[Something bumps against a certain huntress's phone and the next thing the network is greeted with is a sideways recording for a few moments before it rights itself of a very VERY over decorated apartment with lights and garland around the windows, snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and a tree that is loaded with decorations and surprisingly strung popcorn and electric candles. There's even an advent wreath on the kitchen table just off to the side of the video with four candles along with a plate of sweets despite the fact that Rip can't eat the cookies herself. There's already a few presents under the tree and Rip can be seen off to the side wearing this and a pair of leggings while working at a pretty heavy duty sewing machine with bits of leather on the table and on the floor. It's obvious she's working on something... it's just hard to tell what.]

Pumpkin, hand me zhe scissors....

[Rip's cute little pumpkaboo darts into frame with a pair of scissors in its vines to give to her as she's working on marking something out...A bag maybe? Or some sort of leather thing...As Rip works she starts to hum the tune to 'Jingle bells' but, when she starts singing, it's soft and most definitely in German. Once she's done, she slips into another Christmas song .... Rip may not be aware that she's treating the whole of the network to a private concert just a few days away from Christmas...and is that tinsel braided into her hair? Probably. The Huntress apparently really likes the holidays....]

Give Rip a moment to even notice her phone's on. Which.. might not be until after she's done marking something out on leather and reaching for the scissors she had asked for.

Though, when her pumpkaboo appears on screen making cute noises, Rip finally looks up and then sighs as she reaches for her device, pauses and then smile when she sees who is on the other end.]

Sorry~. I didn't expect Pumpkin to turn zhis zhing on.

Hm? Oh! She's a Pokemon. Back vhen I arrived, ve vere given a team und able to keep three at zhe end of it. Pumpkin iz one of zhe ones I kept.

[She grins a little as the small ghost type ducks under her hair to hide.]

I zhink she's a ghost grass type. Eizher vay, I find her adorable und a good assistant.

None of that makes any sense to me.

What happened to the other two?

Honestly? It barely makes sense to me eizher. Apparently you're supposed to uze zhem in battles or zomething...

[She shrugs a little.]

Zhey're still here. Hilde is sleeping in zhe bedroom at zhe moment actually...

[She shifts to pick up her phone and heads back to the bedroom and flips on the light. Amusingly enough, there isn't a bed, there's a pretty big hammock filled with blankets, pillows and a snoozing Swoobat nestled in all of it.]

Zee? Zhis is Hilde. Isn't she adorable? Az for zhe last one...he's a very bite-y fish I'd razher not let out of his pokeball. I like my fingers to remained unbandaged vhile I'm vorking on my gifts for people.

[ Once again, none of this business made any sense to him. But his eyes, in the least, could follow what she was showing him. ]

You look.. festive. [ It wasn't quite a compliment, but it was .. an acknowledgment that he noticed her attire and thought enough of it to comment on it. So, perhaps, in that ... was the compliment? ]

[Whether it's a compliment or not, she's taking it as one as she brightens up with a pleasant grin.]

Danke! I can't help it, I've alvays liked Christmas und zhis year I can actually celebrate properly. Zo... I might haf over done it a little.

[She looks a little sheepish admitting that.]

It's usually not az...I guess you could say cluttered. I like zhe festive feel zhough.

Zhe lights, zhe cheery feeling it instills. Even during var time, ve celebrated as best ve could. It vas time ve spent vith family und friends.

[ A silence ensues after her response. There was nothing there he would indicate he related to, or, perhaps would speak on. Of course, this was his usual demeanor. ]

[She figured and doesn't expect much when it comes to understanding what she was talking about.]

[And that depressed look definitely doesn't escape her. Rip tilts her head slightly and pauses in what she's doing to study him a bit more. ]

Alvays, I find zhis time of year to be one of zhe happiest times of year.

I would worry if a someone named Pumpkin wasn't mischievous. [What with the Halloween connotation.]

I've never really noticed it.

I zuppose so. But, she's as useful az she is troublesome.

[Rip leaned back in her seat to take a break from her sewing and cutting for now.]

Oh? Zhen you must not haf had any good Christmas's. Hopefully zhat von't be zhe case this year. Zhere is plenty of joy to go around.

[He has heard about them and they are curiosities. Gellert takes a long drink of wine.]

We didn't really celebrate it. My Great Aunt was the first to give me presents and I suppose that was nice.

[Rip nods as the Pokemon in question decides to hide in her long hair, nestling at the nape of her neck for the moment.]

She is. I haf three of zhem in total. Pumpkin's just zhe most social of zhe three.

[However... hearing that he wasn't used to celebrating or barely ever got presents does give Rip an idea. Gellert might be getting a present from her at the very least. Once she figures out what to give him.]

Vell, it's never too late to start celebrating. You can alvays make up your own traditions in a place like zhis or carry on old ones.

[Poor little thing. He smirks and rests his chin on his hand, his eyes looking a little dazed. Or drunk. Probably drunk.]

What do the other ones look like?

[The idea of celebration causes him to wince.]

I'm not really in the mood. [He's not sure if he should be in mourning or just...impatient.] If I spend the holidays quietly I will consider that a victory.

[....Rip knows drunk when she sees it. Half her family just so happens to be Pirates so...Admittedly, it was damn near impossible for her to get drunk without special circumstances.]

One's some zort of bat. Hilde is zimply adorable und easy to cuddle. Zhe ozher is a fish.

[It's better if he's drunk right now. He's calmer under the pressure of the wine.]

He...yes, he did. He sensed he had to go for some weeks, but he never told me.

[Rip wasn't sure just how he was traveling, only that he was. Very soon she was hearing a knock and turning off her device to answer the door with a slight smile.]
