Christmas at Lea's
Who: Lea, Hector, Shi, Rapunzel, Karla, Dove, Sora, Martha, David, the 10th Doctor, Rose, and the 13th Doctor
Where: Lea's apartment
When: The afternoon of Christmas day
What: Christmas party! Ugly sweaters encouraged, but not necessary
Warnings: Christmas cheer, tacky sweaters, and possibly some bad singing. No Grinches allowed!
Those who arrive at Lea's apartment for the Christmas party will find it decorated for the occasion. In one corner is a Christmas tree, as large as would be practical for the apartment and surrounded with wrapped gifts. Other garland is hung around the main room, and there are wreaths on all the doors, including the front one. A boombox type music player on an end table near the tree plays Christmas music at a volume high enough to enjoy, but low enough not to interfere with conversations.
And of course there's food. Some of it is traditional party snack fare; a veggie tray with dip, cocktail sausages with three varieties of dipping sauces, bowls of potato chips, mini pretzels, and Christmas themed candies, as well as a deli tray with rolls for sandwiches, and of course a plate of gingerbread cookies in Christmas shapes. Some of it is a bit more unusual though. There's a large pot of what looks like some sort of noodle soup on the stove, as well as a tray of various simple sushi rolls (cut into bite size portions), and what look to be two kinds of chicken wings in sauce. Aside from the soup, most of these things are crowded onto the kitchen table so there's space on the counter- near the plastic utensils and paper plates, cups, and bowls- for people who plan to bring their own stuff.
In the refrigerator there are several kinds of soda, an eight pack of bottles of ginger beer, two bottles of wine (one cranberry, one a table wine in a Christmas tree shaped bottle), and two similarly size bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling cider.
Even Lea's Pokémon are getting into the spirit. Fireball the Growlithe is wearing a red bow on his collar, and his Honedge, Buster, has a soft gold ribbon tied in a bow around its body. And in case anyone brings their Pokémon with them, there's a basket of various kinds of Poffins for them to munch on that Lea picked up from a shop near the Pokémon center. (The Poffins are safely edible by non-Pokémon, but most people would probably think they taste a bit funny.)
As for Lea himself? He can be found wearing a rather unusual Christmas sweater that has a small, thin screen in it. The screen projects the image of a dancing and shifting fire into the knitted fireplace, complete with soft crackling sounds. He'll be waiting happily to welcome his guests, trying to hide his slight nervousness due largely to never having hosted a party before.

Lea! Merry Christmas! [At his side, Prinny the Politoed is holding a container of Poffins above her head. She croaks her own greeting, smiling as widely as frogs do.]

Hey, Shi! Merry Christmas! C'mon in.
[He steps aside to allow Shi and his Politoed to enter.]
I left some space on the counter, so you can put the food you brought over there.

[He moves to gently guide his Pokemon towards the counter, watching her wobbles and struggles. If anyone moves to help her, the Politoed will resist stubbornly: She can do this!]
Have you had a good holiday season so far, Lea?
no subject
Yep, pretty good so far. The whole thing with the snow monsters was a ton of fun. How about you? Having a good one so far?
Mingling...
[After being invited in and once she's done talking to Lea, she glances at the food and drinks, glancing at the other guests. This is her chance to make a few more friends, but she may need a little help to get a conversation going...]
Re: Mingling...
Merry Christmas, Karla! Glad you could make it!
SO LATE, but SO EXCITED
Carefully wielding the two promised bottles of liquor in one hand and a wrapped gift box tucked under her arm, she knocks on the door, gently chiding the little eevee darting excitedly back and forth between her feet.]
:D
Hey, Dove! Good to see you! Merry Christmas!
Re: :D
Merry Christmas to you, [she laughs, looking somewhat embarrassed by the pokemon's actions, but too joyful to stress.]
Re: :D
Well, since apparently Lovey is too excited to wait for an invitation, c'mon in.
[He steps aside to allow Dove to enter. When she does, Fireball, Lea's Growlithe trots up to greet her too, in a thankfully more restrained way than Lovey, though his tail is still wagging vigorously.]
