

[He lets out a sigh as he rubs his face and prepares to end the video message.]

May each of you enjoy the seasonal holiday you choose to, or not to celebrate. Though, is no one else annoyed at the enchanted snow people? The return to form even after I clear a wave of them with my spirit dragons. It is a headache.

Snow is really rude, isn't it? We've never had snow in Sevia, but I'm glad we don't. I didn't know weather could attack people.

I think there are some cheap housing options... Um... There's a place in Fayren that's above a tavern. I don't know about Nova, though. That place is weird.

It is tolerable so long as it remains inanimate for the most part. Where I am from the worst snow attack is between friends, and for fun.

[Their entire situation right now is a bit out there, so if she's on the strange side Hanzo's not picking up on it yet. Instead he offers a little smile.]

Ah, Fayren. Yes, I have heard of the area but have not visited there myself. I will do that. [ A pause, unsure of whether to ask, but..] Weird in what way?

[Probably not the person she knew but--]

Hebijo. Jasmine. Kurokage. Do any of these names mean anything to you?

[Had to make sure.]

[His brow raises at the string of names he doesn't recognize.]

No, I am afraid not.
Are you in search of these people?

[She sighs, but it's one of relief rather than annoyance.]

Nah. You just had the same name as a guy I know. Had to make sure you weren't some younger version of him.

Ah, I see.

[If anything he would be an older version.]

What if I was?

Then I have to put out a message to warn women about him. He's not a bad person, and I do have some respect for him due to his skill and words. But at the same time...he's a pervert.

[And that's putting it mildly.]

I see.

[He wants to be defensive. He wants to say he's not a pervert. He wants to say a lot of things, but he'd be defending someone else.]

I can assure you women have nothing to fear from me. I keep mostly to myself. [Unless he's drunk, but that's an entirely different conversation.]

Ah--welcome back, Hanzo.

[They talked once before, when he was depressed and feeling angsty about reconciling with a brother he'd tried to kill. Ted, not being the brightest, talked before he thought, and thought it a bad idea to bring up a past Hanzo wouldn't know.]

Er, no trouble if you don't know me. That's usual and fine. Anyway, residences...it's novel to here you working there, of all places. Thought you were mad about archery. What city is that in? Always better to live closer to work, naturally.

[It's still strange to him that there was another version of himself that people knew before he arrived.]

Perhaps we may come to know each other once more. [He offers the quickest of smiles as he dips his head politely in greeting.]

Jobs utilizing my archery skills seem the most difficult to find. There are many warriors here. [A pause.] Do you think me unqualified for counseling?

Eheh, perhaps. Well, I'd say you're rather more qualified now. Before you tended more towards brooding and other sullen pursuits. Still, you're not wrong about the surplus of men of violence, nor the dearth of peacemakers to go with them.

[Addendum: it's perfectly all right to bring up mysterious pasts if it's funny.]

Well, it's not like the world's fastidious about qualifications, just effort. So long as you're willful, that's enough. Well, if you're really committed to making do with less, there aren't many, if any laws about tramping. But assuming you'd like something more respectable: which city is your practice in?

[If he looks a little defensive it's because he still does a good bit of brooding, but for the most part is more approachable than the version of himself from his past.] I suppose I could do more to balance the scales.

Tramping? [He rubs his chin then sighs. There was a point where he was used to the finest establishments, and demanded the highest quality in things. Now, though, he was satisfied with any roof over his head.] Nova City. I can live with less respectable.

[Another small laugh for his refusal of the hobo life. He understands it's not for everyone. ~~especially if you don't have some BS-bag to live out of.~~]

Nova City is, sadly, one of the pricier, but...ah, the UF Lounge ought to do. It's **'s a month, which is as cheap as you can find. Unless, of course, you room with another and split the fee. If that's not your tac, you'd better hurry: there's only one room left.

Ah! And it's as near a bar as one can be, so that should solve your sake problem.

[So it seems as though he will need another job to make ends meet, but he plans to figure out the details eventually.]
