Good Night, My Angel
WHO: Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long
WHAT: Yang braves the lightning storm to bring some books back to the Yangcave. Time for some nostalgia!
WHEN: December 19, 2013 - Evening
WHERE:The Yangcave Ruby and Yang's apartment
Yang didn't mind the lightning. It didn't strike all THAT often, and as long as she avoided high ground, she didn't think she had anything to worry about. It was actually kind of pretty, watching the sky light up and dance with flickers of bright light and bone-shaking rumbles. She could have watched it all day.
Since the tornado and sandstorm days were coming up, she took the liberty of getting supplies. Having the puppy around made Yang feel better about leaving Ruby alone for a little while, so the big sister could run some necessary errands. Still, she was worried. Even though Ruby was doing better, she was still a far cry from the happy girl she'd been last week.
Stopping at the library, she picked out ten books (her limit) of varying topics and titles, though all of them featured some sort of adventure and a brave hero or heroine rising up against the forces of evil. Then she stopped to fill up what carrying capacity remained with way too much junk food. The team was going to be cooped up for a while, so it was best to be prepared for movie marathons and scary stories around the flashlight.
Shuffling the load in her arms, Yang fished the key out of her pocket and unlocked the door, toddling inside.
"Ruby, I'm home!"
