He hadn’t noticed her until her fall caught his attention. From the corner of his eye he caught the swift movement from a horizontal figure having lost its position. Not that it was a towering height, by any means, and as he came closer to inspection he also found out just who had lost to gravity. “A girl, here, by herself?” He said softly as his feet made the final few steps to the fallen body. He peered down at her, his bangs and position of his head cast a shadow over his face.
“There’s only one of me.” He felt an urge to make that clear first before anything else. “What are you doing here, alone?”
